Yep, that's me, the Early Bird - boy was that worm yummy! I was up at 4:30 am for my workout this morning. You read that correctly - I even amaze myself sometimes (LOL). What did I do at that godawful hour, exactly? I started by dressing in my workout clothes, then grabbed a slice of whole grain toast with all natural peanut butter with a glass of orange juice. After lacing up my running shoes, I did my 1-hour T-Tapp exercises. THEN I threw on my sweater, IPod and water bottle and headed outdoors. Taking an entirely different route, I walked 45 minutes. After a nice hot shower I was ready for the day.
My bowels are really happy with me this week. I don't remember the last time they worked so well - sorry for the TMI, but that is a HUGE deal to me. Gotta love the regular routine of exercise and nutrition!
Last night I made calf liver. It was quite good, actually, although my youngest said it was too "squishy". Gotta love kids! While I prepared our supper, I also threw together a beef and barley soup in the crock pot. I hope it tastes okay - the girls have it in their lunch (I've never made it before). I'll keep my fingers crossed for them.
I perused my Fitness magazine yesterday, September issue. I'm late in reading it, as I only enjoy the articles when I'm 100% On Plan. There's a great plan for dropping one dress size this month. The movements are similar to what I was doing in February with the A-List Workout. What I particularly like is the weekly strength/cardio planner included for a 4-week period. I will definitely hold on to this article next time I need to change my program.
Work for me has quieted down. The accountant came to pick up the fruits of my labor - now I'm waiting for his questions and feedback before he presents us our financial statements. Fun, fun. Meanwhile, I'm all set for the new school year here at our family bus company. Fortunately my brother handles all the day to day operations with the drivers, so he's the one who's really stressed out right now. Thank goodness he insisted on assuming that role in the company years ago. I'm in charge of administration, so I don't interact with the employees all that much. I am also exempt from dealing with angry parents, disrespectful children, and demanding school board representatives. No stress for me (at work, anyway)!
Well, gotta go. I actually do have SOME stuff to do before the day is out. Have a great one!

Wow!!
Girl you are amazing. I love to sleep too much to get up that early and exercise. Maybe one day I will get there!! What an inspiration you are.
Wow, you are amazing. 4:30am? That's quite a feat. You got it all out of the way before the day began!
My dad loves liver and grew up on it. None of the rest of us have ever been adventurous enough to try it, though.
What you said about enjoying your magazine articles only when you're on plan really stood out to me. I'm the same! I get WW and Self Magazines and I avoid reading them when I am not doing well with diet and exercise. They are great for when I'm feeling upbeat, on plan and motivated.
That is so great getting out of bed that early to exercise, really... now that I changed my work hours to 5 a-1:30 p, I have been getting up at those godawful hours. I don't know if I could get up earlier for exercise, it will probably pretty much always be an afternoon/evening thing for me. Way to go on the healthy nutrition also!!
I am so proud of you for getting up and exercising. You can do it! And I guess, YAYYY for being regular?? lol...I havent checked in on you for while..Yes, Im a slacker..but I think of you often!! I hope all is well...Have a great week
I'm so glad things have settled down for you at work! WTG on getting up at the butt crack of dawn! Wow, no way I could ever do that! But it sounds like you had a great day Friday, and I sure hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
I got up at that time, but not to work out. LOL! You nut! I was taking out barking dogs. :) and then I crawled back into my bed. I bet it must've felt good to get in a great workout though. ;)
Gosh, when I say I admire you for what you did.....please believe me. I just can't imagine having the dedication to rise that early in the morning. I really would love to have the desire to do that.
Consider yourself a genuine inspiration to me. Blessings for what is left of the holiday weekend. Chargail
