SNOW AGAIN

Good morning!

OF COURSE it's snowing NOW.  Couldn't we have gotten something to ski or snowshoe on this weekend?  Heaven forbid!  Only time will tell if we'll get enough to last through next weekend.

Speaking of weekends, I ate like a pig and drank like a fish.  Couple that with the impending visit from TOM, it's no wonder the scale is WAY up this morning.  Not to worry, though!  I'm right back on track this morning:  The Firm's 40-minute Ultimate Fat Burning DVD and a brisk hour-long walk this morning kicked my butt in gear.  Tomorrow it'll be another long walk plus The Firm's Power Yoga.  Go girl!

Of course I will also be back to my normal, boring eating habits this week.  Gotta keep up with the water, you know!  Hehehe....  That scale WILL drop back down by Saturday.

Saturday night we had a great time with my husband's curling friends.  For those of you who haven't a clue what curling is (aka Shelley), picture shuffleboard on ice.  The hitch is you don't just throw your "rock" down to the target at the other end, you actually have to "sweep" the ice with a broom to get it moving faster.  Google it if you're interested.  I am not a fan of the sport, as I don't like to be cold.

We played Scene It, TV Edition, Party Pictionary, and Catch Phrase (our favorite).  I had lots of fat-laden finger foods, a few veggie sticks, a couple of Bloody Caesars (like Bloody Marys), and several glasses of wine.  Yes, there was dessert too.  Ah, well.  The damage is done and now I'm moving on.

Gotta go - always lots of work to do on Mondays.  I'll catch up with you soon!

Great attitude

That's right--what's done is done.  Just move on!

Sorry about the snow situation!

A New day

Today is a new day and the weekend damage won't last long.  Sounds like you had a lot of fun though!

Attitude

You have the right attitude.  If we think we are going to go the rest of our lives without a few "party" weekends, we are delusional!  And it's nothing to beat ourselves up over.  It's not like you're doing it all the time, or every weekend.  You've made great progress.  Here's to MONDAY!

Weekend

Well it sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. The best thing to do is just pick yourself up and start over. You've got it going on!

Fun

sometimes you gotta have fun. If you diet then its temporary, if its a lifestyle change, its for good and we know in life there are those parties and get togethers. You have a great attitude about it and seem to be back on track so the scales will be back down Saturday!

WTG on the workout this morning.

Sounds

like your evening was a lot of fun. Great attitude on getting back to track. Keep it up.

Well at least...

you had a few veggie sticks, so that ought to ward off any harm that eating like a pig and drinking like a fish will do! LOL But you are right! No worries! Its temporary and you had fun. That is what counts. Sorry the snow decided to show up a bit late.

Curling sounds kind of dangerous. Thanks for explaining it, though. I had a feeling it had nothing to do with curling irons like I suggested! LOL

Happy Monday!

Smiling Shelley

We got snow too

As of 10 am we had 17 inches...yes I went out and measured. LOL!  Our school was cancelled last night before it even started snowing.

Sounds like you had a great weekend! And good for you for getting back in the saddle.

Nothing like

a good Monday storm!!  Not sure how much we got - prediction was for 10 ".  I did get to test out some Antarctica wear though!!

Sounds like you had a great weekend...you deserve it.  Scale, smale...it'll all be fine!!

Hope you're not working too hard!!

Thanks

I was feeling blue; what can I say? I'm better now. Thanks for the comment.

Now get to work! Then go home and enjoy that fireman-cooked dinner and glass of red wine! Sounds good to me!
