Another Quickie

Hi guys!

I survived the first major snow storm of the year - yee haw!  We got roughly 13 inches altogether, with another inch or two expected today.  I awoke at 4:45 to work out, which I did.  While I did my strength training, I watched the news waiting for the girls' school to be announced as cancelled.  Indeed it was!  Needless to say with the gusting snow and horrible road conditions, I didn't walk.  I did what any school bus operator would do - returned to bed.  Pure bliss!

After my "nap", I got all bundled up and headed out for the ultimate workout - 3 hours of shoveling, give or take.  I was DRENCHED when I got back into the house.  Lunch was chicken soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.

I got my DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) for PlayStation 2 over the weekend.  The girls and I had a blast with it.  I think I must have danced for about 2 hours Sunday night.  Unfortunately you have to go barefoot on the mat.  With my high arches, that's not such a good thing.  My right knee was really sore yesterday morning.

I managed to return my Billy Bag.  Looks like I'll have to find a Billy Blanks non-bag workout somewhere.  Thanks for all your comments on that post - you kept me QUITE entertained!

My eating hasn't been great the last few days.  TOM finally popped in yesterday morning.  I feel like a blowfish, I'm so bloated.  I am happy to report, though, that my ultra-tight snow pants from last year actually fit quite nicely - OVER my belted jeans to boot!  Small victories...

My Google Reader tells me you ladies have been quite busy tapping away.  I doubt I'll have time to read them all today, but I should be caught up by the end of the week.  Come hell or high water, I WILL read them all!

Have a great day, everyone!

Angel

Snow day!

Sounds like fun! Except for shoveling snow; no thanks! But that must've been an awesome workout!!!

I've missed you the past few days!! So glad you are back! Just get caught up whenever you can. I had a funny post on Saturday. If  do say so myself. LOL

Hooray that your snow pants fit!! I had that amazing feeling in February when we went to skiing! I was so happy..so I know just how you feel. Yay!

Have a wonderful Thin Tuesday!

God, you would think I was sitting here just waiting for you to post! LOL I promise, I wasn't! Ok, maybe I was.

13 inches!

That's a foot of snow already!

You're gonna be so thin after strength training, shoveling and dancing around the house!

Shoveling!

Such great exercise it is!  Just think of that while you're doing it.  Your WI is going to be great!  That's a whole lotta snow, though.  We NEVER see snow!

Oh man look at those arms!!

Haha...that should tone those arms up in a hurry!! I have major bat wings, so can I come help you with the snow!!  I need to work these babies..lol.  Thanks so much for the wonderful comments on my site! I appreciate them.  I did get my DH to hang my bag back up after I read your post! He just rolled his eyes..duh.. he thinks  I won't use it.  I'll have to show him! The girls even bought me boxing gloves a couple of years ago when I got the bag.  It's so fun to work with but sometimes the dang thing nearly knocks me over. I'll have to check into that playstation thingy, sounds fun! Have a great evening! I think I'm having a brain fart, I couldn't figure out the google reader thing.

oh my god!

You shoveled over a foot of snow? You are my new hero. Major props to Angel, the queen of snow days! Hehe!

I hope you had a nice snow day - soup and grilled cheese sounds good. We're expecting between 2 and 6 inches tomorrow, unfortunately I don't think that qualifies as enough for a day off. Boo! Do you think you're kids will be off tomorrow too? Or are they good about getting the streets plowed?

Have a great evening!

Deserved

You deserved your sleep in especially with the workout you had facing you.  That is an awesome workout you got with the snow shoveling.  That converts into 145 steps per minute if you are counting your daily steps.

Blessings to you.  Chargail

Hey Snow Girl!!

I am so happy to hear your snow pants fit!!  I knew they would.

Mmmmm...hopefully the bloaties will go away soon.  Hate those!

Hope you've had an awesome day!

Hey!

Angel, I bet you are drowning in snow!  I'm sure you heard about our "state of emergency" here in oregon.  all our snow blew away, it warmed up fast, and now we are having flooding.  Shitty!

I can't beleive you shoveled for 3hrs.  That has to be like 4 hours of barnwork for me!  I bet you burned some mega calories.  I really like this playstation 2 dance thing but I'm trying to decide between that and the new Wii system where you get to be active with all the games.

Great job on the workouts!

Great

feeling about the snow pants I bet.  Here in Malta we never get snow, we sometimes get hail and it melts immediately.

You did get a lot of exercise going for you there.Keep it up.

Nontraditional Workout

So, not only did you dance for hours, you shoveled massive quantities of snow??  All hail Angel, the workout queen!

And congrats on the snowpants - that's such a great NSV!  Stay warm . . .

Wow

Thirteen inches of snow and THREE HOURS of shoveling?!?!?

Okay I think I'll stop complaining about the inch or so that we got!
