Almost in the 150s

Good morning!

The scale has me at 160.8 lbs this morning.  I can't tell you how exciting it is to see how my persistence has paid off these last 30 days.  That's 10 lbs lost in a month.  Thank God for P90X!  Not only am I lighter, but I am also leaner and appear taller.  I am into my "skinny" jeans, and my smallest bathing suits fit like gloves.  LIFE IS AWESOME!

Tonight I'm going out to supper and a movie with my BFF to celebrate my accomplishments.  There will, however, be no wine at dinner and no snacks at the movies.  You know what?  I won't miss them.

I started reading The Spark.  Let me tell you this is an amazing book so far (I'm on Chapter 4).  I recommend it to anyone who wants their life to be the best it can be.  Just when I thought I knew everything about nutrition and fitness, along comes a book filled with valuable information, tricks, and inspiring stories.  I love it!

Finally Found My Stride

Good afternoon!

I know, I know, I've been away far too long.  I still don't feel like blogging, but have dropped by at the request of many who were wondering if I was still alive and kicking.  Well, here's to you, my dear friends:

I have finally broken back into the 160's, thanks to a nasty case of food poisoning 2 weekends ago.  I think I had a bad grilled chicken burger at Burger King.  In any case, I was sick as a dog for 3 days.  I swear I have never seen so much exit my body.  I'll spare you the details, but needless to say it was quite the detox.  I lost 7 lbs, gained back 2, then managed to lose them again.

Since joining Weight Watchers Online in December 2008, I have lost 13.4 lbs.  I track my food and exercise every weekday, saving my points for the weekend.  So far things are going great.  I exercise 5-6 days per week for at least an hour each day.  Eating has been going really well too.  I am still struggling a little with my wine intake, but I crave it less now since my illness.  I feel like I have finally hit my stride where eating well has become habit and exercise has become a natural part of my daily routine.  My energy level is at an all-time high and I truly feel, for the first time EVER, that I can reach my weightloss goal.

My goal for the end of May is 159 lbs.  Let's see how that goes...

Thanks for all your support, ladies.  It's nice to be missed.  Let me remind you that I still keep track of you on Google Reader and Facebook.

Good luck with your journeys!

CHECK THIS OUT!

I'm a loser!

Good afternoon!

The scale told me I did a pretty darn good job this week:  down 2.2 lbs!  That's 7.4 lbs since joining Weight Watchers.  Yay!

I bought some new clothes and shoes yesterday.  Some are a little snug, but should fit quite well by my sail date.  I should book a vacation every year in January so I don't overdulge through the holidays.  So far it has worked like a charm!

My foot is feeling better, so I managed a 35-minute interval training on the treadmill.  It was wonderful to run again!

I probably won't be posting here for at least the next few days.  I wish all of you Happy Holidays and all the best in the new year.  I pray we will all be closer to our goals this time next year.  Take care!

Buffet Survival Guide

Good morning!

Well, I survived the office buffet this morning.  I drank 4 cups of coffee and nibbled on celery.  That's it.  Nothing else.  Yay!  I just finished my lunch, consisting of a tuna wrap, V8, and grape tomatoes.  I also had an apple after the buffet crowd had disappeared.  I'm glad that's over with!

I haven't been able to continue the C25K, unfortunately.  I have a lump at the base of my middle left toe, which has left it swollen.  I've had it a few weeks, but now it really hurts.  One of our employees is a massotherapist, so he worked on it a little this morning - it feels a little better.  He's supposed to do it again tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes.  Meanwhile I managed to do my 30-minute weightlifting routine and 15 minutes of stationary bike.  Tomorrow afternoon I'll try to get a message on my neck, shoulders and left arm - I'm really sore, especially after lifting the heavier weights and barbell.

I'm starting to get excited for Christmas, now that school is winding down.  If I can keep my eating (and drinking especially) in check, I should be okay.  My goal is to get into the 160s before my ladies-only cruise January 8th 2009.  Even a 169.8 would do!

Enjoy your day, everyone!!!

My Tree is UP!

Good morning!

I came home yesterday to find that my husband put up the Christmas tree AND cleaned the house.  Needless to say, I was tickled pink!

I confess I did not exercise at all yesterday.  I sat in my workout clothes all day, yet never bothered to lace up my running shoes.  Today is another day, and I will do my program later this morning:  stationary bike, weightlifting, and C25K.  Speaking of the C25K, I am afraid to move forward with the program.  I dread running for an entire 25 minutes straight on Friday.  Just thinking about it gives me butterflies - isn't that silly?  Anyway, we'll see...

So, did you sit on the edge of your seat last night watching the Biggest Loser finale?  Did you get a load of Phil?  Holy crap!  Anyway, I won't spoil the surprises for those of you who haven't gotten to see it yet.  Let's just say I was extremely pleased with the outcome.

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

OFFICIAL WEIGH IN DAY

Good morning!

I lost 3.2 lbs on my official WW weigh-in this morning.  Considering how much I drank this weekend, I was pleasantly surprised.  Weighing in on a Monday is the pits!

This morning I started my 15-day Triolax detox cure.  Apparently my colon cleansers got stopped at the border, so I'm not sure they will ever get here.  Meanwhile, I decided to pick up a cure I've already used in the past.  Thankfully I don't have to fast with this one.  My stomach is very crampy, though.  I was pretty nauseous this morning until I started my exercise routine.  I'm feeling much better now.

Eating-wise I did extremely well at the Christmas party I was at last night.  Despite the wide array of yummy foods laid out, I filled my plate with veggies.  I also had a small chicken kebob and a small piece of vegan lasagna.  The wine was another story...

It's pouring rain here today.  So much for all the snow that fell.  It'll be mostly gone by the end of the day.

I'm crossing my fingers Hubby gets the Christmas tree up today.  I would have done it myself, but he cluttered up the storage room so badly with all his crap, I can't get to it.  I told him if he wanted a tree this year, he'd have to put it up himself.  So there!

Enjoy your day, everyone!

Successful Day

Good afternoon!

I confess, I did not exercise yesterday as planned.  With the snowstorm, taking my car to the shop, yada yada yada, I never got around to it.  Never fear, though!  I made up for it today with 15 minutes of stationary bike, 30 minutes of weights and 30 minutes of walking/jogging (intervals).  Yay me!

Eating was on track yesterday - I stayed within my daily point allocation without having to use activity points.  I also managed not to drink any wine, as I have a blood test Friday morning and can't drink for two days.  No sweat!

For supper last night I cooked an extra chicken breast so I could grind it up for lunches.  I managed to make 2 DELICIOUS wraps with it - I'll eat the second one tomorrow.  How's that for planning ahead?

Tomorrow night I'm off to supper and bingo with my BFF.  My mother is keeping the girls overnight and hubby is off to supper with his firemen buddies.  I can't wait to get out by myself - it has been such a long time!

Is everyone as excited as I am for the Biggest Loser finale next week?  I want Michelle to win so bad, I can taste it!  If Vickie wins, I will have to hurt someone.

Enjoy your day, ladies!
