My Weight loss journey in 2008 http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/audrasweightloss Thanks for visiting my blog! en All rights reserved Weight loss extrapounds v2 http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss 1440 http://www.extrapounds.com/images/avatars/users/audrasweightloss.gif Avatar http://www.extrapounds.com/ 100 100 Thanks for visiting my blog! end of 2nd week http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/audrasweightloss/comments/335036/end-of-2nd-week <p>Okay, so at the end of my 2nd week on I decided to stick to a low carb diet rather than a low calorie diet.&nbsp; I have much more success managing my carbs rather than managing calories.&nbsp; Which I saw fast results in 2 days on the Atkins diet.&nbsp; I lost 2lbs and got down to 173.&nbsp;</p> <p>Im still only taking&nbsp;1/2 the pill (37.5mg) also.&nbsp; I stopped the Prozac I dont think that I need that since Im doing 1/2 the pill.&nbsp;</p> <p>Going into my 3rd week starting&nbsp;yesterday &nbsp;I took a full pill.&nbsp; I think it helped.&nbsp;</p> <p>My doctor also suggested that I do more weight training rather than cardio.&nbsp; So I had my body builder son design me a work out for all of my muscle groups.&nbsp; Im working on that.&nbsp; But I do disagree with the doctor.&nbsp; I want to continue doing my cardio with the weight training for now.&nbsp; At least until I can get the bulk of my weight down.&nbsp; Then I can do a more weight training schedule and less cardio.&nbsp; I did scale my cardio down from 60minutes to 30 min workout.&nbsp; And increased my weight training from 15 minutes to 1 hour.&nbsp; Its tough!&nbsp;</p> <p>On Cheating!!! Well I did do some of that this weekend.&nbsp; I ate rice on Friday and again on Saturday nite.&nbsp; I had some tortilla chips and that of course added to my carb intake.&nbsp; Oh and I had an icecream that had sugar and about 100 calories....dont remember the carb count.&nbsp; Sunday we went to eat at Chilis and I had some fries and half of a burger.&nbsp; I think overall I cheated 3 days in a row with carbs and gained&nbsp;1 lbs from the cheating and 1 lb from PMS'in.&nbsp; Im started to bloat now for my cycle coming here at the end of the week.</p> <p>Time&nbsp;to get refocused this week!</p> <a href="http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/audrasweightloss/comments/335036/end-of-2nd-week">Comments(1)</a> 335036 Wednesday, December 5, 2007 22:03:18 End of 1st week! http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/audrasweightloss/comments/332987/end-of-1st-week <p>Hello everyone,</p> <p>I just completed my first week on my body make over.&nbsp; And what success!&nbsp; My clothes are fitting more comfortably, I lost 5 lbs and already feel lighter! I have about 50lbs to go now!&nbsp;</p> <p>This week I took my meds, worked out, stayed on my lowcarb diet, drank lots of water and stayed glued to&nbsp;the phen forum for support.</p> <p>Here's what my work outs looked like:</p> <p>Cardio on my treadmill for about 45mins, 10-15 minutes of&nbsp;workout with&nbsp;weights, squats, lunges,&nbsp;pushups and sit-ups.&nbsp; And already can see muscles being sculpted.&nbsp; It is so cool.</p> <p>MY BIGGEST TEMPTATION: Yesterday we had company come in on my last day of the week.&nbsp; :( They&nbsp;brought&nbsp;us a big box of Cuban sweets (pastries).....&nbsp;and then we went out to eat at our favorite Greek restaurant!&nbsp; Yes and I ate a few of those pieces of sweet bread and had rice and bread with my salad and meal....:(&nbsp; I was really dreading the scale this morning.....but am happy to say the scaled stayed the same at 175!</p> <p>Looking forward to&nbsp;my 2nd week!&nbsp; Wish me luck!</p> <a href="http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/audrasweightloss/comments/332987/end-of-1st-week">Comments(0)</a> 332987 Wednesday, December 5, 2007 23:05:09 Day 1 http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/audrasweightloss/comments/331317/day-1 <p>Hello everyone :)&nbsp; My name is Audra and I am new to this site.&nbsp; Today is my first day to join this site and start my body makeover.&nbsp; I have gained too much weight here in the past 3 years.&nbsp; I have 2 grown kids and now a toddler.&nbsp; I remarried 3 years ago and have this new life, new family, new home, new job etc....so as you can see with all the changes and stress I put on weight.&nbsp; I have gained 20 lbs in 4 years.&nbsp; Years ago, back in 2004 I got down to a size 7/8 doing the Atkins diet and excercise.&nbsp;I had not seen that dress size in over 10 years then.&nbsp; &nbsp;This time I plan to do the same again now that things are stable and I have my summer off (Im a school teacher).&nbsp; Wish me luck and please give me feedback!&nbsp; Thanks!<br /> <br /> Today I began my day with great excitement at 5:30 am. <br /> -5:30am - weighed in at 180lbs :(<br /> -Took my meds,<br /> -worked out for 67 minutes on my treadmil.<br /> -7:30 a.m.worked out with weights for about 15 minutes and 2 sets of 30 abs on the bench<br /> -drank water -2 bottles<br /> -drank my protein whey shake with 1 banana<br /> -went out with my toddler to feed the animals and do some gardening for about 1 hour<br /> -came in drank my chinese herbal dieters tea (that was steeping since about 6am)<br /> -10:30 am made eggs and bacon for me and my grown son (ate 1 egg - 1 strip of bacon)<br /> -took my multi-vitamin<br /> -1:10 NOT HUNGRY but am eating a protein EAS low car bar 1/2<br /> <br /> So far so good.......I've had 4 bottles of water and am eliminating as well now that the tea is kicking in.<br /> <br /> Be back later!</p> <a href="http://www.extrapounds.com/blog/audrasweightloss/comments/331317/day-1">Comments(0)</a> 331317 Thursday, December 6, 2007 00:08:14
