What a storm!

Good morning!

What a storm we had yesterday - 24 inches in some areas!  We're still digging ourselves out.  On the bright side, today is another SNOW DAY!  The kids are at home with Hubby and I'm here at work.

I didn't eat very well this weekend.  Somehow about a dozen miniature M&M and Snickers bars made their way into my mouth.  Last night we went to a Xmas party where I ate pretty well.  The women there insisted I eat more, saying it was a "free/no diet" day.  No thanks - I've worked too hard to get where I am today.  All my black pants are swimming on me, including the pair I could barely fit into the last night of our cruise last year.

This morning I forced myself to do my strength training.  I almost crawled back into bed several times, but couldn't stand the thought of watching the scale climb back up.  So I toughed it out and came to work 2 hours early.  Yay!

Boy, was I exhausted this weekend!  I had a nagging cold which sapped me of all my energy.  I did NO housecleaning, opting instead to catch up on my tv programs all weekend.  Plus I fell asleep early both Friday and last night.  Saturday we played cards at a friend's house and didn't get to bed until after 11:00 pm.

I'm meeting my mom for lunch today.  I sure could go for a piping hot bowl of pasta.  Mmmm.....  and a glass of wine, of course.  Bon appétit!

Have a wonderful day, everyone.  Keep safe and warm!

Did I pass it on?

I hope I didn't pass my cold on.  Probably not, because that would mean that I didn't have it anymore.  And I do.  Just not as bad.  LOL!

Snow storm, huh?  I wish we could get just a little bit.  We never see snow.  Have fun at lunch with mom.

Way to go on the postiive self talk to get out of bed!

early for work...

no way... good girl! i would never dream on being 2hours early for work... unless they decided to pay me for the extra hours PLUS INTEREST and a little extra for getting me out of bed early !

yeehaw

I've read in articles that the reason why people give into sugar cravings is because they aren't eating enough fiber. Not that I'm saying you aren't because I don't know what you eat but that's a thought to think about it.

That is good that you can have a glass of wine. I usually can have a couple of drinks and not have any more but sometimes I just give in to more and more. Moderation is good though for this weightloss thing to work. It's hard because most of the time I can only have a couple and it's okay but then I just at least once a week want to get smashed. :)  I don't even do strength training, they claim it's so important but I could care less. I am not spending money at a gym just because the experts say I need it. Oh well. That's my personal view on it. But if you like it go for it. I used to work out at the gym (membership was $150 for six months) and I got bored quickly. I had vowed when I started that I was gonna do it for 2 hrs a day but that didn't last.

Snickers!

I don't know what it is about those Snickers miniatures, but they are so addicting!  I drool everytime I pass by them in Target, but so far, I've been able to keep walking past it.  I hope your cold gets better soon--I'm fighting one too!

Good girl!

Good for you for ignoring those women and sticking to your guns!! That is true willpower, my friend!

Sorry to hear you have been sick, too! I sure hope I don't get sick. I have too much to do for that to happen. I hope you feel better soon! Have fun at lunch with you mom! That sounds like a lot of fun! Enjoy!

Take care and have a wonderful Monday! Stay warm, too! Snow Day! Fun!

Hey little shit

I hope you are feeling better today.  I can not believe how much snow you guys got.  It sounds awesome!  Well I guess not to you because you are living in it.  Here we just had weather in the 70's last week.  We are starting to get cooler in the 50's but no snow like you.  I hope you can manage to stay warm and cold free.

Take care,

precious

Snicker and snow

I love snickers and I know how addicting they are. I read that if you're tempted to have a treat, just take a bite to taste it and savor it slowly. You want it because you want to taste it, not because you're hungry. I tried that and it helped. Hope this helps you.

That's a lot of snow up there. It certainly made the wind chills advisory nothing compare to up there. Stay warm.

wow!

That is a lot of snow!!!!  Great job on your strength training!  Good luck with WI!

Yum!

A hot bowl of Pasta!

So, good job on not wanting that scale to creep up!  ME TOO!  I'm with you on that!
