First off, I'd like to apologize for not commenting on any blogs today. I've read a few so far, but still have around 50 to go. With all the work I have piled on my desk, I doubt I'll be able to get into the EP routine until tomorrow.
Thanks to everyone who wrote me while I was away. I wasn't going to blog today, but since everyone wants to know how the shopping trip went, here's a quick post:
The 5-in-1-room situation worked out really well. In fact, we all got along super well and laughed until our bellies hurt. We got in TONS of shopping, especially on Friday when we hit the stores at 4 am. I won't get into the messy details, but needless to say Kohl's was the CRAZIEST I've ever seen. I'm talking MINIMUM 2 hour waits in the checkout lines. Some of my friends actually did it, but I put my stuff down and walked out into the mall for breakfast. No way was ANYTHING in my hands worth waiting that long for.
At 5 am, some other stores in the mall opened up, so I enjoyed peaceful shopping while the nutjobs were sweating it out at Kohl's. I ended up buying lots of Xmas presents for the kids, plus I even grabbed a few amazing deals at JC Penny just for myself! Saturday and Sunday I didn't buy anything but a few groceries. All in all it was a great trip and I will definitely go back next year - preferably to New Hampshire.
Needless to say, I was NOT on plan this weekend. I didn't go completely overboard, but definitely ate to my heart's content at mealtime. Saturday night we drank 2 bottles of wine between 3 of us, so were feeling no pain. Last night I raided the kids' Halloween bag and scoffed approx 10 miniature chocolate bars. I also ate chips and drank a Diet Pepsi. Why not end the weekend with a bang, right? Today my eating is back to normal, so losing the 2 lbs gained shouldn't be a problem (despite the fact that TOM is right around the corner). I didn't exercise this morning, opting instead to catch up on some much needed rest.
Have a great day, everyone!

Sounds wonderful!
It sounds like you had an amazing time. I am so happy.
Ok, you had an off weekend. but you know that laughing burns calories right???
No worries about commenting, we know you're keeping tabs on us ;)
I totally lost my edge this week/end. My vice was the damn leftovers *sigh* But Kohl's was crazy here too! I didn't even go because nothing in there was THAT serious to me.
for posting! I just wanted to make sure you survived and got home okay. You're much braver than I am - I didn't go into any stores until Saturday, and then only visited Talbots.
Sounds like you had a great time and I'm sure those 2 lbs will just be a blip.
Catch up when you can! Thanks for the update. Sounds absolutely CRAZY!!! My worst nightmare! I think things might settle down a little this week and then I'll get some shopping in. I really haven't been in the mood.
Glad you are back on track again today! I missed you while you were gone. Take care and talk to you soon. Shelley
Glad you survived the mad rush over the weekend. I am with you on the 2 hour wait. I can barely stay still for 2 minutes LOL. When you get caught up on your work come over and visit. spending time with family and friends sounded great!
I was just there today and bought a cute little snowman outfit for my friend's baby boy and it was only 6 bucks! Pretty good deal! Glad you had a great time shopping and 2 hours wait is a long time. I only waited 45 minutes at Disney store to buy my daughter's christmas present. It was definitely worth the wait for me. Glad to see you back too!
That's where I am going this weekend for a party dress! I'm glad you had fun this weekend and that it all worked out for you, with the room situation. And yay for great sales!

Glad...
you had a great time! I've never been shopping on bf, even though I've wanted to. I can't imagine waiting in line for 2hrs. I had to wait in line a half hour at walmart the other day and this is a very small town. That about tried my patience!
