Day 28
Can't post cos I'm busy with a lot of things but I wanted to note down the weight loss :)
5kilograms (~11pounds I think) gone so far. Thinking of my lifestyle before starting dieting and exercising, I think it's quite good in 28 days. More to come!
Take care until next time :)

Day 21
Somehow I have managed to sleep early last night and I woke up around 8:15 in the morning. Last night it rained and it was windy and the wind was really cold. I was expecting the bloody English weather to go on for another couple of days so it was a nice surprise when I saw the sun as I opened my curtains.
I felt sleepy but having known my morning behaviours for 30 years now, I thought if I don't get out of the house right now I'll either go back to sleep until noon or will sit by the computer doing useless stuff until even later than noon.
So I quickly changed, made some coffee in a plastic cup and went out for a walk. Receiving the pedometer I ordered a couple of days ago also contributed in the motivation, hehe.
Target is walking 10,000 steps a day. Hopefully it's going to be managable in two walking sessions a day. I vaguely remember walking 2,000-3,000 steps with ThereUgo when she got her pedometer a few months ago. Although it didn't work very well and I remembered those walking sessions being really long and painful... for 3,000 steps at most.
So I was a little scared to begin with. But what's needed to be done will be done. I reset and attached my pedometer on my tracksuit bottom after leaving the house with my coffee cup in my hand. So the first walk from my house to the park 7-8 minutes walk away from the house was rather slow not to spill the coffee :P
I sat on a bench in the park, enjoyed a cigarette with my coffee and right after finishing those, I didn't want to get more comfortable there and got going.
It was quite fun, I walked to a different direction than I usually do, so I discovered new routes and walked more than I thought I would. My speed was good enough to make me sweat after 10 minutes of walking - considering the sun was gone by then and the wind was back. At least it didn't rain :)
I don't know for exactly how long I walked... I set the alarm on my mobile last night at 9:00 to wake up and 10:00 for breakfast. By the time it was 9:00 alarm, I was already sweating. And by the time it was 10:00 alarm, I was on the way back, still 10 minutes walk from the house. So I should have walked a little more than an hour in total.
But what I read on the pedometer screen was quite nice: 4835 steps, yay :) Almost half the number I aim for a day. I can certainly do the other half in the evening. So I realised it's actually doable. The first time ThereUgo got the pedometer and we achieved around 2,000-3,000 steps, I thought it was impossible to do 10,000 steps. HAH! It is possible! Yay :)
I got some breakfast and took my pills and vitamin after I got home. Now I'll jump in the shower and get ready to go and visit a friend with ThereUgo.
*blows kisses around*
Consumed so far...
Coffee 15cal
Breakfast: 1,5 weetabix biscuits 100cal
Total 115cal

Day 20
I haven't posted here for ages apart from noting down mini weight losses which is not as good as the first week but still in plan.
In terms of eating I don't have any problems but when it comes to exercising I did slow down or not been able to manage a steady regular routine although I did my best to walk as much as I could. Some days were better than others and two days basically done nothing because of my hay fever or whatever made me feel disgusted with life...
Today I woke up reasonably early (my sleeping pattern is totally messed up, sleeping in day time, wide awake all night) and I did manage to sleep around 4 last night - or this morning rather! I was gonna go out for a walk but I couldn't because the bloody security alarm thingy people didn't come at the time they said they would. So, waiting for them in the house, bored.
Since I was determined to work out a little, I finally found the strength in myself to put the Tae bo video on and do it. The first time I tried it, I lasted around 3 minutes, lol. This time I finished the 8 minute workout and then repeated it to learn the moves as some of them are quite confusing when you're trying to watch-learn-do it at the same time :P
It's a good start, now I'm prescribing myself 2x 8 minute Tae bo workouts in the day :)

Day 11
Hay fever is killing me... I have been using some allergy pills but obviously they are not working. I couldn't get something else as it's a sunday but tomorrow I'll go to Boots and get some proper help.
On the other hand, diet goes well, I've eaten oatcakes with soft cheese for breakfast, a green salad for lunch and some grilled chicken with potato mash and peas for dinner. Also treated myself with low cal chocolate sponge pudding and 2 digestive biscuits between meals as snacks.
I can't be arsed to calculate calories at the moment, apologies ;)
I also walked for an hour tonight, it was very hot and I sweated a lot. Now browsing blogs on this site and enjoying ice cold water to cool down...
Hope everyone's having a good day *waves*

Day 10
I'm... in... pain...
Both ankles hurt when i stand up, probably cause of the long walk yesterday. What a stupid situation, my body needs the exercise but my feet, who are part of my body cannot carry my body for too long...
I have terrible period ache yet I don't have my period. Now that I'm taking my pills again, I was expecting the periods to come back, even if they are irregular but nope, not working... Why oh why, I wonder, even if I don't have the period why do I have every other bad thing about it? Not fair...
I'm also suffering badly from hay fever. I didn't have it since my teenages (I'm 29)
Eyes, inside the nose and throat itching itching itching, I can't scratch inside my throat, coughing doesn't help. Sneezing sneezing, runny eyes, runny nose. I HATE IT!
Other than eating, I spent the day in bed. I'm bored... I'll take a painkiller and go for a walk a little later.
I've eaten the following today:
Breakfast
A mini oatcake sandwich with a slice of low-fat cheese and 2 oatcakes (144)
Snack
Nutri-grain soft bake chocolate bar (136cal)
Lunch
Some dish cooked with cabbage and carrots, no idea about calories, probably around 200.
Dinner
Same dish from lunch as I cannot be arsed to prepare anything else. another 200cal
Total 680 so far but as I'm haviong an early dinner, I'm probably gonna have a snack later.

Day 9
I couldn't sleep last night. It was around 5:30 when I finally gave in to sleep but been waken up by the cat a couple of times so I had to lock him out...
I had to wake up 8ish in the morning to let the gardener in, I did that and ate a kitkat (2 fingers) as breakfast so that I could take my pills. I was too tired to bother with something else and I had a huge craving for chocolate. That must be around 400cals and it was worth every calory :P
After my kitkat breakie, I went back to bed and just woke up (3pm)... I'm feeling I've slept enough for the first time for days and I'm also feeling hungry... Time for lunch!

Finally...
I finally weighed after a little more than a week. Lost 2kg! yay :)
Considering my target was losing 1kg a week, this is good news. Of course I know that in the beginning you lose weight faster but hey, I still can cheer up... *cheers up*
I'm not going to weigh every day and depress about it. I'll just do it once a week and focus on changing my lifestyle rather than worrying about numbers. It should have a negative effect in the numbers anyway and I have a long way to go still...
Oh and let me note down what I've eatend for the rest of the day:
Lunch
Toastie with low fat cheese (30cal) and a frankfurter (99cal) 2 slices of bread (100cal) with a total of 229cal
Snack
Low fat raspberry cheesecake 157cal
Dinner
Runner beans steamed in the microwave with soy sauce 90cal
Total 476
Day's total with breakfast: 723
So I still can have another snack hehe ;)

Day 8
I haven't posted for 3 days, I just couldn't. Not that I ate the world or anything, it's just that I was feeling depressed and unhappy. Thanks to my polycystic ovaries, life is like a never ending PMS and it's just too depressing sometimes.
The last couple of days I ate my vegs and stuff as usual and walked in the evenings. Except yesterday, when I was totally in pain because I hurt my ankle while walking the previous day. How did I manage to do that, I don't know. Probably just because I'm not used to exercising, my body is reacting to the weird change :P
My sleep pattern also messed up. Yesterday was hell, I wanted to sleep, I was dying for some sleep but the builders downstairs making the untolerable noise, drilling, nailing, etc. In the end I slept early at night but at the sweetest moment of my sleep I was waken up by some more drilling. Don't they have a life, why do they start working at half fucking past 7?!!
I'm feeling dizzy and definitely need more sleep. Have the biggest headache and on top of all I have a lot of work to do in the house today.
I am moving to a new place in July so until then I should sort my stuff, file all papers, select some of the clothes to give to charity, etc. I can't finish everything today of course but I have to start, I've been slacking for two weeks to start now.
Other than that, I'm doing laundry, will probably wash 4-5 batches as I didn't have access to the laundry room cos of the builders working there... Good thing I have countless t'shirts that lasted me through the last 2 weeks but I had to wash some underwear in the sink... I should buy some more so that they will last me two weeks (wearing 1 each day) in cases of laundry emergencies :P
Day 8, breakfast:
4 oatcakes with soft cheese (less than 1% fat) - oatcakes 53cal each and the softcheese is only 20cal
Coffee - 15cal
Total 247cal

Dinner
Ok, no need to panic, everything taken under control... Just managed to move my lazubum to prepare some dinner :)
Having a mixture of cauliflower, brocoli and carrots steamed in the microwave with added spring onions, lots of herbs, tiny bit of olive oil, a little more vinegar and lemon juice, some soy sauce and with low fat yoghurt on top to cheer up the sad bunch of vegs :P That makes 150cal. Add the slice of bread, 50cal:
Total 200cal
I hope we can be arsed for at least a short walk after eating hehe
