Not the way to lose...
Well, it's been a ROUGH few days. The puking got so bad that I've swollen my stoma (opening between the two halves of my stomach) nearly shut and I've been unable to keep anything down...including water or ice chips. Finally, today seems to be a little better and I've actually gotten about 4 oz of Propel down and not thrown up all morning.
There are many reasons to fear throwing up like this. First one being it freaking hurts like hell. Second is I am not getting hydrated enough and I feel bad. No nutrition...just bad all around. (Don't want my hair to fall out! LOL) And the last and biggest concern is so much heaving will dislocate or make my band slip. That would suck really bad.
Talked to the doc yesterday finally...I'm stubborn about calling them. They told me if I wasn't better by Thursday we were removing fluid from my band - pointless waste of my adjustments that are paid for, so I'm praying to God I get through this hard period and can resume at least soups, broths and maybe pureed food again soon.
Anyway...been a long time since I saw a BMI this low or a weight in the 230's range so I'm going to take that as the ONE GOOD THING about puking so much and smile... I figure once I'm rehydrated I'll add a couple pounds back as well, but that is okay as long as I can get back to normal and lose properly. I'm hoping to feel well enough to go to the gym by Thursday because I'm meeting the really important trainer that night and I don't want to miss it. This lady is going to kick my a$$ into shape! Wooo hooo!!
