STAIRS!!!

OK, so whoever thought of stairs as a workout was CRAZY!!!  It's such a tough workout, but can produce great results.  I did 28 floors today and I'm still standing!!   Talk about tough, but I still keep coming back!!  Call me crazy or what?!! LOL!!  In the end, I know my thighs and hips will thank me.

March Aerobics???

Has anyone ever heard of March Aerobics?  Well let me just say that I wasn't ready!!! LOL!!  OMG!!  I really don't think that I will be able to walk tomorrow!   It is centered around the moves of marching bands and boy it is high energy.  Let's just say that the teacher was literally bouncing off the walls!!  I should have know something when I read that he holds the Guinness World Record for 25 Aerobic HOURS!!! WTW??  He was pumped from the time the music started until we finished like the DANG Energizer Bunny!!  Anyway, I'll be back next week. LOL!!  Just call me crazy!!!

Day off...

I love having the day off, but being home brings on the MUNCHIES!!  UUGGGHHH!!  Headed to the gym to see if I can ward off the snack monster.  Have a great day EP!

Pretty Proud!!

One of my good friends is also trying to get healthy.  We decided to have a girl's night and go out for dinner and drinks.  Well, we all know how damaging this can be when you're trying to eat better.  So, we decided to get a dish and split it and therefore eat half of the calories and fat that we would normally eat.  I must say that honestly, I was pretty full eating just that serving so I know in the past that I've been overeating!!  Now, that explains today's title...I'm pretty proud of myself for enjoying a night out that wasn't ALL about food.

Down 1 lb.

Another pound gone!! WOOO HOOO!!!  I'm up to 28 floors on those stairs now!!  I'm doing 14 floors twice a day.   Very tough workout, but I can feel my legs toning as we speak.

Great week!

So, far it's been a great week!!  I've been exercising and eating pretty well.  I've been doing water aerobics, EA Active on the Wii Fit, and the stairs..UUUGGGHH!!  I must say the stairs are a tough workout.  Tuesday, I did 21 FLOORS!!!   My heart may have been beating out of my chest, but I made it!! LOL!!  Tomorrow is water aerobics so I'll give my joints a rest.  I hope everyone is having a great week.  Let's keep it moving!!

Down 1.5 lbs!!

YAY!!  I was so happy to see that the scale moved in my favor this week.  This was a pretty good week.  There were a few bumps, but that's life.  Overall, I did really well and I'm proud of my progress.

A Good Start

So far, my week is off to a good start.  I've gotten my exercise in everyday and I've been eating pretty good.  I still get the munchies at night, so I've gotta work on getting some healthier munch food this weekend.  I've started back with the stairs and I swear, if you're looking for an excellent workout where you don't have to spend a dime...find some stairs and climb them!!!  The first week, I was so sore I had trouble sitting down!!   This week is much better, but it is still a challenge.  I'm doing 14 floors right now and hope to increase that to twice a day in the near future.  For now, I'm enjoying challenging my body to do new things.
 
Well, I'm off to bed so that I'll be rested for tomorrow!!  Hang in there EP!
