Holiday Update
I'm still here - have not been particularly healthy during my Christmas
vacation, though I've walked a few times. The antihistamines have just
wiped me out, I'm always tired!
Christmas pressies included a silicone muffin pan, an ice cream maker,
and WiiFit Plus (contradictory message there, hubby? LOL) and we've
already given them all a try. I made the most yummy home made vegan
peanut butter ice cream and we both think it's divine! Not good for the
waistline, though. He's keeping the container in the freezer all the
time now so we can make ice cream at a moment's notice. LOL. I'm
actually hoping he'll try some of the non-vegan recipes he's found
because that way I won't be tempted.
I'm enjoying the time off work SO MUCH but still part of me can't wait
for my normal routine to come back. As busy and as stressed as I get
while working, I do manage to eat right and get in some workouts when
I'm working, so here's to a fresh start again in 2010. I've had 'fresh
starts' every year, it would seem. And I do very well the first half
of the year, usually getting 50 pounds or more gone -- then I plateau
and it lasts MONTHS -- then I slowly go back to eating what I want and
not working out so much, so most of the weight comes back. It's a
pattern I'd really like to break in 2010. With the help and support
from so many wonderful new blogger friends, I hope to succeed this time.
