This Isn't Working

Well, I'm thinking this WW point system is not working. I really think I have too many points. I get 28 per day, and 35 extra per week! I never use them all unless I go on some dining out and/or beer drinking binge.  I weighed this morning and weighed exactly the same as when I started three weeks ago!

I can tell I have too many points because I've gotten to where I don't even worry what I'm making for dinner--don't calculate my points ahead of time--because I KNOW I've got plenty, and I'm always right!

I did some rough calculations and found that if I eat all my daily points and the flex points, I would be eating, on average, 1750 calories per day. I know that in the past, I had to limit my calories to 1350 to lose weight. I know WW says I need to eat all my points, and I understand the concept that if I go too low, my metabolism will slow down.  However, I'm not seeing any progress and something has to change.

As my life stands right now, I can't get in much exercise, so I think I should lower my daily points from 28 to 24. Even then, I'm only lowering my weekly calorie intake by 1400 calories. Doesn't seem like such a big deal.

Does anyone disagree?

WW points

Sometimes WW recommends eating all of your points to see if that makes a difference; for some people (like my best friend) they don't lose at all if they eat their anytime points; others (like me) still lose and eat all of the anytime points (and all the activity points... lol) The first thing to ask is, are you getting in all of your GHG? I know that's my problem sometime, I usually always make the milk and fruit/veggie requirements but I nearly always miss the oils. I think you have to follow the healthy guidelines completely for the plan to work as it should.
And, I know 28 seems like a lot... but I would stick with it! When you lose more you will drop down in points, and believe me, I would give anything to have 28 points! You will wish you had those when you get down to 22 haha... I have 24 at the moment but if I don't plan right that still isn't enough. Maybe try eating all of your points and try to get in as much exercise as you can with your scheduele. Good luck!

Keep trying

Three weeks isn't very long. If you are fueling with good food and getting in some good walks 3 or 4 times a week, you will lose weight very slowly, but it will be FAT and not just a dramatic water drop.

Give it another month. Even if you don't lose any, you'll still be eating healthy foods, and that's got to count for something. Then decide if you want to cut some points. And don't forget, the way your clothes fit and your measurements are also very relevant, even if there's no change on the scale. I mean, nobody knows what your number is, but everybody can see your butt! If that's getting smaller, who cares about the number!

Good luck

I didn't have much luck with WW.  It was too easy for me to eat the wrong foods and still be in my points.  I was hungry though. LOL!  But that's what happens when you eat empty calories.

I think that if nothing else stick with it for a little while longer and if the scale doesn't move, then change something.
