I knew I shouldn't have, but I did anyway. My mother returned from Toronto yesterday afternoon so I asked if she wanted to have supper together. She already had plans with her BFF for Chinese, but insisted I come along with the girls. I hesitated, but agreed nonetheless. Big mistake! The scale was up 3 lbs this morning, as expected. Ugh - how frustrating! I know it's water weight from the sodium, but still!
On a brighter note, I took the kids X-Country skiing yesterday afternoon. Boy, are my legs SORE today! After an hour, I'd had enough, so the girls did a little skating and sliding. We had a great time, all in all. I'll have to try another place next time, preferrably with man-made GROOMED trails.
Bingo was a flop. None of us won anything. To top it off, my BFF decided to bring along her mother. This was supposed to be a "girlfriend gab" thing, so we weren't thrilled with the addition. L just isn't the same when her mother is around. She barely speaks to the three of us, preferring to dote on her mother (who has sever respiratory problems) the whole time.
This morning I did my Billy Blanks Bootcamp Mission One DVD (managed not to pee myself this time), followed by The Firm's Power Yoga. Tomorrow, according to Billy's workout chart, I have to do Mission Two. Oh Joy....
That's all for me today. Have a wonderful, healthful day!!!

Bingo
Aww man..why did she have to bring her mom?! Everyone knows you can't blab about everything when somebody out of the circle joins in.
Sodium in chinese is killer isnt it?? I can't believe how much the scale lets us think we've gained after chinese food. I'm sure you'll lose it all after a few days of drinking lots of water =D
And oh! Good job on not peeing on yourself during the jumping jacks ;) I'm so proud of you! *giggle* Take care girl! xox

Oh well...
You enjoyed the food, right? Chug your water and I'm sure the scale will go back down.
is NOT an option on such activities. If your BFF was feeling so guilty about maybe not spending enough time with her mother she should have organized an activity with her. I guess she wanted the best of both worlds and this is just isn't possible most of the time.
X-Country skiing sounds very tiring and an excellent calorie burner!!!! Well done. I'm sure those few lbs you saw this morning will disappear very soon as they are a sort of phantom gain. I've been in the mood for Chinese since the beginning of the year - your following-day experience however does put one off it after such a hard time to get a couple of pounds off!!!! Have a great day.
The MSG in Chinese food gets me every time . . . just take a few days and flush it out of your system with tons of water. You may have to be extra careful while doing your Billy Blanks though . . .
If I ever get re-married my husband will be chinese/japenese. I don't care what he looks like just as long as he cooks hot meals for lunch and dinner. Anywho back to you. Why did your friend bring her mom? maybe she felt guilty or something or maybe her mom invited herself. Sorry you didn't win anything. So no need for the depends today...great job!!
...for your support. Sorry to hear the scale was up. Dang Chinese! I am now craving it and tomorrow is my weigh in, so I better resist.
Why, oh, why do people DO that?? I hate when people change the plan like that and invite someone else--especially their mother! It just ruins it. I have an issue that I'm working through thats something similar-regarding a girls trip, but I won't go into it. It just bugs me. Sorry bingo was a bust.
Well, I'm glad you had fun X-country skiing and that your legs hurt hopefully in a good way!!
Darn Chinese food!!! I dont blame you, I blame the food. why does it have to be such CRAP!?
Great job on the DVDs, they sound super tough!

Dommage
It's really amazing how much that scale will move when we eat too much salt! You already know what to do to get the scale back down so I won't even tell you! Have fun with Billy!
At least you knew it was all that salt in Chinese food that made the scale go up... Well that and because they usually serve a lot of food! No worries, though.
I read your blog about the Billy Blanks video. That was pretty funny, but I'm glad for you that you didn't pee this time.
