Before After

Blog Post...TAKE TWO...Abbreviated version!

Just a few minutes ago, I was finishing up a post detailing the past 36 hours or so since I last posted, and since my laptop battery has long ago died, I accidentally knocked my A/C cord out of it's socket on the back of my laptop, and lost all that I had written!  Can't blame EP...just clumsy me!  So I plan for this to be a condensed version of what I had written...will see how that works out!

Although I did well through the first half of yesterday with eating on plan, work stress got the best of me, and where I still had almost half of my calories left as I went into my afternoon snack, the "munch monster" got the best of me, and by dinner time, I had pretty much wiped out my calorie allotment for the day! About 3 of us wound up working until 8pm last night, and one coworker's husband was grilling a hamburger for her...she asked if we wanted one....why not?  I'd already trashed being on plan...might as well do it right!  I KNOW that is not the right attitude to have...so no one needs to inform me of that!  The difference now is that I've come far enough in this journey to know exactly what I needed to do, and that was to get right back on plan today!

I did have an on plan day today!  Like Tuesday, though, I had to talk myself into making it to Shelby Farms, but once I got there and finished my workout, I was so glad I did!  We went from beautiful spring-like weather yesterday with temps in the mid to upper 70's, back to a cold, breezy day today! It was 41 when I got to Shelby Farms.  When I saw my Garmin charger in the bottom of my gym bag, I assumed my Garmin was also in the bag.  When I went rummaging for the Garmin before heading to Shelby Farms...no Garmin...I panicked...wondering where it could have gotten separated...but of course, I get home tonight and find it right where I left it on my bedside table!  So being Garmin-less, I just tried to put together my jog/walk intervals by jogging to a certain point...a bench..the pier.  I know I reached no new goal of jogging further before walking, but I am noticing that my legs seem to be stronger when going from walking to jogging in my jog/walk intervals.  Where my legs used to feel like jello when I first started to jog from walking in my intervals, transitioning from walking to jogging seems to be coming a little more fluidly and easily now, and that's enough to keep me wanting to do more!  After I had just begun my second round of Patriot Lake, I saw Tatumsmom as she drove in for her workout.

TGIF tomorrow!  It's been a LONG week even though it's only been a 4 day week!  Should have an on plan eating day tomorrow as I've already planned out and know what I'm going to eat.  Saturday will be 10 miles as I build my miles for my half marathon, so I will be a really happy camper when I can get those miles behind me!

I hope everyone has a great Friday, and start to the weekend!

10 Miles!

I am so jealous!  I just barely made it through my 4 miles yesterday.  I wish I were already at that 10 mile level like you.  keep up the great work!

Oh my!

Wow!  10 miles.  Good luck, girl!  I saw the weather looks icky tomorrow!

I thought I was going to catch you last night.  I saw you getting into your car pretty much as soon as the parking lot came into view for me.  I tried to sprint, but just couldn't do it.  Then I saw you pull off. But, hey, I had a really good pace!  LOL!

I can't wait to hear about your 10 miles.  That's just amazing!

Glad you got right back on plan.  No matter what we "know", those feelings sometimes overtake us!

Good for you!

Sometimes I use a missing hat, hrm, water bottle as an excuse to blow off a workout!  Great job getting outside.  Can't wait for warmer weather here!
