Still Not Dancing but Maybe Could
Okay. Fat-related question number 1,002: I look in the mirror, and I see no changes. I feel like a puffer fish, get on the scale with fear and trembling, and find out that I've lost another pound or two. The scale reflects something that I can neither see nor sense. WHY?!?! Have I been so big for so long that my body image is set? Why can't I see myself with accuracy? My hubby, God bless'em, doesn't see the losses or the gains. He says that he just sees me. Why can't I see me?

WOW
Bundy Bundy Bundy- calm down my loser friend. Your at 219 now? OMG that is fab! Send me your before and after and I will tell you where the loss is. I can't believe your doing so good.
I have the same issue though. Are you taking measurements? I did that before and at one month and I did see a difference, in my ankles and chest. LOL Funny place to lose weight! So, it got me a bra one size smaller. I Guess I'll take it.
I lost sixteen lbs my first month and nothing since but I haven't been trying hard either. I feel good though and am going to keep trying.
When I look in the mirror I see a puffer fish one minute and a goddess the next. One day I'm going to narrow down that morphing between blinks and only see the goddess. You will be the same. I just know it.
Great Job! I hope you really do start seeing it soon!

question
Well, from my experience - I have had times when I lost a few pounds and I couldn't tell. I have had months where the SCALE showed a loss, but I lost very few inches that month - and also vice versa. I think it depends on "what" you lost that week. I think sometimes we are releasing water and sodium. For example, if I eat something that's REALLY salty (like gumbo) I will actually gain a few lbs. but then it comes right off within 24 hours - so salt intake will affect you. Just keep doing what you are doing and the results will show over time. Keep a journal and do your measurements once a month. That is another cool way to see some change besides the scale.
