I am so happy - I got my Grey's Anatomy fix last night. Finally a new episode - w00t w00t! Of course I HAD to watch the whole thing, so ended up hitting the sack at 10:00 pm. Boy was I exhausted this morning! SO...
I had a short and LAZY workout this morning and went back to bed. I got up at my usual time of 4:30 am and ate a piece of toast. Looking outside, I saw how dry it was - not an ounce of snow on the streets. It started snowing very lightly so I said WTF and headed out. WELL - that soon changed. By the time I got to the end of my driveway, the snow was coming down full force. The road was covered by the time I got to the Stop sign. Needless to say, I only walked a few blocks for a total of 20 minutes.
Still exhausted despite the winter shock, I just did NOT have the energy for The Firm's Ultimate Fat Blasting Workout - so I hopped back into bed and slept until 7:15 am. Of course I feel like crap now because I was running too late to grab a shower and fix my hair. I look and feel like death. Oh, well. At least I'm tucked away alone in my office. I don't have to see ANYONE. Thank goodness!
Unfortunately the snow won't be sticking around long enough for me to take my kids cross-country skiing this weekend. We're expecting rain the rest of the day, then clouds all weekend. Oh, well!
Tomorrow night Hubby invited his curling team for supper. Time to clean house again - crap! It will be hard to stay on plan, too. We're not having a formal supper, opting instead to serve hors d'oeuvres throughout the evening. There will be a veggie platter and cheese, though, so I'll try to stick to those. Of course there will be plenty of wine, too. Help!
Sunday we have NOTHING planned. Maybe we'll take in a movie - we'll see. I wouldn't mind just hanging out in my jammies all day.
Have a wonderful Friday and enjoy your weekend. I'll be back Monday. HUGS!

Oh a day in jammies!
That's my favorite! I love snuggling in. Of course, my problem with that is the food that I normally devour!
I hope you have a great party tomorrow...and stay away from that wine!
It rained here last night and is cloudy this morning....and, since I still have my jammies on.....I might just decide to stay in them a while. IT IS ALL YOUR FAULT FOR SUGGESTING!!
I so admire your resolve to get up so early in the morning and get your workouts in!!! TOOT, TOOT, my hat is off to you lady!
I know bowling is your sport of choice.....so, I thought of you yesterday when I discovered that Pogo.com has free bowling games. IT IS SO MUCH FUN.....of course there is not much of a challenge since you control the ball with your finger......but, none the less it is quite entertaining.
Blessings to you for a wonderful and safe weekend. If you are like me you will need HELP with the wine......oh my weakness. Just love it!! Chargail
Just remember: you said you are determined to maintain your 20-pound loss--no more up and down. Set your eating/drinking limits and stick to them! You can do this!
Apparently, I'm living yours and everyone elses dream of staying in my jammies all day! I slept in really late, too. Feeling like a big slug over here, but I've got to get in the shower in a minute here so I can pick up the kids from school. Trying to muster up the energy.
What on earth is curling? I wasn't sure if it was a typo yesterday, but obviously it isn't. So, I figured I'd ask. I just picture the guys with curling irons.....LOL
Have a great weekend, Angel. Thanks for the cheering up comment!
My first intention was to comment on Grey's! I know!! Wasn't it great to finally have a new one?? I missed part 2 of Crash into Me (the last new show) so I spent 2 freaking hours on the internet watching it last night before the new one came on. Tivo better not ever screw up and NOT tape one of my shows again, because that was really frustrating!
Good show, though. I'm loving the Derek/Meredith/Rose story! (Trying not to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet!) And then, the cherry on top of my night was Celebrity Apprentice! I missed it last week because I was in Disneyland and again, Tivo screwed up.
thing about Thursdays now is that DH doesn't have class, so I can watch Grey's without having to wait until Friday! It was a good episode...although next week is repeat.
We have had torrential rain all day here, but tomorrow is supposed to be pretty nice.
here in Malta it rained through the night but it's pretty clear right now - will go for a walk shortly. My Sundays are also usually very relaxed and I really try not to take commitments to be able to really do what I want. Good luck for the hors d'oevres evening. I'm off to a wine bar too this evening, twice in a week. While I did great on Wednesday, we'll see this evening how it goes. Happy weekend.
Hey beanbag...I hope you are able to stick to the veggies I am sure a couple other items won't throw you over the deep end. I hope you have lots and lots of fun. How many calories are in one glass of wine?
Something needs to change with Grey's. Even the actors are making comments they're bored with the scripts. When the writers come back, they'd better come up with something new or else I'm thinking actors will start to leave, one by one.
It really looks like they're somehow trying to get a gay relationship in the show. Dr. Hahn and Callie maybe?
I don't get the Miranda story. How can it be that she never sees her husband when you constantly see ALL of the other doctors (including 90-hour-a-week interns and the Chief) at bars, someone's house, etc.
And Miranda is a top doc, right? So why is her family living in a run down apartment with a half-assed building maintenance person? Shouldn't she be in a house in the burbs with the little one in day care or with a nanny? Interesting!
