I am ON TOP of the world this morning. I had to step back up on the scale several times because I couldn't believe what I was seeing: 166.4. That's 20.2 lbs gone since February! Happy dance!
I decided to give my ankle one more day of rest, so I slept in an extra hour. I did, however, get up in time to do my 45-minute weight training program. Better than nothing, right? I'll do my flexibility exercises and walk tomorrow - promise!
I did something really stupid yesterday. I left work a little early because I had several errands to run. By the time I got out of the grocery store I had less than 30 minutes to pick my kids up at school. I was so rushed, I left my husband's case of beer in the cart. It wasn't until I got home and watched hubby uncap a bottle that I realized what I had done. I called the store immediately, but they confirmed someone had already taken off with it. Oh, well, I guess I'll just have to chalk it up to a "senior moment". Thankfully it was a 12-pack, and not a 24. Hey - it made someone's day, right?
Although I didn't do an official walk yesterday morning, I made sure to park really far from the stores I had to visit. Because I was limited in time, I really hussled. I think I got a decent amount of cardio out of it, although I didn't break a sweat.
I started watching TBL this morning before driving the girls to school. I can't wait to see the rest when I get home. I can tell you one thing - I will definitely keep those trainers in my head while I'm away next week. If all goes well, I won't gain 10 pounds in Cancun.
I'm meeting my mom for lunch today. She's flying to Toronto tomorrow morning for a 4-day shopping trip with her sister in Philadelphia. I'm sure she'll have a great time.
Have a wonderful, healthful day today, my friends. Thanks so much for your continuing support. I couldn't do this without each and every one of you!

YAY!!!!
Oh wow!! Congratulations on all your hard work! You deserve to say goodbye to those 20 pounds. And while you're on vacation, if you get tempted to eat, just remember how great it is to be 20 pounds lighter. I can gaurentee it will keep you from going overboard.
Anyway, congrats again! WooHoo!!

Where's the Party and what time do you want us there?
Practicing my happy dance for ya!!! Wooohooooooo! Way to go baby! Congrats!!!
indeed!!! Over 20lbs - well done. I do agree that the morning is the best part of the day to do it. Even if I have put time away for it later in the day, either something crops up or I'm feeling tired and it finishes up not being done. Also, by 8am I'm already feeling very happy with myself for doing something so good for me already!!
I'm sure you will not gain 10lbs in Cancun. Keep up the good work.
Oh I'm so happy for you!! That's really going to help make your trip even more special. I wouldn't worry about gaining while you're gone - drink lots of water to keep the sodium at bay, and just have a wonderful time!
My friend with the office downstairs is going to call any second now, wanting to know what all the rumbling is. That's me, jumping up and down and doing the happy dance in honor of your weight loss. You're a star!!
I'm so happy for you!! That is awesome!!!! You're gonna have a blast. Congrats on 20 pounds down! Too bad you can't join your mom and aunt in Philly because it sounds like you need to do some shopping of your own!! Yay Angel!
We have to cross the bridge to get to our Ikea, so it's kind of far and with lots of traffic from people trying to get into San Francisco, so I don't get there often. We do stop there to pee and get an ice cream cone for like 50 cents on our way home from my SIL's cuz it's the half way point...we park in the loading zone and run in and out real quick. You can't beat the Ikea meatball dinner or the CostCo hot dog and a soda for $1.50, can you?! BTW, my husband informed I'm broke so I didn't go to Ikea today. :( Just not worth the drive for a cheap ice cream cone! :)
Are you saying that you can only buy $400.00 worth of stuff to take over the border? And it was only $250.00 before? That is going to be a lot of bags for the 3 of you...buy small stuff...? Or rent a UHaul! LOL
