Before After

Nike Marathon...

I know you're DYING with anticipation, and I am truly sorry it's taken me SO long to post.  Last night I was so sore and tired I couldn't sit at the hotel desk to use the computer (no wireless), and today I've been busy getting a rental car, visiting one of my good friends in Orinda and driving up to Sonoma.

I also don't have a real race report written yet, but I want you to know that YES...I FINISHED THE NIKE MARATHON!!!

Oh, but wait...don't get too excited.  It freaking took me 7:11:20 to cross that damn finish line.  The only reason I finished?  I hope you're sitting down, because you're going to be totally blown away by this.

RBR did the last 10 miles with me.  That's right.  Someone who I "met" here at EP, who I've only met in person ONCE, took hours out of her Sunday, drove up to San Francisco, waited in the freezing cold wind near the Pacific Ocean for me to haul my fat ass to mile 16 and proceeded to keep me company and give me incentive to keep going those last 10.2 miles.

I cannot put into words the appreciation I have for her and her support.  Thank you Stacey!!

I will work on a real report, because I know you want the dirty details of my pain and suffering.  I will tell you that even though there were moments that completely sucked shit...today I am ready to run again, and will entertain the idea of doing another marathon.  Don't even mention this to Jerel.

You're right, we've been waiting for your post.  I knew you were not still running the marathon - LOL!  Doesn't matter the time - YOU FINISHED!!!  We're all very proud of you.  You are quite an inspiration.  Thanks for sharing about your visit with RBR.  She's great!

Can't wait to hear the details.

Best regards!

Wow!

WOOHOO!

How awesome!   Who cares about the time?  YOU FINISHED 26.2 MILES!  I'm walking/jogging a half-marathon...lol...you know I don't care about time!

LOL...if you're already ready to go ahead and do another marathon,  I KNOW you will be leaving me in your dust in Tulsa for the half!

So proud of you!  Look forward to meeting you in Tulsa!

Hooray!!!

Of course we have all been waiting for your post!! I am so proud that you finished the marathon. I can't wait to hear all of the details!

great!

The time doesn't matter, finishing does, for that first time around.  That is really cool that Stacy ran with you, too.  Can't wait to read the full report.

yay!

Actually, I have been waiting on pins and needles to hear how it went! I'm glad you did so well and are even entertaining another one! Thats awesome! Did you know Stacey was gonna be there? That was really nice of her to run the last 10 with you.

As I was waiting for my bus at the airport last night, a bus full of about 50 TNT people pulled up and I had a chance to chat with a few of them. Most of them were walkers, and I got to see their necklaces. It looked like there were at least 2 different designs...?

So, are we on for dinner Thursday? I'll send you directions to Pacific Catch and we can meet there. Just let me know what time! Hope you are having a great time and are not as sore any more! Congratulations on your first marathon!!! woo hoo!
