happy tuesday!

so i woke up at 5:00 am!

this is big for me! when we were living in alabama with adam's parents i was always getting up at 5 because i had to leave at 6 to get to work at 7 - because my school was about an hour away! once we moved to georgia - i hardly make it to school before 7:30! haha... funny how that works huh!

i normally set my alarms for 5:00 - 5:15 - 5:30 - 6:00 (i am NOT a morning person!) well i went to bed around 11:00 - and only turned on my 5:30 and 6:00 alarms and said if i wake up any earlier - i WILL get up!  well i read until 11:30 (reading 'Such a Pretty Fat' and it is hilarious!) and tossed and turned until midnight... i woke up once in the middle of the night to have to potty - and then next thing i knew - i'm awake and it is 5:06... so i get up! what a novel idea! i actually have time to make myself some oatmeal (although i didn't wash ANY dishes this weekend... so i quickly hand wash what i need... and then start the dish washer) and make myself some hungry girl oatmeal!! it feels so good to not feel so rushed... i like to wake up early - so that i have time to slowly wake up... eat breakfast - watch the news - get on EP

okay so yesterday was a good day! i went scrapbooking and had a great time... i hate to admit it to ya'll but the last page that i did in my scrapbook was sept. 11, 2001!!! yeah - so i'm really behind. i'm bound and determined to get my college days done though! and then i'll move on to now - get  one going with me and DH and one for my doggie! i did 3 pages yesterday... they aren't done - because i have to do the journaling.... i wanted to do them on my computer and print them so they look a little neater...

afterwards - i'm came home - woke up DH so he could get ready for work - and then left for the gym.  move it monday was AWESOME! the classes have a lot of good songs coming - so i'm looking forward to the new releases. i burned about 800 - 900 calories (i don't remember exactly and my watch isn't near me!)

dinner was very good - i had 1 point taco soup and a ham roll-up - then for dessert - some strawberries dipped in sugar free carmel. it was yummy! i was satisfied when i went to bed. i woke up this morning a bit hungry! my oatmeal was very satisfying.

okay i need to go and iron my pants... OH! we had snow again yesterday! nothing stuck - but i walked out of the gym to snow flurries! it was pretty! (sometimes i miss snow!) okay this has gone long enough... i hope everyone has a great day!

we will be watching the inauguration in the class all day! i don't know how much my kindergarteners will get out of it - but it's something that they should see

no school!

no school today - i got to sleep in again... i LOVE having off on mondays - it usually helps the week to go by faster.

i'm going scrapbooking today! i haven't worked on my scrapbook in SO LONG!

then i have to come back and make sure DH gets up for work... and then head to the gym.  it is "Move it Monday!" they are previewing new songs for all the Les Mills programs that they have (BodyAttack, BodyPump, BodyStep, BodyCombat, BodyFlow, and RPM) and i get 15 points towards my get fit challenge.... i would go anyways - but those points also help! :)

oh now it's time for my little rant - feel free to stop reading here .... yesterday a girl (18-20 years old) came by our house around 3:00 and knocked on the door... rocky went crazy (like he always does when someone knocks on the door) anyways she gives me this shpeal (sp?) about how she's in a contest with other students who are going to be going to Georgia Highlands next fall in communications - and she has to go out and meet people in her neighborhood.... blah blah blah - and she get's points...i hear DH come out of the bedroom (and he sleeps in his underwear - i tell him to stay there.... he heard the knock - so he was dressed) and she gets extra points for talking to a police officer.... blah blah blah - if she gets 2,000 points she get's $2,000 to put towards tuition and books and she already has 1,700 - but she has to sell us magazines or we can have them sent overseas to military... we explain that money is tight right now... were sorry.

well i search the company online and basically she isn't doing anything illegal - she's just being deceitful with her story.... the couple across the street track her down to get their money back - she claimed she didn't have it - her coordinator drove by and picked it up... and she was on her way to the hospital.  she went into a convienience store and came back out with $90 of her $95 and claimed it was her own money... WHAT! they only bought 2 magazines.... $95!!! thats just crazy.... They then went to check on the older couple that live right next door to them to see if they gave her anything. 

We had people come around and do this when i was in college.... and i had friends that credit cards were charged more - and those that didn't receive their magazines... ugh! she just made me so angry! i don't take well to being lied to!

sunday (which is NOT the last day of my weekend!)

WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED TO ME YESTERDAY!

ugh - i started off really good.... and then DH and i were talking about food for dinners and groceries.... like i said before money is really tight this month - as of right now we have enough for 4 dinners (1 is a steak night - which i didn't want the red meat this week!) so it all blew up! i stormed off - he stormed off... then eventually he comes back and is like nothing ever happened... nothing else is said... i HATE how he does that... because nothing ever gets resolved.

so anyways - we have dinner (chicken and green beans) and then he leaves for work...

i eat some sweet tarts
i eat some popcorn
i eat some sweet tarts
i eat some baked tostios with salsa
i eat some sweet tarts

so the worst thing i ate was the sweet tarts... but still the healthier snacks were too much also! i was eating because i was angry... and that upsets me.

so i have started today off good again... when DH got home from work at 7:20 this morning we went to kroger and went grocery shopping... i have some healthy stuff for myself for the next 2 weeks... and we worked really hard to stay under $100 and we did!

i made taco soup for lunch and for during the week... it makes 15 (cups) servings and each serving is 1 point! YAY!

we are having steak for dinner.... i'm going to put my serving on top of a salad.

okay well i hope everyone has a great sunday - no school tomorrow!!

fitness test!

so this morning was the fitness test for the 6 week get fit challenge... all my numbers have gone up since the last time (back in august) which i expected because i didn't do what i needed to do since we moved here.... but it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

so the VO2max test... we did the beep test - and boy was it tough! i ran 34 shuttles which if i had the correct level - that puts me in the below avg. range... YUCK! my goal for the retest in 6 weeks it to run at least 51 shuttles.
 
i did 3 push ups (on toes) in one minute. i can't believe that i pushed out that many!
 
i did 29 sit ups in one minute. not too bad i guess
 
and flexablity - i reached 1 1/2 - THAT needs to improve... i need to do yoga again! i wish they had yoga at more times than they do at the gym.
 
WI - i'm up this week... but i expected that... i didn't eat all that well and only made it to the gym 2 days... so i'll take it.
 
i'm looking forward to my 3 day weekend! i just need to do the right thing and stay on track... weekends are the hardest. i need to hit the grocery store today... although i do not want to go out in this cold weather!!
 
okay i need to catch up on blogs... it's been a couple days since i've read!

crazy

things have just been crazy here!

well i broke my phone last night....kinda - basically it's just my microphone... see my screen isn't damaged... i can send and receive text messages... i can make and receive calls... i can hear you talk to me on the other line... but YOU can't hear me! DH got a kick out of that... because we were communicating with text and then he asked "can you hear me when I talk?" and i said yes... so he would call and talk to me... then hang up and wait for me to respond by text! he thought it was hillarious!!

thank God for spare phones! (cause of course my phone is only 5 months old!)

okay so - yesterday i was at the gym for both BodyAttack and BodyPump... 1,111 calories burned! YEAH! that rocked!! i talked to the instructor because i've been getting pain in my knee - he basically said that  i have the wrong shoes.. so i need new shoes - like now... and i have NO MONEY! litterally there is $30 in my checking account (you can thank the schools for paying early in Dec.) so i need to try my hardest to make it 2 more weeks.... (or steal some money from DH)

didn't make it to the gym today... our principal was presenting at the school board meeting and we needed to show our support... so i was there for that.

and i'm not going to the gym tomorrow either... because i'm going to atlanta to see HAIRSPRAY!!! i'm SUPER excited! $20 tickets though travel zoo!

so i'll be at the gym thursday and friday for sure.... and saturday is the fitness test - we will be doing a vo2 max test.... plus push ups... and sit ups (thats all i know for sure) and then that is the start of the 6 week challenge.

okay... i need to go to bed! i need to try to read some blogs first... then bed! i hope everyone is having a GREAT week!

nothing much

i don't really have anything to say today... nothing big happened this weekend. today we slept in a little - ran some errands - i had to make a cake for a coworker... i made a WW recipe (better than sex cake!) yummy! i really wanted to eat a piece tonight - but i have to wait until tomorrow.

dinner tonight SUCKED! it was this preseasoned turkey thing.... it wasn't very good ... plus i baked it longer than it said - and it still wasn't done completely.  this is the second time we tried one of these and definately the last! i asked DH to make sure to remind me in case i try to buy one again! we also had mashed potatoes.... those were good.

oh - i FINALLY packed up my christmas stuff! i  christmas and hate putting it away... i still have to put the tree up - but i need DH help... so it won't be until at least wednesday until that can be taken down. 

i've been snacky today... but have done pretty good... used 7 of my weekly 35 points. i usually don't need to use them except on the weekends - so that works out fine.

full week of school this week - i'm sure it'll go fine. the monthly principal's meeting is at our school this thursday - and the school board will be at our school for lunch on friday... so i gotta clean up my room this week.... it doesn't look bad at all - but it does need some straightening since "outsiders" will be there. gotta make our school look great!

okay - i guess i should get off of here and get myself ready for bed.

whoo-hoo!

i lost 4 pounds this week! gotta love how the first week back is always a good loss!

the class at the gym yesterday was awesome! excellent workout! it's basically a free form - we warmed up using some BodyCombat and then we ran around the gym complex... back door to back door is .5 a mile - then we did some mountain climbers - up downs - kettle ball - medicine ball - biscepts - jumping over a cone - and sprints.... i think thats it. i'm feeling it today! and it's great!

we have to go to DH grandparents today - he has to replace the lightbulb in the headlight of their VW bug... i'll have to bring my book to read.  so this means i won't be able to make it to the gym today.... but depending on the weather up there.... maybe i'll take the dogs for a walk up the mountain to get some activity in!

okay well i need to get off here - read some blogs and then get dressed so we can head up the mountain!

thursday

well nothing much to talk about today.... but i said that i was going to be on EP everyday - to help keep myself accountable....

i had a good eating day - except i had 2 WW ice cream sandwiches tonight - but that isn't too bad - it could have been worse... much worse.

didn't go to the gym - i was at work a lot longer than expected and missed class... i know i could have gone and done my own thing. but i chose not to - and now because of that i will go friday and saturday (i wasn't planning on going sat... now i am!)

okay... i'm off tonight - tomorrow is FRIDAY!

EP troubles

so i've been having trouble with EP since yesterday - i was trying to leave comments on blogs and everytime i would start typing - nothing would show... i would hit the space bar and it would take me to the bottom of the page... ugh! so i'm typing my post and then i will be off to try and comment again.

also - i don't know why my graph isn't right on my blog... i contacted the EP people but haven't heard back from them yet...

the past 2 days have been really good... i have been to the gym everyday this week... tuesday was RPM (spin class) and then today was BodyPump. I feel so excellent that i've been back to it again. it feels good!! tomorrow is RPM again and friday is BodyFusion (the circut class)

eating as been doing a lot better than i was doing over the holidays... which is excellent!

i have sent an email out to the people at my school to see how much interest we have to try and get weight watchers at work there.... we need to have 20 people signed up for an informational meeting... and so far we have 5 people signed up... i hope we get enough interest.

on the flip side of things.... the kids have been quite good these past two days (and it's surprising!) so this week hasn't been so bad - and tomorrow is already thursday!

YAY!

today was a good day!

we were in meetings all day.... not too bad - i came prepared with snacks!

i came home afterwards... relaxed a little - had a snack and then went to the gym. i did both body attack and body pump. (total of 12 activity points! whaa-hoo!) 

and good news... there is a class on fridays - body fusion - which is circut training. so that is a class 5 days a week!  oh - and starting on saturday jan. 17th the gym is doing a 6 week get fit challenge. so i'm going to start that! don't know much more about it - except they are going to do a who fitness report - and then after the 6 weeks they will do it again to see how much we have improved. **and there are prizes! i ALWAYS do well when there are prizes!

okay... i'm off - i gotta do some work - tomorrow the kiddies show up! wish me luck!
