I was bagging to my father this morning about my failed weight loss attempts. He suggested I write down everything I eat for a few days and count how many calories I'm ingesting every day. Here I thought I was eating all the right things in all the right quantities - turns out I've been eating 1671 calories BEFORE supper (which is my biggest meal). Lightbulb moment! Why didn't I ever check on that before? Now I have to figure out what I can cut out of my daily intake. Oh, joy.... :-(
This morning I began my 12-week A-List workout - I put my T-Tapp DVD aside for now, although I'll likely do it once per week. I did 15 minutes of flexibility exercises, followed by a 75-minute walk (with several jogs thrown in). What a wonderful way to start off the day!
Guess what? I bowled a 202 last night. I can't believe I've bowled over 200 two weeks in a row (that's a total of 3 times since I started bowling roughly 5 years ago). I'll tell you - my ball was ON FIRE!
Have a beautiful, healthful day, everyone!

Calories
If you still have the Fitness magazine in July or August on how to lose a size in a month, they have a calories guide for 1500 a day. It really helps me know how much calories I should be eating each meals and snacks. It's a suggestion to see if that will help you.
Great job on bowling over 200. I never made it that high when I took bowling class but I always find bowling a lot of fun anyways. :)
It's amazing how the simple things can slip us up. And yet, at the end of the day, it's calories in versus calories out the makes or breaks the diet. Let us know how it goes shaking things up!
Do'h and none of us suggested that to you? Oh geez. Amazing how things add up, you are right. That's the first thing they say at Ww - if you aren't losing or are gaining, go back to journaling your food.
That is a pretty obvious light bulb moment! I know, I feel stupid now! I'm all about counting calories and it never even occurred to me that you don't keep track. Good old dad! This is really good news! Even though you exercise so much, your body has just gotten used to it. The good news is that you are toning your muscles, now by cutting calories you'll loose some fat. My body is so stuck in a rut these days. I get anywhere from 1300 to 1600 calories a day and exercise 35-45 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I usually do ok with food, but I could sure stand to step up the exercise. Hey, now I'm having a light bulb moment! :)
Good luck! I hope you start seeing better results on the scale and can get 5 pounds off by Cancun!!! :)
Glad you figured out what the issue was! Keeping track of my calories works for me! You really don't realize what you're eating until you write it down!
