Am I ready for my freshest restart ever? YES, I AM!
Hi,
Beginning this week, I will start counting and recording evening weight on Fridays, rather than my Weight Watchers Meeting Weigh-in on Thursdays. I will enter this on my personal weight tracking chart and in this and my WW blog. This is because I am fully dressed at WW weigh ins (including jewelry), though I am not yet fully hydrated for the day. I believe an evening weight before dinner the following day (sans habille, of course) would be a more accurate assessment of true weight and closer to accurate bodyfat/water measurement on my home scale.
I am psyched for a whole new beginning. I believe my weight will be about 152 this Friday. I keep looking back on when my journey originally started, 2/29/2008, when I weighed 217 lbs. (recorded as 215)! So...despite all my slip-ups and do-overs (and don't we ALL have them?) I am STILL down 65 pounds!
This proves you can get as many do-overs as you want, as long as you never give up!
All the best to everyone. I will post again on Friday night or Saturday. Cheers!
Cheers!

Credit to Blogger Boston Runner (WW site) for below!
Hi, I plan to try this recipe tomorrow morning (if I can find my baking powder) and will post my review following:
Microwave Oatmeal Cookie
1/3 cup oatmeal
1 egg white
1 very ripe banana
dash of cinnamon
1/4 cup almond milk
pinch of baking powder
few chocolate chips for good measure (I will break up a Lindt 90% cocoa square)
Microwave for 3 minutes (or until egg white is cooked) and enjoy!
Thank you, "Boston Runner"; sounds wonderful! (I will figure out the WWP/Weight Watchers Plus points later.)
Have a great night, everyone!

WW weigh in on Thursday said 151!
Happy Weekend, Everyone! My official Weight Watchers weigh in for this week (with clothes and jewelry on) is 151.0 lbs., which is AWESOME, because I just came home from a day surgery and I have to take it easy over the next few days. I plan to set my WW goal at 144 for maintenance, but would like to keep going until I'm about 132. We shall see. So far, so good!
Will check in again next week to report my progress. Best wishes!

WW weigh-in on Thursday said 155.4, but I'm now 153!
Hello and happy weekend, everyone!
I weighed in at my WW meeting on Thursday, April 26. Their scale said 155.4 (with all my clothes and jewelry on). However, today (Friday) I weighed myself after 7PM (before showering) and my scale said 153! (My scale matches the WW scale when I weigh in on the AM of my meeting at home with my clothes and jewelry on.) I will continue to report the WW meeting weight on this site, but I'm feeling GOOD!
On Friday, May 4 I have a day surgery. I plan to be very careful with adequate nutrition and water before and after, plus I plan to be as active as possible before because I'm going to have to take it easier for a few days to a week following.
I had Zumba today at noon. I also have it tomorrow at 11AM, Tuesday at 6:30PM and Wednesday at 6PM; so I should have a good weigh-in next Thursday, provided I am careful. In addition, I will probably be walking a lot more if we have milder weather next week as is currently predicted.
Best wishes to all for a very nice weekend. I'll be checking in again next Friday (or before).
Cheers from Carole in Boston, xO

Yeah, She's changin' it up again! Restart FRI 4/27/12
I'm Baa-aack! (I never go away completely, and I never give up!) I hereby announce this Friday marks my fresh "do-over". (Remember, we get as many as we want?) So this Friday, April 27, 2012 is my newest restart, and I predict my weight to probably be about 156 on that date. Not too shabby, considering on 2/29/2008 I weighed 217 (recorded as 217). I will weigh in on Friday morning and enter a new post on that date. Then I will try to keep up at least once per week and stay current with my support group as well.
I am also back to posting to my 1 lb. per week support group. I've simply got to make an effort to be more consistent. Now that my health is improving, I believe I can do that. My next surgery is May 4, but it is day surgery and I'm not expecting any problems beyond short-term recovery.
The biggest change I plan to try to make (no, SUCEED at making), is to give up alcohol completely at least until my birthday on August 18 of this year. That will be 16 weeks - over three and a half months. I'd like to see how much difference that will make, since alcohol is basically empty sugar calories that do not help AT ALL. Instead I will switch to sparkling water with lemon or lime, like Perrier, San Pellegrino or Saratoga, etc. Let's see how that goes...!
Cheers to everyone and have a wonderful day! (carole in Boston, xO)

Hi, Everyone, My weight is about 155 right now, meaning I am 15 lbs. away from my goal of 140. I have made up a brand-new chart that begins this Sunday, April 15. I will try to post faithfully every Sunday from now on.
Cheers and have a great day! (carole in Boston, xO)

Weight Watchers still says 157 (1:15PM with clothes on)
Hi, everyone, my weight is still the same, but everything is "in limbo" until at least I week after my colonoscopy (Tuesday, March 20) anyway, since my diet is thrown off by the prep I have to do and I will undoubtedly be retaining a lot of fluid for several days following the procedure. I will check back on April 6 for my next report, but will try to log on to my pound a week board every Friday.
Cheers and have a GREAT weekend!

Still 157; We'll see what my weigh-in says this week!
Hi, I've been "off the wagon" a bit since recovering from my recent hospital stay; so I've been afraid to get on the scale. I'm working out again, though; so let's hope it balances out.
Next week I see the surgeon on Monday; colonoscopy on Tuesday. That's bound to throw off things temporarily because they make you drink all this stuff that's loaded with sodium. I'm hoping to report a "true" weight by April 1st.
Cheers, everyone!

Weight Watchers said 156.6; recording as 157
Hi, Everyone, Yes, I'm finally in the 150's! My all-time recorded high (Leap Year, 2008) was 215 lbs. Now we've had Leap Year, 2012 and I have officially lost a total of 58 lbs. I'm feeling pretty good about that. I've had a lot of health issues lately, so this is encouraging me and giving me hope that I will continue to improve, day by day.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! (Carole in Boston, xO)

Rejoined Weight Watchers: 1st week: Down 2 lbs.
Hi, everyone, I'm focusing on Weight Watchers now. Rejoined on Sunday, January 8 -- down two pounds after one week. I will be reporting weight as any increments rounded up to the next whole pound.
Right now I'm learning the new Points Plus system. I have purchased the Deluxe At-Home kit and will be attending meetings on Thursday afternoons (very close to my work). I am all fired up for this!
I will try to post every Sunday to report my progress.
Have a GREAT week, everyone!
