Hungry and Sore... but not discouraged!
I have to admit it... I am just plain HUNGRY! I have been eating very well, haven't had any cheats, and I think I may be due for at least a small one. I realized yesterday that I haven't even had a diet coke in over a week, and that is a MAJOR feat for me. It's been all water, cran-water or protein shakes to drink. I am working very hard toward my goals.... evidenced by the fact that I'm so ridiculously sore right now that I can barely move. At least it's better today than it was yesterday. I am determined that this time I will get myself into shape and accomplish my goals.
My half marathon training plan starts today. I'm very excited about it. I think it's supposed to be abs tonight and then run tomorrow night, but I haven't looked at my workout calendar. I was supposed to do a 6 mile long run yesterday, but I was too sore to walk. Running was pretty much out of the question. UGH! First day of my training and I am already going to have to re-work my schedule.
My husband was playing around with the video camera one day last week, watching the tape that was in there by looking through the eyepiece, no sound or anything.... and he found where the kids were taping when I had just finished working out one night, probably a year and a half to two years ago. He paused the camera, and showed it to me. I was appaled. I couldn't believe the way I looked. Isn't it funny how we don't see ourselves the way we really are sometimes. I was totally disgusted that I had let myself get to that point. I told him that I want to get that image printed out somehow and keep it for motivation.
Well, time to do some work.
