Gosh haven't been here for ages

Its been ages since I posted a blog - weight is still coming off slowly, just about to go for a walk.  Got a new DSLR camera for my birthday so might take it with me and take lots of pictures.  Going to get ready for my walk now - normally earn a few bonus points when I do this.  Might write more later

The first battle of the war is won...

Had weigh in last night and lost 2lbs - yay me at last.  I am going to stick to 17 points a day again this week to see if it keeps happening.  So I think I can say I have had a good week!  It is now a holiday weekend in the UK - May Day on Monday so have a busy time ahead - new bed being delivered tomorrow so I will be building that, which should keep me quiet for a few hours.  Also getting my hair re-blonded and cut tomorrow - love it when my hair has just been done as it looks so cool.  Not sure what else we are going to do this week end - weather should be nice so might go for a walk or two - exercise good - slobbing round bad!!!!

My target for this week is to try and lose another 2lbs - this will leave me 1 more for my first stone since joining WW.  I am on my way to being slimmer and it is so cool - I am probably the lightest I have been for a very long time (maybe as long as 14 years) and I know I am going to be slimmer.

Wishing you all a lovely and slim week end

Not much to report really...

Did my first aid course yesterday, I can now do CPR, put someone in the recovery position and deal with burns, major cuts and sprains.  Quite enjoyed it actually.  Glad I have lost weight as there was a lot of being put into recovery position and it does not look good when your belly is flopping around (I had to put someone in recovery position whose belly was flopping around and had on very unflattering, unattractive very large grey knickers on that came over top of her jeans - I'm sorry but YUCK!!!!!)  Lunch was not such a big issue, I went to Sainsburys before it started and bought some couscous, a salad and some quorn slices so did OK, couscous was a bit high in points but still managed to stick to my 17.  Also earnt a bonus point on my pedometer.

Today was an uneventful day at work - weather was rubbish today - foggy and wet.  Went to doctors after work for my depo jab for contraception.  She offered me an implant that would last 3 years - am now looking into it for the next time I go back in July.  Sounds a good idea but don't like the idea of having it put in my arm (might hurt and I'm a big girl's blouse!!!)  Not walked too much sadly - only about 3000 steps, which is good considering I work in an office but could really do with doing more steps per day.

Did session 2 on my Wii Health Coach today - was fun but can only really do about 15 minutes a day during the week so am just going to keep doing it as and when I can.  My logic is that I am doing exercise that I wouldn't normally be doing so it is better than nothing.

Weekend activity...

Well had a pretty good week end.  To start with on Saturday I had my personal weigh in - lost 1.5 lbs - big difference from my WW weight in 2 days earlier.  Did supermarket shop and then went out and bought a new bed.  It will arrive next week end so can't wait for that!  (I know my life is sad).  The weather has been beautiful this week end so chased the rabbit round the garden for a while on Saturday afternoon.  With all my walking around on Saturday I earnt half a point on my pedometer.  Ate very little on Saturday all in all so got to have chinese takeaway whilst watching the speedway grand prix - excellent racing, can't wait for it to come to Cardiff in June!!!

On Sunday went for a long walk with Jay from WW - we went up the hills at Northala fields - lovely walk in lovely weather.  Then went to B&Q to look for wallpaper samples and paint samples to decorate bedroom.  Got home and chased rabbit round the garden again for an hour - earnt myself 3 bonus points today - yay me!!!!!    Decided what wallpaper to have, now just need to decide on the paint!

Still sticking to 17 points a day (even yesterday when had chinese) and drinking all my water.  Tomorrow might be a bit difficult though - I am on a first aid course and there are no facilities for food - will be taking in some cereal bars for snacking on then there is an hour for lunch so am hoping that will give me enough time to get to M&S or sainsburys to find a salad or something I can eat without doing to much damage to my points for the day.

This means war.....

After all my angelic behaviour this week (and last week see earlier posts) and copious amounts of water i have imbibed (and peed back out again!) tonights weigh in was also disappointing.  I have stayed the same.

I am now totally ticked of with my body - what on earth do I have to do to make it lose weight - hack bits off?  Followed the Wendie plan religiously for a week after everybody else that did it lost decent amounts of weight and I lose SFA.

Spoke to my WW leader tonight because am not happy and she has suggested I cut my points by 2 per day for a week to see if that gives my system the kick up the ass it so obviously requires.

Also got my Wii fitness coach today so will start to use to see if that helps - jeez something has gotta give here!!!!

So heres to another week and hopefully this time there will be a weight loss at the end of it - not sure what to do if there isn't - other than throw a tantrum!!!!

Blimey - Willpower overload

Well day two of the team meeting in the office - todays food was left over pizza from yesterday, loads of sandwiches, cold meats, bread rolls, salad and BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!!!!

So how did I do???  Check me out - I am on fire - tuna salad, pitta bread, more salad, prunes, apple and a 1 point cereal bar.  And I had to put the lunch out for everyone else - not one morsel passed my lips!!!! (polishes halo)

I have drunk 1.5 litres of water so far today - my last bottle full is sat next to me begging to be drunk - am working on it.

And I remembered my pedometer today - I am healthy - done over 6000 steps so far today.

So basically yay me - WAY TO GO - super dooper pat on the back for me for being such a good WW girlie this week - just hope this is reflected on the scales on Thursday!

Success & failure

Well I survived my first day back at work - did not eat any pizza  (does dance round kitchen to celebrate!) - stuck to my salad, pitta and tuna and felt smug and proud of myself for doing so.  My whole sales team were in today so my office was very busy (there is usually 5 of us and today there were 23) very noisy and full of people who do not diet (or want to diet but can't be bothered).  So I got a lot of "aren't you good", "how do you resist temptation" and the old faithful "just have one slice - it won't hurt you"  - YES IT BLOODY WELL WILL!!!!  ITS FULL OF CALORIES AND FAT AND DEFEATS THE OBJECT OF BEING GOOD.

My failure was I forgot to clip my pedometer to myself this morning before I left.  Now I know I work in an office but I have previously worn a pedometer to work and I have been known to walk approx 2 miles during the course of the working day (and that is without going out for a walk at lunchtime!).  Tomorrows task is to remember the bloody pedometer - it's not much use on the desk at home!!!!!

I have also drunk 2 and 1/4 litres of water today - yay me - I have probably peed just as much, had to keep going to the loo!  Am sure it is doing me some good somewhere - maybe its washing the calories out of my body .

Well here's to Tuesday and hopefully it will be success only (subject to my brain remembering the pedometer!).  Hope you all have had a good day today

Wendie Plan Day 3 - Super Low day

Well it is 8pm and I have survived SLD - I still have 2.5 points to use up!   Saving them for a highlights hot choccie and WW cookies for supper.  I am surprised how easy it was, I haven't been hungry all day - major shock!

Went shopping for clothes today - got into a size 12 jeans but for some reason my top half is still 16 - despite how much weight I lose my top half never seems to change.  Got some lovely new tops for work because I don't have any summery stuff and I am fed up of wearing cotton shirts all the time.  Got lovely bright yellow and shocking pink tops - not my normal colours so should raise a few eyebrows tomorrow at work!

All my jobs for the day are done apart from making pack lunches for me and DS - he has sandwiches (easy) I will probably have salad and pitta (my whole team are in tomorrow and they are having pizza for lunch so need to be very prepared both psychologically and food wise!).  I also have one extra point tomorrow so that should help - will be able to have some fruit to keep me away from the dreaded terrible pizza.

Didn't do as many steps today but did enough to earn half a point and be healthy!!!!

Well off to make pack lunches - hope you all had a great day and good luck for the week ahead

Day 2 Wendie Plan

Well I survived yesterday on 2 less points than normal - and actually struggled today to eat 10 more points than normal!  To make it easier we had chinese for dinner which was lovely.  Am now feeling very full (and slightly piggy even though I stayed within my points for today).  I have managed not to eat anything overly snacky today - had raisins and cherries as my snacks instead of cereal bars.

I also did over 18,000 steps today and earnt 4 bonus points - yay me - walked almost 8 miles.  I have also sussed out the water thing - I know have a 750ml bottle and it is my intention to drink 3 bottles full a day - have managed it yesterday and today so I am hoping this will ensure I get all the water I am supposed to.

Have to prepare myself for tomorrow because is it my super low day - 15 points - I will probably have to sit down and plan the whole day first thing to make sure that I stick to it - this is the day that is worrying me the most.  DH and DS have roast dinner on a Sunday (which I have to cook of course) so I need to make sure that I don't feel like I am missing out with my dinner without having to starve myself all day to have enough points for dinner.

Went and collected my cat's ashes from the vets today - "he" is now by the fire in his sleeping cat shaped box - bit sad when I got him but OK now.

Also forgot yesterday - got my first graze box (graze.com).  It had fresh pineapple, dried morello cherries and a nut mix (brazils, almonds and pecans)  Had the pineapple for breakfast with yoghurt, the cherries were one of my snacks today and I have had a few nuts (very high in points so have to be very careful with them.)  The box cost £2.99 and I thought it was well worth it.  I wouldn't buy those sort of things from the supermarket because they come in such big packs then you eat them all before you realise and blow your points for the day.  The portion sizes are just right without being to measly and it is always packed with healthy stuff  - the pineapple portion is one of the 5 a day for fruit and veg.  If anyone in the UK would like to try it I have a code for first box free and 2nd box half price.  Let me know if you want the code!

Last day off work

Last day off work today - went to see Return to Witch mountain at the cinema with DS.  He had popcorn & coke - I had a 750ml bottle of water   Problem was that I had already had alot of water during the morning so halfway through the film guess who had to run to the loo?  Luckily I didn't miss anything critical to the film!

Have decided to try the Wendie plan this week to see if it makes any difference after my tragic weigh in yesterday.  Today was 17 points (2 down on normal), tomorrow is my high day of 29 points - think I may struggle to eat them all but will try my best

Weather has been rubbish again today - raining most of the time - it's more like bloody November than April.  Bet the weather next week is beautiful as I will be back at work.  Glad we had no outdoor activities planned this week - though it has buggered up me going for walks - I don't like getting wet because it messes up my hair (yes I know I am vain!)  Tomorrow is supposed to be nice so will try to do some walking tomorrow - though I have all my other stuff to do - shopping, washing, collected ceramics we made earlier this week and collecting my cat's ashes from vets

Hope you all have a good week end and nice weather!
