long time no say.
Haven't updated in ages. Been bad I know. Have had a few things happened. Rearranged my classroom. That was funny because a kid wandered in the next day during lunch.
"you rearranged the room."
"Clay, you're in my 6th hour class you helped me move desks!"
"Oh yeah!"
Other events. I'm now an acceptable baby sitter for my nephew. Yeah and boo! Yeah because he's a lot of fun and boo because part of the reason it happened is my sister in law was diagnosed with colon cancer.
Finally broke my plateau. Been stuck between 150 and 152 since thanksgiving.
Have decided to try a half marathon. It's not until September though. Decided to do a local one first. Especially since money is kind of tight right now. If I like that one I'll do an out of town one next.
Promise not to wait so long this time.

kids say
Well haven't lost any more weight lately but I've been staying in the same range which is good given everything I've had going on.
Not to mention I'm in a high stress job and we just had to get the kids through finals.
I hate finals. 1st hour I had my final going on, Geometery finals going on and Pre Algebra finals. I also had to help kids with 2nd year algebra. I really only had one period where I had only one test going on.
On the subject of the kids there are times when my job is fun.
Like when the behavior disordered kid told the class he was five the first time he got laid and another boy told him "Your teddy bear doesn't count."
Or when I told the kid who'd sharpened his pencil 4 times in 15 minutes to sit down. He told me "but it's not sharp." A student's response was "neither are you so what's your point?"
Or the kid who spent 45 minutes working on problem on the second year Algebra final and we got it to the point of -9=18. "Does -9=18?" "Uh." "I'm talking reality not in the problem." "No." "Then . . ." "There's no solution!" "Correct!" "I swear to G-d, (teacher's name) writes these tests." (Like the guy does it on purpose to torment them.)
Then yesterday there was a conversation about selling plasma going on in my study hall and my Asperger's syndrome student said "Why would someone want to sell their tv?"
Oh yeah and when the kid called another kid retarded and another student said, "hey dummy we're in a special ed. class we're all retarded!" (Not that calling someone retarded is appropriate but it's nice to hear another kid shoot one of these kids down while defending another student.)
There are time I like my job and times I hate my job. If I couldn't see the humor in it, I'd probably always hate my job.

A Guillotine
I want a guillotine. Then I want to line some students up and cut of their heads. The kids are driving me nuts. I have 2 that want to go to college and one has a mom who thinks we should be providing one on one instruction (not when he's a senior. If he can take college level courses as a senior he needs to get by on modifications only.) The other can't tie her shoes without supervision. Ugh! Off in a bit to get DD (so glad when this stinking play is done.) and then to a friends for dinner. Shrimp with linguine. (Gonna be a bitch to point though. Oh well need the stress relieve.)

A night off
No play practice tonight! Yeah. I'm glad she's involved in activities but I'll be so happy when this play is done. We're going to eat out because we haven't had time to clean the kitchen lately but we'll have time for panera or moe's before sylvan rather than Mcdonald's in the car. Yeah

Wednesday
Early out day today. My dd and I went to Subway for lunch and then I went to my meetings. The food at the meeting was peanuts and candy corn. I love candy corn but it was all gone by the time I got there so that was good. Need to work on this current caffiene addiction I have going. Going to be buying more bottled water till I beat that but it's cheaper than pop so what the heck.
Got an IEP Friday that I need to prep for. Also gotta prep for the sub since the meeting is during school.
Unfortunately it's one of those meeting you'd rather not have. Just b/c the kid is driving me nuts this year. I have more and more of those meetings this year. Between the couple of bd kids and the reeval kids. Cutter John is the kid that is driving me nuts at the moment because they've got this if I can't get it in the first 30 seconds it's presented I can't get it all so I'm not gonna bother trying.
Ugh!
Off to see who wins project runway. I'm actually hoping for either Jeffery or Michael (liked their collections the best.)

Oh really bad
Well, I haven't been on this in ages. Little over two months if you want a definition of ages.
I also haven't been 100% OP in ages. I've been mostly maintaining. Lost a little bit of weight but up and down.
Well that stops now.
From this point on I will
Journal everything I eat
Get all my H20 from just H2O
Weight myself once a day in the am (I know it's against WW policy but it works for me!)
Journal here at least once a week.
Make the best picks I can even when I'm eating out. (Which has been happening alot because of my daughter's involvement in the school play.)
I will not be terrified of dropping to 20 points a day.

I will be at goal by Thanksgiving!!!

My bad
Been a while since I've updated. Sorry about that. Had a lot going on. Our foster puppy went to his new home and school started. On the school starting front good news. The new principal appears to be a hard ass (compared to what we have had.) the admin seems to be serious about giving us more control, and mushu has been moved to regular math!
On the puppy front not so good news. He's got a major ear infection (I had his ears cleaned before he left.) and his new mom thinks he's got a seizure disorder and something wrong with his legs. I think she's nuts or it's a reaction to his medication. But I have emails in to the team leader from IA.
I think I'm done fostering animals. I can't take it, to much stress!

Back on Track
Lost 2 pounds this week. Feel like I have too much to do and too little time. It really kind of sucks to be a teacher in July and August.
Why you ask? Because the new deductions go into effect July 1 but raises don't go into effect until September 1. Yuck!
As of tomorrow I'll have made it through the entire camp season without eating pizza on Fridays!
Next goal start cooking lunch for myself rather than lean cuisines and smart ones all the time.

Oops
I'm off plan. I've really not been on plan since the Colorado trip but tonight I found myself slipping into mindless eating at a party. As in I can't journal what all I ate b/c I'm not entirely sure. So I'm sure my weigh in tomorrow will suck but I think I finally got the smack on the head I need and am going to get back on plan. Even if I never loose anymore weight I'll be damned if I'm going to put it back on.

Things they should build in Council Bluffs
1. A Super Target. If I had one of these I'd never go in Wal-mart!
2. A Trader Joes
3. A chick fil-a
4. A whole foods
5. a lowe's home improvement
6. a kohl's
7. a petco or a petsmart.
I'd settle for #1-4 east of 84 Street in Omaha. I hate having to drive to north Omaha, Papillion or West Omaha to get to super target and I'll take what I can get for the other 3.
And for those of you that are wondering why I live in Iowa.
I'm 5 minutes from work, gas is 10 cents a gallon cheaper, and my property taxes are half what they'd be for a comparable neighborhood in Omaha.
