Ok, so I haven't logged on here, or really been very strict on the diet here lately. I guess during the holidays, I slacked off, and just sort of let things guy. I still have done my protein shakes, but I've also cheated a lot. I've not gained a lot of weight, I don't think, but I haven't done well losing much more. I'm not sure where I am at right now, but I am going to start keeping track. I know that on Sunday, the last time I weighed, I was at 253.5. I I am going to mark that down as my weight for now. I will weigh again on Sunday.

Reason for that is that I gave up weighing myself for Lent. I had become obsessed with it. I was doing it several times aday and it was what I thought about all the time. Not a good thing.

I certainly don't want to be weird about it, so I'm going to weigh myself every Sunday and mark the weight here.

I think one of the real secrets of sustained weight loss is being able put setbacks behind you. Get right back on where you fell off. I do a daily weight-in after I get up each day, its a bit of a ritual. I know my weight bounces around day to day mostly depending on if I'm drinking enough water or not. But I track the average over the last 5 days with a spreadsheet and as long as that is going down I'm happy. Weekly weigh-ins kinda do the same thing, I'm just too impatient to wait a whole week.

So Good Luck - You've come a long way and the last bit seems to be the hardest. Take a look as the graph on my blog - I think you'll see the similarity.
