Body For Life-day 38

This week has been going really well so far. I've been eating clean and getting my workouts in. Except yesterday I didn't do my cardio because it was raining and I was extremely tired. So this morning I woke up and got my 25m cardio in. Tonight when my hubby gets home we're going to the gym for more cardio and an upper body workout. I'm really trying to work hard this week so I can make up for last weeks blunders.

I have to take week 6 pics at the end of this week and I'm really dreading it because I know I haven't been sticking to the program 100% so hopefully I can see some results even if they're ever so slight!

Body For Life- Day 36

Today I'm starting fresh. Last week was pretty bad because of TOM and finals. I am going to kick butt for the remainding 7 weeks of this challenge though- I'm determined to start seeing some excellent results.

Here are my goals for this week:

1. Eat 100% clean

2. Hit 10's on all workouts

3. Post on extrapounds daily to monitor progress

4. Record calories on the daily plate

Body for life- day 24

I just got over the stomach flu. I feel so much better, thank god. I had no appetite for four days straight- just the smell of food made me nauseous! Yesterday was the first day I was able to eat my 6 meals. I worked out this morning, and it felt so great to be back in the gym! the treadmill is probably going to kick my butt tomorrow, but I'm ready for it!

At the end of this week, I will be taking my week 4 pics- I hope I'll be abkle to see a difference in my body!

Body for life- day 19

The program is going well this week, except for the fact that I had to work the night shift and turned to 100 calorie hersheys bars. I say bars, because I had two-yikes! Then I shared a packet of baked doritos. I guess I could have done a whole lot worse.

I made up for my blunder by eating clean yesterday. I even did 30 m on the elliptical in addition to my 20 high intensity treadmill workout. I really hit my level 10 by running at 6.8 for 30 seconds then 7.2 for the remainding 30 seconds.

This morning I did a high intensity upper body workout- I could hardly brush my hair afterward!

I'm really proud of myself, and I know I'm going to see great results (hopefully it's sooner rather than later!)

Body For Life-day 16

Wow, I haven't blogged for a really long time! I'm doing really well on the BFL program. I did hit a little glitch last week because Thanksgiving and my birthday managed to fall on the same week. I did eat a lot, but I didn't go tooo crazy. Anyway, yesterday I definately got back on track and enjoyed an hour long upper body workout with my hubby.

Today is going well so far. It's cardio day, so I plan to do a 20m intense workout on the treadmill. My hubby and I will take pictures again in two weeks, so I will post them here when we do. That means I have to really work my butt off so I can really see a difference from my week 0 photos

Body For Life-Day Two

Today is day two, and it's going well so far. I'm a little sore from yesterday's upper body workout, but I'm not as sore as I thought I'd be. Next time I think I need to work harder.

This morning I did 20m of intense cardio on the elliptical machine. I have to say I don't think I've ever pushed myself so hard on the elliptical before. I was sweating for at least 10m after I'd finished working out. I can see how this program can produce excellent results.

Last night we took our b4 pics, and I must say I felt terrible. I have so much back fat, and my stomach used to be flat. My body fat percentage is 31%...not good.

I have a lot of work to do, but I know I can do this. Here are my BFL goals:

1. drop from a size 14/16 to a 8/10

2. Lose 10% body fat

3. Lose back fat

4. Flatten stomach

5. Learn how to eat healthy on a long term basis

Body for Life Program- day one

I decided to take a break from Jenny Craig for a little while. My husband and I decided to start a 12 week challenge called Body  For LIfe. Today is day one, and it's going great so far. I have never been so excited to see results in my life.

I know I will do well  on with this challenge, especially because I have the support from my hubby. We're doing it together so we'll be eating the same things,.  We'll also be supporting each other , and motivating each other to keep going and stay strong.

This evening my hubby and I  are going to the gym to get weighed and get our body fat percentage taken (yikes!). We will also take our before pics (I'm not too excited about that!). So I will post my results later.

I really believe I'm going to do great on this challenge!

Ooh, did I mention that the grand prize for this challenge is $50, 000, and there are also 8 runner up prizes of $25,000. Of course I'd love to win the money, but if not we'll still be  winners because we'll be in excellent shape!

First loss in a month!

I went to my weigh in today thinking I was going to tell my consultant that I was going to quit Jenny Craig. I told myself if I didn't show a loss on the scale this week I would take a break from it for a while. To my great surprise I'm down 1.8lbs! And that's in four days since I changed my weigh in from Thursdays to Tuesdays.

Anyway, I feel motivated to go on now. I even signed up for a two week bootcamp starting on Mon 5th. I really want to lose at least 10lbs before my bday (now I only have 8.2lbs to go!)

Starting Fresh

Yesterday was day one (again). I got back from England two weeks ago, and now I have some closure with the death of my father I can finally move on and tackle this weight loss.

Day one went really well, I stuck to the program ( I even resisted the temptation to eat a snickers bar!) I even went to gym for the first time since a month ago. It feels really great to be finally back on track.

This time I know I'm mentally, emotionally, and physically ready to lose weight for good. I WILL  get to my goal, and I WILL maintain. I'm excited about the future.

I went to see my consultant last Thursday, and she took a new before pic of me, but I forgot to get measured so I'll have to do that on Thursday. I'm not going to look back, I'm looking forward. That's why this post is called "starting Fresh".

doing well

I didn't blog last week because I was feeling guilty. Aunt Flo came to visit and as a result I had so many cravings. I usually will treat myself to one thing, but last week I totally went crazy. I had chocolate, went out to dinner twice, and had ice cream from baskin robbins. I don't even think I had one full day of Jenny Craig food!

I somehow managed to lose 0.6lbs when I weighed in this morning. That was a total suprise to me, because I thought I was going to gain at least 2lbs.

Anyway, this week I'm on the 1200 calorie plan so that I can trick my body into losing at least 3lbs this week. It's my hubby's bday on Saturday so I'm going to allow myself to eat whatever I want on that dat, but the rest of the week is going to be great!
