Blargh
Weigh-in today verified my observation that I haven't lost in two weeks. The WW leader asked to see my tracker and all she could do was nit-pick that I hadn't checked off the boxes for my water. I pointed out that I don't check the boxes because I drink way more than the minimum each day, so there's no need to track. She kept on about it, implying that if I don't check the boxes than I'm being dishonest or something or that I'm simply not giving this my full effort. "Aren't you worth the time?" she asked.
I tell you. It was all I could do to not shove the woman off her chair and walk out. Doesn't she understand that it's the DRINKING of the water that matters, not the CHECKING OF THE DAMN BOXES? This is just not working for me. I wish I knew what to do. I don't want to go off my diet. I'm in a good mental place for weight loss. However, I'm not losing and I don't believe what this woman says that I need to eat ALL my flex points or I'm not going to lose weight. I am eating way more calories per day than I have ever eaten on a diet before. Eating more can't possibly be the answer. Eating something DIFFERENT has to be the solution.

She may be right
Ashley, I know you're frustrated, but it is true that eating more can be the answer to losing weight safely and in a way that you actually keep it off long term. Anyone can starve themselves down, but then they put it back on again. I am telling you, I lost my weight and have kept it off for years by eating and exercising, not by calorie counting. Okay, so I have put on 5 pounds over the last year, but I can still wear the same clothes and don't really look any different--so I think I've been successful.
The deal is, for weight loss, if you're calorie counting, it's your current weight times 10. So actually you could eat 2000 calories a day of CLEAN FOOD and you would lose weight. If you're on a 1750 a day regime, you really shouldn't try to go lower than that. If you do, you will lose muscle and bone in the process. I know you know this. It doesn't matter if you lose pounds if you also lose your bone density and have to start actually digesting your own muscle tissue to keep going!
Tick the damn boxes, eat the 1750 calories, get moving. If you lose at a rate of 1 pound per week (I personally think 1/2 pound per week is better because the slower you lose it the less likely you are to put it back on), then you will be doing well. You will be losing fat, not muscle and bone. You will build your cardiovascular strength and bone density through exercise. By losing weight safely and eating well, you will decrease your risk of heart disease, diabetes and cancer. There is so much more to this than getting thin. It's healthy you want to be, so you can go to that little girl's wedding, and chase them grandbabies.
You can do this.

Ww... multiple groups? leaders?
I don't know how Ww works. Is it like OA where there are several groups one can attend? and differing times? within the same city?
In OA, if one sponsor isn't a good personality fit one can ask for a different sponsor. Or if someone doesn't feel comfortable with one group another might be a better 'fit'.
Maybe someone else could review your stuff? Just a thought.
