 Food:

Breakfast: Smoothie made with 1 banana, 2 tablespoons of protein powder, 250ml lite milk, sqeeze of honey

Lunch: Salad with 2 vegie sausages and a touch of balsamic vinaigrette, 2 plums, 2 wheatsworth biscuits with light philly.

Snack at 4:30pm: 1 boiled egg

Tea: 2 salmon and potato patties with peas and carrots

Glass of cordial


No exercise

New start

 I have been falling in love!

And the great thing is that I know he is the one. My mother always said I would know when I met him. I have. Its amazing. He is just wonderful. Beautiful. He is my best friend. I adore him.

So I have lost my appetite because I am in love! Which I think is slowing down my metabolism.

I need to get stuck into exercise. Eating enough to keep my metabolism going but not so much that it counteracts my hard work.

I am going to start writing down everything I eat to try and keep things balanced.

I am starting to run again and will start doing pilates and weights again to gain muscle.

I'm baaack

I am back and after reading "The real woman's personal trainer" by Sam Murphy, I feel so motivated. I now understand why I should exercise, besides wanting to be slim. I understand what happens to my body during exercise and afterwards. I am my body and my body is me. I need to take care of it and reap the benefits of regular exercise and a balanced diet. I just came back for my interval run and I feel amazing. I have been very agitated lately and moody is not even an adequate description. I need to exercise my lungs. I need to awaken my muscles. I need to stretch those muscles become balanced. I need to feed my body healthy, nurtritious foods and also live life and have fun. I am no longer someone who keeps failing at losing weight, I am now a healthy person who wants to feel great. I have had time off and now is better than tomorrow to start with these permanent changes. My scedule is easy to maintain and cheap. I am not sweating out for hours in a gym, I will be running outside, swimming, cycling outside, kickboxing, walking and climbing stairs at the beach. I want mental clarity and needs to focas on restoring my body to a strong, amazing, healthy body is once was.

My plans for this week:

  • Monday: 30 min outside interval run including hills and uneven ground. 15 minutes of weights
  • Tuesday: 15 laps at pool, 20 min walk on beach, 200 stair climb
  • Wednesday: 40 minute cycle,  15 mins weights.
  • Thursday: kickboxing or 20 lap swim
  • Friday: 30 min outside interval run including hills and uneven ground( morning) and pilates(evening).
  • Weekend: Hike, walk, run, cycle or swim. 1 day rest.
I will be eating a healthy, balanced diet of about 1000 calories a day. I will eat loads of fresh fruit and vegies, lentals, chickpeas, free range eggs and I will try and exclude excess refinded sugar products.

So I made myself weigh-in

I am now:

  • 64.8 kg
  • 25.6 Body Fat
  • 54.3 Hydration

So I have lost weight and fat. Slowly but surely...

My stats on 19-07-08, over a month ago, were:

  • 66.4 kg
  • 26.2 Body Fat
  • 53.8 Hydration

So yes. Very slowly its coming off. Better than not at all though or going up for that matter!

 

I will keep on keeping on and I will reach my goal oneday. Whether its 3 months away or 6 months, I will eventually get there if I keep up the good eating and staying active.

Feeling crap

I feel crap. I feel like I am not getting anywhere. I am going to decrease my eating to only 3 small healthy meals a day. No snacks. I am not going to count calories as I know they are going to be small, low cal meals and I cannot be bothered. I am just going to eat alot less for the next two weeks and see if that makes a change in my body. I need to feel hungry more often. Thats the only way my appitite and stomach will shrink. I am going to start running every 2nd day too for 40 mins and 40 mins  of pilates on the other days.

I should be alot further along with weight and size loss progress than I am.

I will weigh myself tomorrow morning and update my weight on here despite the fact it is going to be depressing. It will motivate me to try harder though.

GO AWAT FAT! Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Soooo

Long time no blog...

I have been really good for the last week. I have been eating quite well  and exercising most days. I am just starting to feel healthier after having the cold thats going around at the moment. I had a great weekend! Met up with some new friends. There is this guy that I really like... He is really lovely. But I don't know if he is interested in me. Time will tell... hehe. Its nice having a crush anyway, helps with cravings for some reason. I want to get slim so I can go surfing with him in summer without feeling like a whale! There is only 97 days left till summer, my date to reach my weight loss goal!

I will weigh myself at the end of this week after Aunt Flo has finished as I usually get quite alot of water retention leading up to it. I am going to buy some dandelion root to drink to help with it as its off putting when your trying to see the scales go down.

I have taken some new measurements too and It seems I am losing size already. Mainly around my bust though :( First the boobs go, then the butt, then thighs, then arms and muffin top last. Boo Hoo.

Today I ate well, can't remember everything but it was good. Went for an hours walk too which included hills and stairs.

I really don't even feel like posting my weight until its under 63 kg. I feel like this first 3 kgs I needs to lose is not even exciting. I am really angry at myself still for getting up so high and I feel in limbo and all horrible until I get down to a more acceptable weight. 63 kg used to be my weight limit, not a goal weight. So once I get there I will feel like the weight loss it really beginning.

Well I am trying to get to bed earlier. Tonight I hope to be in bed my ten. That  is todays goal.

I didn't have enough water today. Only about a litre. My goal for tomorrow is to drink 2 litres.

I can't wait till I look nicer. I really can't. I am just glad I have enough time before summer to make this all realisticly attainable.

Only 10kg to go and I will be really really happy.

5 Kg and I will feeling alot more comfortable.

Things are starting to pick up

Well I am feeling pretty happy! I had a sneek peek at my scales and my weight and BF% is going down! I have decided to weigh myself "officialy" once per fortnight to avoid feeling down. This gives my body time to do its thing without me trying to rush it and make it work like clock work. So next sunday will be a weigh in and I will hopefully be able to change my weight log!

I got Jillian Michaels 30 day shred The biggest loser power sculpt and belly dancing for great hips thighs and butts  DVDs in the mail from amazon today. As I have been for an hours brisk walk which was up hills and stairs for the majority of the way, I didn't do 30 DS as its cardio based, mainly leg work and my legs are tired at the moment. So I did the Power sculpt one. It was great!! A great 20 min all over toning workout. I will alternate walking for an hour with the power sculpt or pilates afterwards with just doing the 30 DS workout. This allows my body to recover a little bit and hopefully I will be toned and slim by 1st of December! I will also have the weekends off and might do some informal bush walking or something but otherwise I have no pressure to work out on weekends.

I am going well with food and am feeling like I am balancing things well. I am not craving any junk at the moment and am feeling much healthier.

Hopefully I can keep this all up and get some serious results!

Another bad food day

I went well for the first half of the day, went for a walk on soft sand at the beach for 35 minutes, then came late afternoon. Started eating chocolate and its went down hill from there! I had about 500 cal allowed for the rest of the day and ate too much.

I made a delicious spinach and ricotta canelloni and then tiramisu for tomorrows dessert and had to try it to make sure it was okay... So I am assuming after all the picking I went over my limit by about 200 cals.

So all up I had about 1500 cals I think. Not too bad. But still bad.

Ah well.

See how I go tomorrow!

Bad Food Day :(

Food eaten today was:

Breakfast: Leftover frittata about 200 cals

Snack: Handful of red rock deli roasted garlic chips which are so so so tasty and cooked in 100% olive oil! Yay! 215 cals

Lunch: Half a Mccain Apricot Chicken and rice microwave meal. Blah I really am off meat at the moment. about  200 cals and also a banana 80 cals

Afternoon snack: One Rivita with avo and promite 55 cals and more delicous garlic chips which is probably another 215 cals

Dinner was a blow out. I had thai, ice cream and chocolate so probably a total of 1000 cals for dinner

Thats is why I shouldn't eat bad food all day long( like chips) It throws out my blood sugar levels and I go on a binge.

So total today of at least 2000 cals probably more really. Bad Bad Bad.

I did no exercise either which is even worse.

I weighed myself today and noticed no weight loss at all. Nudda. Nothing. Zilch. I felt sad about this and worried I had been too restrictive with my calories and not eating enough for the exercise I was doing. So tried to eat more but that turned around on me and I ate too much of the wrong foods. Apparently I am meant to eat about 1400- 1700 cals with  the exercise I was doing to prevent going into starvation mode. But to be honest, I struggle to eat that much! I am sticking with my 1200 cal diet. It has worked before.

 

Tomorrow is a new day thank goodness and it will be a good day. I promise.

In fact I will now write my meal plan the night before am be accountable for eating what I set out and no more.

Plan for tomorrow:

Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled on toast: 250 cals

Snack: Apple: 65 cals

Lunch: Vegie Sausages with salad and 1/2 cup Jalna yogurt with berries: 260 cals

Snack: 10 almonds: 70 cals

Dinner: Grilled fish with vegies: 200 cals

After Dinner: scoop of ice cream 100 cals

Day at the Fair!

Well I went to Aussie World today, which is like a permanent Fair with ferris wheels ect.

I got a little sick after spinning around for hours on end so needs some fizzy to burp. hehe.

My eating was pretty crap today. But I am still close enough to my calorie goal to not feel too guilty.

Today I ate:

Breakfast was Special K advantage with Bonsoy milk: 140 cals

Lunch was Subway vegie delite salad with cheese and sweet onion sauce and two subway cookies (were meant for my son but I ate then as he didn't want them ): 490 cals

Afternoon snack that was totally bad, 50 grams of red rock deli honey soy chips and some fancy fizzy drink: 357 cals

Dinner is going to consist of a small piece of vegetarian frittata which I estimate to be about 300 cals maximum

So all up was 1287 cals which is good enough

Exercise was a 25 minute session of the couch to 5 km running program which was 60 seconds of running alternated with 90 seconds of brisk walking.

My calf muscles are so sore from the stairs yesterday! I love it 

I still have the cold so am trying to take it easy.

Well I was meant to go to bible study tonight but I am too late. Next weeK I shall go.
