 i should nominate me for Worst Blogger of the Year. i get so tied up in stuff i am doing, or i think nothing interesting has happened etc etc etc.


but! i made my goal for the month ... yay me! 296 pounds this morning. and, when the stuff arrives, i've decided to give nutrisystems a go. I've heard that some of the food truly sucks, but i had a chat to a friend who is on it and got the skinny on what to avoid and what is good.

oh wow

 so, did i ever mention that i am HOPELESS at blogging?

ok, i'm hopeless at blogging ... there, now you know my deep dark secret.

life just plain got away from me to the point i even had to hunt down my login for this site. but, on the bright side, weight loss is happening ... YAY! down to 301, just 4 pounds to go to hit my goal for the month. easy done :)

although, my prefered exercise is on hold. i love going for walks, but currently its a balmy -5 degrees outside ... i think i'll stay inside till it at least gets above zero.

ugh

 well, i survived the holidays ... the diet definitely did not. Either my scales are broken or i really did manage to gain 11 pounds *sigh*. Time to start over. Thankfully we have never been much into huge new years parties so that won't be an issue. Our anniversary we are planning just a night out at a nice restaurant, so should be easy enough to make sensible choices there.


Time to rework the goals a little and actually get serious about this.

choice one: count calories or do atkins again.

both work for me, Atkins means i don't have to think as much, but then, bread and pizza are my downfalls there. Counting calories means i can have the bread and pizza but i have to watch everything so damn carefully. ah well, i guess for this week at least i'll just count the calories while i decide.

Day One

I woke up this morning knowing, not in a brilliant flash of light way, but just in a quiet "i've always known, really" way, that i HAVE to actually get off my ass and drop some weight. So here i am. Goal one: 10 pounds by the end of january. not a lot when you consider the over all goal is 157 pounds, but everyone has to start somewhere.


Time to investigate *gulp* exercise.
