kettlebells?
went to the gym after work and had my boyfriend introduce me to kettlebell training. ive heard nothing but great things about this work out and its results… although i cant give you my personal opinion just yet as it is only day 1. however, i can tell you im feeling some of the effects already and probably will even more so tomorrow. after that i did some elliptical for about 30 minutes, i had such a headache at this point mainly because of work so i called it a day.

kept my word.
well i did what i said i was going to do in yesterdays post. i did make it to the gym this morning despite having very little sleep. we spent the night at a friends house, watched a movie, played 'scene it' all that fun stuff... in other words the boyfriend was too drunk to drive home, better safe than sorry, right? but we had discussed that we would wake up early enough to get to the gym prior to the weekend even beginning and we followed through with it. so, we woke up around 9ish, went home to see to the dog, got dressed appropriately and headed out.
we played raquet ball for about 50 minutes and then proceeded to the gym area where i was on this odd contraption which kinda worked sorta like an elliptical/stair stepper, i did this for 30 minutes and covered 3 miles and burned 300 calories... not bad, not bad.
going to meet some friends for dinner later this evening so cross fingers and hope i make good choices.

update
went on the elliptical again on thursday but skipped friday cos we had some other things to do after work. today i walked the dog about 3 miles and have intentions on going swimming later this evening.
tomorrow morning i hope to wake up pretty early and head to the gym for some raquet ball and whatever else i can muster up the energy for.

elliptical
today i went to the gym immediately after work and spent an hour on the elliptical, blasting my music. im actually really looking forward to it again tomorrow. i didnt know how much i’d enjoy the gym environment quite honestly and was a little hesitant about going. however, i kind of disrupted my boyfriends workout which he normally does after work (he gets off work before i do) and made him reschedule it til after i get off so then i felt obligated to go and im glad i did. i was slightly uncomfortable and a bit self concious to begin with but then i zoned out and came to the conclusion that everyone there is there for the same purpose so why not have at it.

walking
so today i walked my dog about 3.5 miles for exercise purposes, which benefits both her and myself. i recently moved to the area im currently living at and was looking for a new running route. since im not familiar with the area i thought it made sense to go check it out during day light hours with a companion rather than just puttin my shoes on and running endlessly trying to find my way home. i had fun though and feel better knowing i did something instead of spending the day on my butt in front of the tv.

disappointed.
so surprise surprise the bloody gym still isn't open. its such a tease to see it all set up but cant get any use out of it plus i have my new shoes still sitting there just waiting for me to tear into them and wear em in a bit but no.its becoming really irritating. i naturally have quite a short temper anyways but this isnt helping at all.
good news is i ate relatively well today i think. somethings definately could have been eliminated without a doubt but its still a work in progress.
