I really should change my outdoor thermometer. It read 0C (32F), so out the door I went in my usual walking suit. I made the mistake of wearing ankle socks and my boots dug into the skin on the back of my foot - the agony! Anyhoo, about the temperature, turns out it was actually -9C (15.8F). No wonder I couldn't warm up when I got home! I'm glad I went, though. I walked/jogged for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Upon my return I did 10 minutes of flexibility exercises. As a reward to myself, I ate my oatmeal while watching the rest of The Biggest Loser. I had gotten through 90 minutes the night before, but was too tired to watch the whole thing. I wasn't surprised to see who was eliminated.
I'm happy to report that the mysterious 2 lbs gained yesterday have disappeared. Weird!
Bowling tonight - can't wait!
Is there a husband-of-the-year contest going on that I'm not aware of? Mine has been absolutely AMAZING of late. He got the Xmas lights up, has been grocery shopping, picking up and doing homework with the kids EVERY NIGHT, AND he made his famous spaghetti sauce last night. Oh-My-God I'm in HEAVEN!!!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate walking into the house after work without having to first stop for groceries and picking up the kids. Plus I haven't had to help with the homework or cook for that matter. I just walk in the door and sit my butt down with a glass of red wine. If that isn't romance, I don't know what is!
Have a great day, everyone!

yay!
Send that nice hubby right on over here! Well...actually can you just send the "romance" of not having to do anything when you get home over here?
I am so proud of you being out in the cold...I'm not ready for winter!
When my husband get all sweet on me like that, I know it's cuz he wants something. Is it possible your hubby wants something from you?
Wow you're brave for walking in that cold. I hate the cold and it's even worse when you don't live in it and when you visit it, it goes right into your bones!
You are the bomb.com, There is no way I could get up early and go walking/running. When you leave out is your husband up with you? That is the hardest for me when everyone is sleeping but you. I am glad to hear that your 2 lb gain was not real!
is hard to find!! Seems like we both have winners.
Sorry to hear it's so cold up there - we were in the 30's this morning, which isn't too bad, but I think a cold snap is headed our way for the weekend. Figures!
Only 2 more weeks of The Biggest Loser and their crazy 2 hour episodes. Ridiculous!
Your hubby sounds fantastic! What a sweetie, taking care of everything like that!
And good for you for going to walk in the cold and sludge. I know I wouldn't want to walk in the yuckiness! I hope you gave yourself credit and that you have an amazing time at bowling tonight! Here's the hoping for lots of strikes. Good luck!

Mine too!
There must be some kind of contest going on because my husband is doing the same thing! Especially the nights when I don't get off until 7 or 8 pm, he always had dinner ready! I'll take that over a dozen roses any day of the week!
You are a hero!!! My gosh, it gets to be 40 degrees outside and I am immoblized.......I can't workout or get outside because.....I WILL FREEZE TO DEATH.
You are doing so good and you have such preserverance.
Husband of the day has already been awarded to my hubby today. Maybe your's will be husband of the year.
I was not surprised by the vote off on Biggest Loser last night either. I have always loved that show, however, this year has been different.....don't like it when they start throwing twists into the competition.
Yes, that must be it!! Mine has been pretty awesome lately, too! He didn't even get mad at me for shopping yesterday! He politely listened to me (he had to HEAR me, whereas you guys only had to read about it! LO) while I rambled on and on and how much everything was! I could see the wheels turning in his brain adding it all up, but he was cool about it. He folded laundry last night, did the dishes--he even brought me coffee this morning! What are these men up to? LOL
It sounds like a few of us got lucky in the DH department, huh? :)
