Today I am celebrating the birth of my eldest daughter who turned 10 today. Ten years ago today I was laying in a bed at the hospital, waiting for my first precious miracle. How time flies!
Needless to say the weekend was filled with birthday celebrations. Sleepovers, playdates, friends' birthday parties, plus hubby's curling banquet. Yikes - what an exhausting weekend! Yesterday I helped monitor a birthday pool party, so got in an hour of arm toning in the water. Unfortunately it did a number on my back, so was quite sore afterward (much better today).
Today I'll hop back on the bike and treadmill. I find it so FRUSTRATING to walk at a max speed of 2.8 mph when I'm more accustomed to 4.0. Slowly but surely I'll get there without worsening my muscle tear, or whatever it is that's causing so much pain. I'm itching to start the C25K program. Patience...
Not much else going on here today. The Habs (our beloved hockey team) is facing elimination tonight against the Boston Bruins, so we're all pretty wired. My youngest starts her friendly ringette league tonight, so I'll have to catch the rest of the game when I get home.
Have a wonderful day, everyone! I'll get around to commenting soon (I hope)...

morning!
Congratulations on 10 years of Mommydom! It's wild how time flies isn't it?
Hope you have a great day...and good luck taking it easy today. It's hard when you're not used it!
Happy giving birth day to you and happy birthday to your daughter!! Children are such a miracle!! I can't wait for you to start c25k with all of us. Isn't it wonderful to be surrounded by so many people who have a positive influence on your life?
Sorry about your pain. But you're really still doing as much as possible. So there's nothing really to be frustrated about. You haven't just given up or anything.
LOL I love it, the post-pregnancy picture is April 21, 1998, right when your girl was born. Ha
to your eldest - hope your back si better - do you know what is wrong with it? I have had an MRI which showed everything is normal but the pain is bad into my leg and while I'm reassured there is no disc damage,e tc..,, I 'm dispirited about the pain. You have a pretty full weekend in front of you - good luck.
I was so happy to see a message from you in my inbox this morning! I've been thinking about you and keep checking to see if you've blogged. Thats ok, as long as you keep in touch. Your comment touched me, thank you! Yes, thats the whole point of this voyage is that I'm there for my kids. Thats why Mothers Day is so special to me. And they did a great job of making me feel special. But, yea, its hard not having my mom around. Really hard.
I hope you are doing well!! Email me and let me know how you're doing if you get a chance, ok? I hope your Mothers Day was special, too!! You have such a wonderful family.
I'm glad you're still around and getting a bit of exercise still. I think thats great! Sorry your back is still bothering you, though. And as long as you're eating well, than you're doing what you can.
Thanks for touching base. I just wanted to make sure you were doing ok! Take care! Have a great weekend!
