Before After

Down 1.2 lbs. this week (total 18.2 since 2/22/08)

Hi, everyone, Thanks to that African Dance class (which was a LOT of fun!), the scale finally gave a nudge.  I lost 1.2 lbs., which is fine because that is my target goal/week in order to be at my goal weight by Spring, 2009.  So YEAH!  GO, ME!!!  Have a wonderful week, everyone! (More later...)

I'm Getting NERVOUS...Scale is showing...UP?!

Hi, everyone! Scale hasn't budged since Sunday; then - WTF!! It's showing an increase?  I realize this can happen, but I've been drinking at least 64 oz. of water  and have consumed at or below 1,400 calories per day since 2/22/08, so it had BETTER be hormones or something; since it can't be muscle! I have a friend who went from 209 to 140 on WW in one year, and she told me there'd be days like this (as have many of YOU)!  But still, it's annoying. I'll be taking an African Dance workshop this Sunday for an hour and a half, so that should help nudge it down a bit, but I think I have to start incorporating more consistent activity in order to keep my momentum going. (I don't want to get discouraged and start backsliding!)  Myennnnhhhhh!

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! (I hope to have good news on Monday!)

FINALLY back in ONEderLAND! (Below 200 lbs.)

SO...NOW I'm down 17 lbs. (5 weeks, averaging 3.4/lbs. per week so far) and I have lost 9.25 inches, including 3 inches off my waist! Another 5.0 lbs. and my bodyweight will be down 10%.  I'm starting to feel better already.  I've kept my daily intake to no more than 28 WW points (1,400 calories/day) and have maintained water intake of minimum 8, 8 oz. glass per day, averaging 10, 8 oz. glasses.  I haven't started working out yet but plan to soon, like tomorrow!

That's my report.  Have a GREAT week, everyone!

Down another 2.0 lbs. (Now total down is 14!)

Hi, everyone, I'm almost out of the 200's and hope to be 199 or less by Saturday, 02/29.  NEWS:  I purchased the Weight Watchers Electronic Food Scale at a WW center for $40 and it is awesome!  I've been using it all weekend.  You can even use it to measure mail for the post office, etc.!

If you want one, Don't pay the online prices and shipping; just stop in to a center and get yours for $40. Advertised as: "This scale is unique to the Weight Watchers program. Calculates weight in ounces and grams. This scale finds the Points values for foods that you weigh that are included in the database of the scale - now that is cool!!!! The database contains Points values for 450 foods. Calculates Points values for any food, when you input the number of calories, fat and fiber. Stores up to 10 of your favorite foods in memory. Can subtract the weight of a plate or bowl with the press of a button. Weighs foods up to 11 pounds. 9V battery included. Weighing your favorite foods and getting their Points values couldn't be easier!" I'd have to agree, so far.

Have a great week, everyone! (carole)

Ordered a new scale today...

Hi, Everyone!  Below scale is VERY highly rated online.  It's costing me $66.94 with shipping and I'm using some of my tax refund to get it.  From what I hear, it will be worth it.  It is supposed to be accurate to with .2 lb. increments.  I don't take much stock in its ability to accurately measure fat percentage & body water, but at least it's a step up from the one I have.

It's the Tanita BF680W Duo Scale Plus Body Fat Monitor with Athletic Mode and Body Water.

I'll let you know more about it after I receive it and try it out.  Still on plan; going to dinner with friends tonight, but I'll just order seafood and salad and NO bread, alcohol or dessert!  Cheers!

Another 3 pounds down! Now lost over 5% body weight!

Happy Weekend, Everyone!

I am very happy report that I am now down a total of 12 pounds since start date of 2/23/08!  YAYYYYY!!!  (GO, ME!!!)  Feeling GOOD!

Have a great weekend!

Lost 3.0 lbs. this past week!

Hi, Everyone! 2nd Weigh-In (after two weeks this Saturday, 3/08) and was down another 3.0 lbs.!  YAY!!  Average 28 pts/1,400 calories per day so far.  No desserts (except fruit & sugar free yogurt) and no alcohol.  I don't feel deprived at all (YET)! If I can keep this up through the end of this month, I'm sure it will become more of a "way of life" for me!  Have a GREAT week!

I like my prize! And here she IS:

WAY Cool!  THANKS!

FINISHED day 12! Still averaging 28 pts./1,400 cals.

Hi, everyone!  Still on track and starting to feel better. Scale looks stuck right now, but I won't get discouraged.  We'll see what it says on WI this Saturday (3/8).  Maybe beginning this Saturday I can start walking and maybe some light weights and yoga. I'm still coughing so I'll have to pace myself...

Have a good one!

I can smell SPRING today!

It was so mild in Boston this morning -- 58 degrees!  It smelled wonderful and the air was soft. I know we're in for a lot of rain, but I'm enjoying this!

Stayed on plan yesterday: 28 pts./1,400 calories. FINALLY did my taxes (yesterday afternoon). I use TurboTax online and it worked out very well.  (Glad that's over!)

Have a wonderful day, everyone!
