Quickie
No, you filthy little minds! This POST will be a quickie. I'm packing up the camper, getting ready to head out to Lake George. I'm bringing my laptop, but doubt I'll have time to even glance at it. Have a wonderful weekend, and I'll see you when I get back (probably not before next Friday).

Darn Scale!
Good morning!
Bloody scale always knows when I've eaten something I shouldn't have! I met my Mom for lunch yesterday where I had a glass of wine, veggie soup, roughly 10 french fries (I put aside the 30 or 40 that came with them), and a roast beef sandwich with melted swiss cheese. The meal was to die for - I could easily have devoured the whole plate!
For supper hubby, the girls, my brother and his son (and myself) went to Jack Astor's where I had a thai chicken platter. I only ate around half of that, because the chicken was so darn tough! I wasn't in the mood for a huge salad, so I figured this was the healthiest choice. My brother and hubby both pigged out on buffalo chicken fingers and fries. Oh, I also had a glass of wine but was extremely tempted to drink another.
After supper we saw The Simpsons Movie - great for a few laughs. I neither ate nor drank a single thing at the theatre, thank you very much. Normally I would have written off the whole day and gone completely nuts on Diet Pepsi and M&Ms, but I knew I'd just feel like crap afterwards. Small victories.
My Mom was down 1.6 lbs at WW last night - GO MOM!
This morning I completed my T-Tapp workouts as usual, but this time I threw in a 30-minute walk before work. I have to get in all the exercise I can before our camping trip Friday.
Tomorrow I have a full day - haircuts for me and the kids, shopping for kids' running shoes, groceries for the camping trip, dentist for my eldest, yada yada yada. No rest for the wicked! Tomorrow night I have to get the RV packed after my little one's soccer game.

Feelin' Frisky
Good morning!
Where in the world did THAT title come from? Well, I am feeling pretty fine this morning. I went for my powerwalk for about 75 minutes, then had a refreshing shower. I'm having a pretty good Hair Day, plus I'm wearing a light, airy tank top. Life is good. Okay, so the scale says otherwise, but I believe it's all in the way you FEEL about yourself that's important.
Tonight we're off to supper and to see The Simpsons Movie. I can't wait - it should be good for a few laughs. Thursday I'm going for a haircut - I'd like to do something a little different for the summer, so I think I'll have it trimmed to just below the shoulders. It'll all depend on my mood that morning. Hopefully I'm not feeling too daring (but hair does grow back, right?) I'd like my bangs to be a tad shorter, too.
I might take my bike to work tomorrow. It's only half an hour each way, but it requires much more blood and oxygen than my walks. Perhaps if I did it more often, it wouldn't be so taxing. We'll see...
Other than that, nothing much is new here. Hubby is taking his dad and the kids to Granby Zoo tomorrow. Unfortunately I'll be alone at the office all day whilst my brother and dad play golf, so I won't be able to go with them. Truth be told, I am not a fan of zoos - I only go to make hubby and the girls happy.

Busy, Busy!
Good morning!
Where to begin? Friday I took the girls to the Agricultural Expo in St-Hyacinthe. We got there early so we could see all the animals before the rides opened at noon. The girls had a great time, and we managed to get everything done before the anticipated thunderstorm. I ate fairly well, plus I walked A LOT.
Speaking of walking, I actually did my one-hour powerwalks both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Unheard of! The scale actually read 168.2 yesterday morning, so hopefully I'll hit the 167 mark by the end of the week. Fingers and toes are crossed! This morning I did my T-Tapp workouts, and I'm feeling great.
Last night we went to some friends' for a lobsterfest-ribfest. I brought a veggie platter with me, so filled up on that before the meat came out. I had several lime margaritas, plus a little too much vino (again), but all in all I fared pretty well. Oh, did I mention the decadent piece of chocolate cake I ingested? Best to forget about that!
Speaking of wine, I drank a whole bottle Saturday night when we had a few friends over. Time to get a grip! I REALLY want to get up to the 20-lb loss mark soon. Thankfully I'm working most of the week, so eating will be pretty routine.

Oops!
Good morning!
I was so busy reading everyone else's blog, I almost forgot to write in my own!
Yesterday I managed to bike home. I could have cheated and used my brother's van, but I sucked it up and rode the 30 minutes in 90F heat. Yay me! Actually, the trip home seemed much easier, considering much of it was downhill.
This morning I walked for 70 minutes before work. My back is a little sore from my bike ride yesterday, but it's a good sore (right?).
I hate the thoughts of working all day. It's supposed to rain for the next 3 days, so this will likely be the last day of sunshine for awhile. My Dad is off playing golf, so I'm stuck here alone until 5:00 pm. Sucks to be me. Oh, well - things could be worse.
What else? Hmm... I drank a little too much wine last night, but what else is new? The weather was perfect for sitting outside and relaxing after a long day at work. Pure bliss!
Tomorrow I might play hookey and take the girls to the Agricultural Expo in St-Hyacinthe. They have tons of animals, plus rides, yada yada yada. It will be packed, though. I promised I would take them weeks ago, and it ends Sunday. We'll see...

8.4 Vacation Pounds Eliminated!!!
Good morning!
Ah, the sweet taste of victory! I finally lost the 8 lbs I gained on vacation 2 weeks ago. I may actually get down to 165 by next Friday when I leave for Lake George (cross fingers here). Now do you understand why I was so excited about what I wrote about in my last post? Hmm? I just KNEW I'd be much lighter on the scale this morning!
Have you ever seen a dog riding a bike? Had you been on my path this morning, you'd have seen one. Indeed, I actually rode my bike to work. 30 minutes of pure hell, panting and sweating like an old dog. I feel AMAZING, pure bliss (now that it's over). This afternoon will be a whole other matter, as temperatures are supposed to soar well into the high 80s, low 90s. Should be interesting...
I had my nails done yesterday afternoon. Have I told you how much I detest getting manicures? Anyway, at least I got it over with and don't have to go back until next month.
My mom came by last night for a drink after her WW meeting. She stayed even on the scale, which she was thrilled about since she had eaten Szechuan for lunch. We were supposed to go in the hot tub, but the kids had fiddled with the temperature setting and the water was too cold. We skipped the soak, but did my Mom ever look amazing in her swimsuit! I can't believe how much her body has changed since last year! GO MOM!
I tell you, this has been a banner workout day. I did my T-Tapp BEFORE heading out on my bike. I wish I had this energy and motivation every day!

Poopies (Please don't be offended by this title!)
Good morning!
Indeed, you read the title right (TMI) - I've had 3 impressive bowel movements this morning. If it's because of the Mexican turkey burgers I made last night, I'll have to make them more often!
This morning I walked 75 minutes - yay! Tomorrow I'll be BIKING to work. I've been meaning to try it all summer, but the girls are doing some kind of rally at daycamp and have to bring their bikes. I figure it'll take me roughly 30 minutes to get here. The worst part will be getting home in the 90F heat.
How boring am I this morning? I have nothing else to say! Have a wonderful day. Keep cool and have fun!

I did it!
Good morning!
Indeed, I made it through the weekend unscathed. My new BFF, Miss Scale, says I'm down another 0.8 lbs this morning. 2.2 lbs left to get back down to where I was before I went nuts on vacation. I'll never do that again (I hope). Sticking to healthy snacks and limiting my alcohol intake really paid off this weekend!
I did my T-Tapp workouts this morning, and plan to do them again Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday I will do my powerwalks, maybe Saturday too. I WILL SUCCEED!!!

Angel 1, Smirnoff 0
Yay me - I got through the day without a single Smirnoff Ice vodka cooler. There are 5 in my fridge downstairs calling my name, but I did NOT succumb to the temptation this weekend. In fact I did pretty darn well overall. I didn't get to relax with a book like I had planned because my mother came by with my nephew for the afternoon. Then my inlaws came down for supper, so I missed my chance to veg out. That's okay, though. I had one margarita with my mom and wine with my inlaws after supper, but drank water all day long, for a total of about 3 litres. That is UNHEARD of for me on a Sunday, especially with all the sunshine and heat sent to me from Shelley and Kristen (helona). Thanks so much ladies!!! Gotta go now - motherly duties call. 5 Down, 3 to Go
Good morning! The weekend is starting off much better than last week. I started with a 75-minute walk and my usual breakfast of toast and oatmeal. For lunch I had an omlette at the restaurant, WITHOUT toast and home fries. Yay me! I drank water through most of the day while preparing for our BBQ. I prepared a veggie platter to munch on, plus a huge salad from a Pampered Chef recipe. When our friends arrived I had 3 lime margaritas with tequila and tons of veggies. For supper we had chicken brochettes with paresian potatoes, salad, and bread from my bread machine. I had wine with that and drank water throughout the evening. I guess I did pretty well, because I'm down 0.8 this morning. Hopefully the loss will hold until tomorrow, as I am doing NO exercise today.
