SS & I went to supper & bingo last night. Can you BELIEVE it? The Grand Tour Lotto Quebec, which is played by over 80 halls and which hadn't been won in weeks, was won by an elderly lady sitting behind us last night. She got a full card in 48 numbers, winning $113 500. Then she kept right on playing the rest of the night. I'd have peed myself for sure. She must have been in shock, because she didn't look all that excited to me. Ugh!!!
I ate too much pasta again this weekend. Friday night I took my youngest to a pasta joint for supper because she chose a place where she could make her own bread (Pacini's). For some strange reason, I wasn't really in the mood for pasta, so only ate about a quarter of my plate. I brought the rest home and ate it the next night for supper. Last night at Boston Pizza SS and I had spaghetti with pomodoro sauce and chicken. Neither one of us wanted a huge plate, so we liked the smaller portion offered in this "healthy" menu choice.
My youngest had ringuette again Saturday and Sunday, so I spent quite a bit of time in cold arenas. Saturday the girls and I walked up to pick apples. We had a good time, but those apples got mighty heavy on the 15-minute walk home. At least I got a little exercise in this weekend!
This morning it was back to the grind. I did my 45-minute T-Tapp DVD, followed by a 65-minute walk. Funny - I ran into my mother again. I had to run to catch up with her because she didn't see me come up behind her. Without meaning to, I scared the crap out of her (she was listening to her new IPOD shuffle...) I still can't get over how much she's slimmed down - incredible!
The girls have a ped day, so hubby is supposed to take them golfing this afternoon. Tonight I'm going to take them skating after supper. I wish I could skate - I never really learned how. Maybe Hubby will come with me, and he can skate with them.
The scale is still up over the 170-lb mark. I'll try not to get back on until Friday again. I'd REALLY REALLY REALLY love to be 165 for my Cancun trip next month.
Have an amazing day, everyone! Enjoy the beginning of a whole new week.

WHY is it
.......... that elderly people ALWAYS win big??? Aack! Oh, the irony!
I want to learn how to in line skate but I don't want to do that until I have health insurance. LOL
I went to a dietitian meeting a couple weeks ago, and the guest speaker was saying how vital carbs are to your body when you exercise so you wont start burnin muscle. So thats something said for your pasta this weekend. Which you really just had 1 and a half over three days. Are you sure you can't walk around the neighborhood or something while your girl is in the ice rink?? I would hate to be cold.
I've started working out in the a.m. as well now, its such a releif to get it over with!!!! Dont you think? Emi

WOW
No joke...about peeing yourself if you wont that much moola, I'd fall over in a faint for sure!
Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, and your exercise this morning...perfect!
. . . you're in a much better mood today. You really are the queen of busy-bee weekends! And I don't think your pasta intake was too much, given the way you ate in moderation. Rather, I'd say congratulations for that!
you never learned to ice skate? All that snow and ice? LOL I love to ice skate. I learned when I was little and I'm pretty good. In fact, I broke my arm a couple of years ago while showing off on the rink! I was speeding and totally tripped. Ouch. But you should really try it sometime...it burns a lot of calories, too! It will help you reach 165 in no time! You guys are so active! Bowling, Bingo, golf, ice skating. So cool.
I'm glad you seem to be in better spirits today! I hope you have an amazing day, too! Mine has been completely unproductive, but the day isn't over yet! There's hope!
