Before After

I can't stop eating!

UGH! AF is due ANY day and I am just sitting here eating whatever I can get my hands on because NOTHING is satisfying! It all started healthy like baby carrots dipped in red roasted pepper hummus. Then I cut up a cucumber with a drizzle of italian dressing. Then I moved on to some taco bean dip w/ whole grain tortilla chips. I STILL wanted to eat! So, when I went to the grocery store to get a few things I was out of (gee...I wonder why), I decided to buy a PIECE of cake from the bakery isle as they sell single servings (well...let's just say it's ONE HUGE square). So...I figured...what the heck...I'll eat it, be done with it...problem solved, right? It's gotta be better than buying a whole cake right?

I feel like I am about to puke and burst at the seams. I should have just gone straight to the store, bought the damn cake and made it worth it.

Nuff said.

Totally Understand

I was there a couple days ago and it sucks.  Try talking a walk and having a big bottle of water with you. It'll help keep your mind off the food, and you'll get in some exercise. A lot of times, after I exercise, I don't WANT to eat anything bad cause I'm feeling good.  You did pretty good though...up until that cake.  For me it was the bag of white chocolate mint M&M Premiums that our nanny brought home for me.  That sent me right over the edge!!!

Just go for it

I find that the times that I REALLY want something, NOTHING is going to satisfy me except for that thing that I REALLY want, so it's best to just accept that you're not going to be satisfied and not eat anything, or go straight for the thing that you really want.  If you ask yourself if it's worth it, and it is...just eat it.  Try not to eat the whole thing, but really, you're just going to keep eating and eating until you finally eat the thing that you really wanted anyways, so it's better just to eat what you really wanted in the first place, if you think it's worth it.

Dieting isn't about depriving yourself.  It's about learning how to live and still lose weight.  If you can't sustain the way you're eating in the long run, you won't keep off the weight.  So, unless you plan on depriving yourself of cake for the rest of your life, I say, "Let them eat cake."  Just not a whole lot of it. lol
