I had hoped to hit the 34 lb. mark, but my T.O.M. is due around the 5th; so a loss is good I guess, since usually I put on a few the week before.
I had an allergic reaction to the sulfa antibiotic my dermatologist had prescribed for me. There is currently a really annoying, angry rash over 30 percent of my body right now and the itching is really bad. My temp went up to 103.2 over the weekend and it was rough for awhile there. I think it's getting better little by little, now that I stopped the medication. I have a follow-up on Thursday, plus I have an emergency number to call in case it gets real bad. As Rosanne Rosannadanna (The Late, GREAT Gilda Radner) used to say, "Ya know? It's always something. If it's not one thing, it's another..."
I intend to check out some of my EP friends blogs so hopefully I can hear more about them and how THEY are doing. I hope no one "drops out", now that Summer's almost here!
So good to have a 3.0 lb. drop in one week! I am now in week 14 of my wellness journey. When I hit the 33.0 lb. mark (hopefully by June 2) I will have lost 15% of my initial body weight!
I did go to a Memorial Day cookout and went a bit overboard on the alcohol (21 oz wine, 2 beers), but my eating was under control, at least. (I also walked 2 miles at 4mph to my friends house from the center of her town.)
Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day weekend! (THAT sure went fast, didn't it!) The weather was AWESOME here in Boston! Perfect! I didn't get home 'til 1AM last night and got up at 6AM this morning so I'm still a little "spacey". I'll try to go to bed earlier tonight to make up for lost rest.
1.6 lbs. down this week (Total so far: 29.0 lbs.!)
Hi, Everyone, Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to the Memorial Day weekend ahead. I've been invited to a cookout on Memorial Day (UH-oh!); so MUST...WATCH...POINTS...!
Okay, I am now down TWENTY-NINEpounds from my official re-start date of February 25, 2008. That makes an average of about 2.4167 per week for 12 weeks. My set weekly goal is 1.2 lbs. per week average; so I'm WAY ahead of the game! Maybe I can even be under 170 (and finally OUT of obesity range) by my 50th birthday (August 18)! We'll see; I've started adding more regular workouts and walking more -- so maybe...?
Another 2 lbs. down (Now I'm REALLY in the 180's!)
Hi, Everyone, Hope you all had a nice Mother's Day weekend! I am down another two pounds, now weighing 187.6. I would say I'm finally "really" in the 180's and I feel good about that.
I DID IT!! I'm in the 180's (kinda!) - 25 LBS. down - WOO!
Hi, everyone,
Even though I had two "slipup" days last week, I'm happy to report that I lost 1.4 lbs. last week for a current total of 25.4 lbs. lost in 10 weeks! YAYYY!
SO NOW I WEIGH 189.6! (YEAH!)
NO slipups THIS week, I want to really be in the 180's by Mother's Day!
MAJOR LAPSE, but only temporary, I assure you! I consumed a WHOPPING 63.7 points yesterday (3,185 calories) all because I chose to visit "Margaritaville" - {oops}. It's okay though, because I'm going to make it up the rest of this week, without "starving" myself! If I keep my intake at about 20 points per day (1,000 daily calories) for the rest of this week, I should STILL show a loss by Monday, plus remain at my 1,450 calorie per day average for the week. I am now in "Damage Control Mode"! I am out to prove to myself and everyone who might be interested that we CAN "slip up" from time to time and still keep losing! This is especially tricky for me because it is 2 weeks before my TOM is due and I usually put on a few pounds around now. I also plan to work out for at least 30 minutes tonight through Sunday night, as further reinforcement. I'm telling you (AND me): This is absolute PROOF that I should completely stay away from "ALKY-hol"!!!
Right now I am snacking on some fresh, "0 points" veggies: red bell pepper, green beans, baby carrots, tomato and cucumber.
NOTE: Sure, this was a pretty serious lapse, but you know what? I'm NOT "perfect"; so I forgive myself and hereby give myself permission to start over. I CAN FIX IT! This goes out to everyone else, 'cause they can fix it, too!
There! It will be all right. Have a great day, everyone!
Although my loss was slower this week (1.0 lb.), I am ecstatic to report that I have finally achieved the 10 percent loss milestone! I am now down 22 pounds!
I'm feeling GOOD! Everyone is beginning to notice I'm losing, even ME! One more pound to go before I am at 10% original bodyweight lost! I was a liitle worried after the Economics Dinner at the Four Seasons, but I did some damage control and it all worked out. This PROVES you can indulge (on RARE occasions) but can get right back on track. Have a GREAT week, everyone!
Your comments are so very encouraging - Thank you!
Hi, I just wanted to post a note of appreciation to all my EP friends and their inspiring comments. It means a great deal to me and helps a LOT! Have a wonderful day! (carole)
