Laying Low

So I've been laying low for awhile... haven't lost anything, actually gained.  But I am OK with it.  Had some issues with not being able to eat or drink anything at all and had to have some fluid taken out of my band.  Now I have no restriction and am able to eat anything I want.  But I go back tomorrow for a fill and that will get me back on track.  I am worthless on my own... completely worthless!

No you're not!

Don't say that -- it's not true.  I have no problem with using the band if it helps you, but you CAN do this.  I think you have to believe in yourself and know that you CAN achieve your goal -- picture it in your head, know that it WILL happen.

And when you are tempted to eat things you know you shouldn't, or to skip a workout, or whatever, borrow a rule from Lisa Delaney's book, "Secrets of a Former Fat Girl" -- it's the rule I use all the time.  INO - It's Not an Option.  If I'm tempted, which is rare these days, I remind myself it's just NOT an option.  No choice in the matter, I'm not doing it.  I'm not eating that, I'm not skipping my workout, whatever it is the negative voice in my head (she calls it your inner whiner) is trying to tempt me with, I just say NO.  You really can do that, no matter how tempting it seems at the time.  I've got faith in you! :)
