Getting It Back Together
In my attempts to get back on the exercise wagon, I decided to start off slowly with old faithful....the stairs!!
For anyone who has never attempted to do stairs as a form of exercise, let me just say that it is not for the faint at heart!! I only started out with 7 flights, but after two days of that, I can barely sit down!!!!
I'm still in awe at how fast your heart rate increases just by climbing a few flights of stairs. Besides running, it is the ultimate calorie burner and great for your lower body and lower abs. My goal is to add two flights per week, so we'll see what happens. Wish me luck!

Long time...no see
Wow, I didn't realize that I'd been gone for two months!! I've definitely got to do better. I hope everyone else is doing fine.
I've really been slacking with a capital "S". I did start back with the exercise the week before last, only to get sick this week and not go.
I tell you, this deadly cycle is something awful. I'm not giving up though and plan on getting back in the gym next week. I'm going to make it a point to post here more often....so, HERE I GO AGAIN!!!

Guess I'll keep coming back!!
Hey guys! I guess I'll keep coming back until I get it right. Once again, I have too many irons in the fire and I've let "Me" fall by the wayside. So, it's back in the saddle AGAIN!! How many times will I say AGAIN??!!! Anyway, I just want to say thanks for all of you that check on me and keep me in order! 
I'll stop by later to check on you all!
Oh and thanks for the Birthday Wishes!! I had a great one!

I can't keep up...
Sorry guys, but I've been doing really bad at keeping up with this blog. I really have too many sites to keep up with!!
Anyway, I hope to do better with this one as it is one of the more important ones.
Well, I'm still maintaining that 8 lbs. weight loss, but I haven't lost anymore. I've been pretty consistent with my exercise, but eating is another story. I do well for a while and this I get sidetracked. Oh well, that's life and I'll just keep trying. Can't wait to go see what everyone else has been up to. Thansk to TatumsMom for checking up on me and getting me back on here!!
Once again, I'm saying that I will do better posting here. I'll be back soon!

Still Going
I must say I've been doing really well these past 6 wks. I've been consistent with the gym, my eating is better and I'm down 8 lbs.!! WOOOO HOOO!!
Now, if I can just keep up the momentum that would be wonderful. My biggest problem is getting past life's obstacles like illness, time management, weekends, etc. You know those stubborn days that you're too sick to work out and you never go back once you're well? Surely you have those times when one bad weekend meal turns into weeks of non-healthy eating??!! If I can just overcome that, I'll be fine!! Does anyone know the secret?? You see I know how to eat, what to eat, how much to exercise, etc...I just need work on those times when life gets in the way!
WOW, this started off so positive...didn't mean for it to take that turn at the end!!! LOL!! Well, I'm off to check on you guys. In case you're wondering where I've been, I really think that I have too many blogs and sites that I'm trying to manage. HAHAHAHA!! My goal is to post on each of them at least twice a week. Speaking of other sites, in case you're interested in crafts com check me out HERE!!

Another Good Week
I'm still trying to get to France!!!
I've ridden over 70 miles so far, which I'm very proud of! Today I did 21.60 miles in 60 minutes. Not too bad for an amateur right?!!
I made it to the gym 5 times this week!! I'm so proud of myself for getting back into my healthy routines. To be honest, I missed them. I love exercising and the way my body feels when I'm eating healthier. I'm just praying that this time I will not get sidetracked and even if I do, I will get back with the program sooner.
If you're like me, you're always looking for good low-fat food alternatives. If you're a burger lover, here is a great recipe that my sister gave me. Enjoy!!
Low-fat Blue Cheese Burgers
- Extra lean ground beef or ground turkey
- Low-fat blue cheese crumbles
- Smart Balance or Promise Butter
- Season the meat with no-salt seasoning (ex. Mrs. Dash)
- Form a ball
- Press one half into a patty
- Top with butter and blue cheese crumbles
- Press other half into a patty and place on top of bottom half
- Pinch sides so cheese does not spill out
- Cook in skillet on stove or grill
YUMMY!!!!

Good Week!!
I'm proud to say that this was a good week. Made it to the gym 5 times and I'm less sore. I can also feel myself slowly getting back into shape. With my foot injury, I'm going to have to be creative when working out. I can no longer do the treadmill or any type of exercises that would cause pounding on my foot. I can do the Elliptical, precor, and Cybex machines; however, my feet are still really sore when I do them. So, I decided to embark on a new journey and get fit along the way. I came up with the idea to do my own Tour de France!! LOL!! No, I'm not traveling to France to try to beat Lance's record!! LOL!! The bike is about the only thing that I don't have pain or soreness from after doing. So, I'm going to challenge my self to complete the number of Tour de France miles on the bike at the gym no matter how long it takes. Now, for some reason, I though this was only a few hundred miles. Well, come to find out it's actually 2,178!!!! WHEW!!
Well, after this at least I'll have toned legs right?!!! HAHAHAHA!!
Today I did 7.20 miles in 20 minutes so I can tell that I won't be making it to France any time soon!! I just love having self-challenges though. It seems to keep me working towards something. I'm also going to sucker my sister in to do this challenge with me.
So, I'll keep you guys posted on my progress this week. I'm still going to do the other machines, but not as frequent. I'll also continue my weight training so wish me luck!

Still At It
I'm proud to say that I'm still at it. My first week back was full of soreness!!
My 2nd week was better, but I didn't exercise as much as I should have. Tomorrow's a brand new week though and that means that I can get back to it.

I made it to the gym!!!
WOOOOO HOOOOO!! After 30 minutes, I was about to die from lack of oxygen,
but I made it!! LOL!!
I woke up this morning and decided it was TIME to get back with the program. My mouth is still achy, but that doesn't mean I can't do something! So, me and my sore mouth made it back to the gym today. All I did was the Precor for 30 minutes and it felt like I had been on there for 2 hours!! I guess that's what happens when you stay away TOO long!! After my Dr. visit this morning, I learned that I've gained 17 lbs in 6 months!! I'm not sure who was more shocked....me or my Dr. I think he tried to make me feel better by reminding me that I had thyroid disease which could cause my weight to fluctuate up or down. When I was leaving he said, "You might want to work on that weight because you're a young girl and you don't want bad knees when you get older." I guess that was his nice way of saying YOU NEED TO LOSE SOME WEIGHT!!! LOL!! It's really not funny and I felt like crying, but I needed to hear that. I just can't believe that I worked so hard just a few months ago only to gain it back in just a short time. 
Sorry for the rambling!! This was supposed to be a shor t post.
Oh well, no since in feeling sorry for myself so I guess it's time to get back to work!!

Long time no see...
Wow!! I didn't realize that it had been so long since I posted here. So, I finally got over my bronchitis only to start having trouble with my wisdom tooth!! A week of pain and I finally ended up in the Dentist chair having it removed. Of course it couldn't be that simple right??! I had some nerve trouble so the extraction was more complicated than normal. In a nutshell, it's already been a week and I'm still not healed yet!!! 
Exercise??? What's that??? I haven't done anything in weeks. My goal is to at least walk the next two days!! I still don't feel really well as my lip and jaw are still numb and achy. Doesn't have a thing to do with my feet though, so I could at least walk right??!!
Oh well, I hope all of you are still doing OK. I'm off to check on you guys!!
