Camping in the Cold
Last weekend I took the 5 boys and went camping. It was a bit cold and we woke up to below freezing temps. We had a lot of fun. I had trouble staying on the diet a few days last week, but I am back on strong now. I lost 2.4 lbs.

Last week was rough. I stayed OP but my food choices that I made some days weren't as good as they could have been. Good news is that I lost 3.2lbs at weigh in last night.
I exercised twice last week but it was pathetic. I rode our new exercise bike for 20 mins one day and then a few days later I rode for 10 mins. This week I need to start exercising for at least 3 days a week for 20-30 mins each time. Not sure how that is going to go.
I am encouraged after a successful Week 1. Yesterday evening was weigh in and I have lost 8.0 lbs. The WW program has helped me stay on task. I was focused on eating within the points, eating less fatty and starchy foods, taking vitamins, eating more fruits and veggies, and drinking lots of water.
My wife and I started Weight Watchers together, We went to our first meeting on Monday, March 26, 2007. I wieghed in at 421.6lbs. My 10% goal is 379.6.
We started Tuesday morning with the program. And so today is Day 2 On Program (OP). Day 1 went rather well. I actually had a hard time using all my points. I get 44 and I was only able to eat 42.
Today I started out having Special K with 1% milk, a cup of grapes, and a small apple. I had a small orange as a snack an our ago. I am actually enjoying the fruits and veggies.
I am at a point in my life at 34 yrs old, married for 13 years, 7 children, working full time, going to school full time, trying to be active in the kids activities, and going to church - i am at a point that it was all getting too hard to keep up. I am tired all the time and out of breath. I want to LIVE and be active and enjoy life with my family.
I am commited! I know the road will be long. It will probably take at least 2 years to lose over 200 lbs. So I guess this blog will get long. I can't wait to start feeling in the tiniest bit better than I do now.
