I was all set to tell you about the great walk I had on dry roads in balmy 41F weather this morning. I was so thrilled not to have to wear my heavy boots over my shoes, that I stepped out with a spring in my step. I even jogged for awhile. That was until, halfway through my walk while on the other side of town that the snow began. Not so bad at first, actually. By the time I got to the bottom of the hill, it was a full-out snowstorm. I'm talking wind-whipped bullet-like snow pelting my face. I was still half an hour away from home! Well, I made it safe and sound. Whew!
I went for a massage and manicure before work. I must have slept crooked Saturday night, because I've had a pinch in my lower back ever since. It's much better now. As for the manicure, that was a necessary evil. I HATE having my nails done. They were WAY overdue, though.
For those of you who asked for the link to Kimby's discovery, it's thedailyplate.com. Not only does it track calories, it also tracks carbs, sodium, fat & protein. I love it! You also enter your daily activities, which increases the number of calories you can consume. Cool huh? Since I eat pretty much the same thing every weekday, I find their meal tool handy - instead of having to enter the same list menu items every day, I just group them under a name. For instance, I created "weekday breakfast". When I enter my food for the day, I just add that group (I can modify items individually if I need to). Thanks again, Kimby!
That's all for today - have a great one!

Winter is here!
It's supposed to snow here too. I think it is safe to say that winter is officially here! Does that mean I'm allowed to bust out my Christmas music yet? Oh well... the tree is going up on Friday whether it's allowed or not! Hehe!
I'm glad you made it home safe, though. And a massage sounds heavenly. I hope your back is feeling better.

Thats dedication
I am impressed that you would be out walking at that temperature, that is dedication. I would still be huddled under the covers hoping for warmer weather. I would love a good massage, never had a professional one but it sounds divine.
Oh yes, you got a massage!! I'm glad you took my advice, and that you're feeling better.
It was snowing here just a few minutes ago. I can't believe it! I am predicting a long cold winter.
Okay, I've been trying to use this daily plate thing. How can you add an additional food once you've already added something - or do you just add everything at the end of the day?
we never get snow here in Malta. I saw snow for the first time when I was 19 in Bulgaria - it was wonderful. What we get here is hail.
Although some things were expected to be nicer, Paris was still wonderful. It is after all one of the most romantic cities in the world. So the trip was a success.
Massage sounds heaven - During the few moments in my life when my nails are of a decent growth I also love having manicures. Why do you hate them?
Well done on your perseverance in walking/jogging. Here the temperature is a wonderful 20 degrees Celsius right now and walking is a pleasure.
At least the snow made your walking interesting! :)
I hate manicures too and rarely get them. It's the smell of chemicals and nail polish I can't stand. I don't like the feeling of my nails afterward, even though they look pretty. I don't mind pedicures, they don't bother me as much.
Thanks for sharing the website link. I felt dumb after I realized you mention the website in your title in the last post.
The snow sounds AWESOME. I love seeing snow fall from the sky. I don't like it when it stays on the ground and gets dirty. I am glad you made it back home safe and sound. Yeah, I am glad that you are enjoying the dailyplate. I am so glad Endurer shared this website with Kimby. She is also teaching me how to log my daily cals. as well. Thanks for helping us Endurer. I am a WW gal so it is hard to fully convert me over. Take care Angel. I will try and check on you while I am at Disney!
Holy moly! Woman!!!! I just saw your post pregnancy pic.....*thud* thats me fainting........I am SO proud of you now more that just a few seconds ago!!!
Okay, we get snow but at least we're not in New Foundland eh?
Sounds like fun! Although, I can say that b/c you made it safely home! I'm glad you find the website helpful! I love it. Endurer introduced it to me! I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Whither the weather
One thing I actually miss about Indiana and Michigan is the snow - here in London we're famed for getting all four seasons in one day, but I'm here to tell you that snow DOES NOT COUNT unless it sticks (no matter what my Australian boyfriend claims). However, running / walking in the snow? Not for the faint of heart. I salute you!
