Billy Blanks made me pee. Now I remember why I don't skip rope anymore. Let me explain. Billy starts off his Bootcamp Mission One video with jumping jacks, so that's what I did. Well, looks like I was a little too energetic with them, because I tinkled a little. Thank goodness for my little Always pad! Thanks to it for allowing me to keep working out without delay. Sorry - TMI - but in retrospect it was a little funny.
While I was doing my Taebo, Hubby was getting ready for work. He told me how proud he is of me for keeping up with my morning workouts. How sweet! Of course that motivated me to work out even harder. I followed my Billy DVD with The Firm's Power Yoga.
DD awoke while I was in the final 10 minutes of my yoga DVD, so I invited her to join me. I couldn't believe how much more flexible I am than her. Ha! I am more flexible than a 9-year old. Now if I could just get her flat tummy!
Tonight I'm off to bingo with the girls. My FIL will be over to mind the girls until Hubby gets home from work. I asked my BFF to drive this time so I could have my glass (or two) of wine when I get home.
Tomorrow DD has a ringuette game at 10:45. Thank goodness that is the ONLY thing I have scheduled for the weekend. Bless her heart - she's been counting down the days to "The Big Game".
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I look forward to reading all about it on Monday!
Sorry I'm late. I had a dentist appointment this morning, followed by a meeting at 9:30 am. I just got back from lunch with my mother, who will be away in Guelph, Ontario, for the weekend.
Today I slept in, since I got in very late from bowling (134-118-146). Add that to the half-hour lovemaking session with hubby, and you see what I mean when I say I was TIRED this morning (LOL)!
Ah, but the scale was kind this morning. 163.6 means I am 3.6 lbs away from my end-of-January goal of 160. Maybe it IS possible??? If not, no biggie. It's not a race, right?
Creepy Bowling Guy was a little less annoying last night. Thankfully he was at the other end of the alleys last night so I didn't see him much. He managed to seek me out a few times to see how I was playing, etc., but I pretty much avoided all contact. Hopefully he got the message...
My BFF just called and wants to go to bingo tomorrow night. I don't remember the last time I went. I'll have to get the inlaws to stay with the kids until hubby gets home from work, though.
You asked about T-Tapp. I stopped using it for awhile because I wasn't seeing results on the scale. I keep meaning to do it Saturday mornings but thus far have failed. I think her workouts are great for getting your core muscles into shape, though, and have total faith in her fitness principles. I still do the body brushing sporadically, but really should make it a point to do it at least 5 days per week. I'm working on it!
Tomorrow the girls have a ped day, so no homework tonight. My eldest DD has a project to complete, so I'll be sure she gets a good chunk done tonight.
With all this talk about cleansing lately, I thought I'd share my experience yesterday. Lucky you! Well, I am almost always bloated and gassy - probably because of all the fiber and veggie soup I ingest all week long. I have a tendency to be constipated. Hubby's pork tenderloin Monday night really got the old system working, I'll tell you! Count them - 4 trips to the porcelain god. Yahoo!
This morning I went 4 for 4 on the exercise front. Not only did I do Billy Blank's Bootcamp Mission One, but I also added Scotts Pilates to the mix. I am on top of the world this morning!
Did you enjoy TBL last night? Did you bite your fingernails off from the anticipation of how the WI would go? I sure did! I admit I was disappointed with the outcome.
How sad about Heath Ledger's passing. What a tragedy!
Bowling tonight. Hopefully Creepy Guy keeps to himself.
I kept my word and did my Firm Ultimate Fat Burning & Power Yoga workouts this morning. So far this week I'm 3 for 3. Tomorrow I'll probably do my Billy Blanks Taebo Bootcamp Mission One.
Hubby is home this week, so he's got all our suppers planned out through Thursday. Horray! Last night we had pork tenderloin. Tonight it's tortellini. He told me about Wednesday and Thursday, but I forgot what he said. In any case, I'm in heaven! I don't have to pick up the kids at school, plus their homework is DONE by the time I arrive. Pure bliss!
It's snowing here again. Unfortunately we're heading back down to -0.4F by the weekend, so I doubt I'll be taking advantage of the new snow. We'll see!
TBL tonight, baby - I can't wait.
Have a wonderful, healthful day, everyone!!!! Do your body good!
Today I am wearing low cut underpants. Until today I have always worn my high cut white cotton undies. I'm actually comfortable! Small victories...
Speaking of victories, I actually walked yesterday. Yep - a brisk one hour walk in 8.6F cold. I wanted to go snowshoeing with my BFF, but she told me I was nuts to go outside. I could have gone by myself, but I wanted to go with someone else for the first time. Her loss! You should have seen me, though. I was bundled up like an eskimo - I actually had to turn my whole body to check for oncoming traffic. LOL!
This weekend I picked up Billy Blank's Bootcamp Elite workout kit. It comes with 3 DVDs (Mission one, two and three) and weighted exercise bands. What a workout that was this morning! Tomorrow I'll do my Firm Ultimate Fat Burning, followed by Power Yoga. My goal this week is to work out 6 days. 2 down, 4 to go!
I ate pretty well this weekend. Saturday I took my DD to Vinnie Gambini's for lunch - pure decadence. I had linguini Romanoff (creamy vodka sauce). It was to die for! For supper we ate at Subway - way more reasonable. DD had two ringuette practices so eating at home wasn't an option.
Have a great week, everyone! Only 10 days left to meet your goals for January!
Too funny! Shelley just pointed out my little typo: glass of wine and a little wine will also do nicely... I meant to say a little CHEESE. Thank goodness it's Friday!
I'm proud to report that I have exercised consistently every day this week. This morning it was The Firm's Ultimate Fat Burning, followed by The Firm's Power Yoga. Now if I can just get my butt out of bed tomorrow morning... (don't count on it).
DD has two ringuette practices tomorrow: one at 9am, then another at 5pm. Sunday she's off, so I'm hoping to do a little cross-country skiing. I have yet to try my new snowshoes, also.
Any American Idol fans out there? I watched Tuesday's episode last night while doing my Sudoku's. Honestly, I'm not as into it as I was last year. I'm getting a little fed up with these strange people who only want their 5 minutes of fame - not funny at all!
Tonight hubby is on nights again, so I have to figure out what to make the girls for supper. Thankfully it's Friday, so no homework to worry about. I can't wait to hop into my jammies when I get home! A glass of wine and a little wine will also do nicely...
Boy, was it ever hard getting up at 4:45 this morning! I didn't get to bed until 11:00 last night. Usually I skip my Thursday workout in favor of sleep, but today I prevailed. 60 minutes in the deep freeze, baby!
I was going to follow up my walk with a 30-minute power yoga session, but my DD was watching American Idol when I got back. I could have used the other television, but I figured that yoga Tuesday and Pilates yesterday would suffice. I'll add it to my workout tomorrow morning.
Fitness Magazine has an article this month with a 15-minute exercise program you can do sitting at your desk. I just might try it! The article also includes tips on how to burn calories throughout the workday in an office environment.
Bowling was fun last night: 164-146-124 (avg 145). We have a new player whose wife just filed for divorce. Nice guy and all, but he kinda keeps hitting on me and it's making me a tad uncomfortable. He asked me to practice bowling with him Saturday afternoon (I declined), then said he'd signed up for ballroom dancing and needed a partner. He knows I'm married, plus he's 13 years older than me. I just try to be polite and otherwise ignore him.
Hubby is on nights through Saturday, so I'm on my own in the kitchen. I got used to arriving home after work with supper ready and homework done. How quickly we get spoiled, huh?
That's all I've got for today, ladies. Have a wonderful, healthful day. Take care of your body - it's the only one you'll ever have!
Not much exciting to report today. I woke at 4:30 am and immediately started my Firm's Ultimate Fat Burning Workout. I then tried out my new mat with Scott Pilate's AM Wakeup DVD. After 60 minutes of exercise, I was ready for a shower, followed by breakfast and viewing of TBL. I always wait for morning to watch the weigh-ins with my DD - it's our "thing".
Were you pleased with the choice of cast-offs? I sure was!
Hubby's pork chops were excellent last night. I don't want to know how many calories I ingested! Tonight he's whipping up some chicken fajitas - God help me!!!
Bowling tonight - GO QUEENS! We went down in the team rankings over the last two weeks and are hoping for some great scores tonight.
Well look who finally decided to pay a visit. Hopefully when he leaves he'll take a few pounds with him.
This morning I did my one-hour walk outdoors, followed by The Firm's Power Yoga DVD. Last night we ate salmon, veggies & rice for supper. Tonight it's BBQ pork chops, veggies & mashed potatoes. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are the usual - too boring to mention.
I'm looking forward to The Biggest Loser tonight. I trust there will be NO election coverage this time...
I just got back from a quick trip to Wal-Mart where I purchased a Scott Pilates mat & DVD set. The mat I've been using for yoga at home is about 2 inches thick and is very hard to balance on while standing. I plan to try it out tomorrow morning after my Ultimate Fat Burning DVD. I'm actually looking forward to it - go figure!
