In San Francisco

Hi everyone!!  We made it safely to San Francisco yesterday.  After checking into our hotel we walked up to the Fog City Diner for some lunch.

Then we headed over to the Expotique to pick up my race packet.  It was a very efficient process. 

We crossed the street to Niketown where it took me a few minutes to find my name on the wall of participants.

After dodging some idiots who were in the way I was able to get my picture taken.

I look as exhausted as I was feeling!  We headed back to the hotel to unpack and to rest.

Since I was one of the top fundraisers we were invited to a special VIP party at the Starlight Room at the Sir Francis Drake hotel.  Let's just say there were way too many woment crammed into too small of a space.  Not to mention the elevators were ridiculously slow getting to the 21st floor.  We didn't stay very long before heading back to the hotel for some dinner.  I was asleep by 9:00 pm.

Of course, I woke up at 3:00 am after having my first marathon dream.  I dreamt that the race was over, and I had the Tiffany's box in my hand.  The medal this year was oval, but the chain was too short for me.  I was pissed!  Then I woke up.

I have been super nervous today, which culminates in me spending too much time in the bathroom.  Better today than tomorrow, I guess!

We headed out early this morning to the Ferry Building for their Saturday farmer's market.  A very nice lady offered to take a photo of us.

As we were walking around we found a vendor selling smoked salmon sandwiches, so we decided to split one.  It was delish!

We also picked up cheese and bagels so I can have something to eat tomorrow morning before the race.

We're just chilling right now, but will probably go back over to the Ferry Bldg for lunch as I saw a good place to get some fish tacos.  Tonight is the TNT pasta party at 5:30.  Of course, tomorrow is race day!

I can so identify with your nervous "symptoms"...LOL...4 weeks from today I will be slowing everyone with me down with my nervous tummy having to make a pit stop every hour or so the day before!  I bet once you're up and headed to the start line tomorrow, the excitement of realizing your goal will be all you are thinking about, and those nervous symtoms will be long gone!

I know you have been busy!  Can't wait to hear race results :)  Make sure you enjoy yourself when you're running it because it will be over before you know it!

You should be finishing right about now....?????? I can't wait to hear about it!!! Tiffany necklace too small! What a nightmare!!!! Ugh! You had a pasta party at the Starlight room?? Fun! I went to a gay bar in San Diego! LOL!
