Lucky Thirteen!!

I just realized the marathon will be my 13th race of 2008.  Oh my gosh, that’s insane - considering I’d never run a race until April of this year!!  Monday’s race went great – no PR, but no PW either.  I finished in 1:20:59, which is about 2 minutes slower than my 10K PR.  I'm working on a RR.

Of course, things are busy at work, and I’m exhausted.  I’m seeing my chiro for one more adjustment tonight, and I’m also getting my legs kinesio-taped.  Then I have to go home and pack, making sure I don’t forget anything I will need on Sunday.

I have made the executive decision to start with everyone else at 7:00 am.  If you do the early start at 5:30 am you cannot go faster than 15:00/min miles at the beginning.  I know I can go faster than that when I first start a race.  It’s the end I’m worried about!

I am going to seed myself ahead of the 12-15/min milers though so I don’t get stuck behind too many walkers.  From the many race reports I’ve read walkers are an issue because they walk 2, 3 or 4 across.

I’m taking the computer with me, so I can let you all know how I do on Sunday.  Hope everyone has a great weekend, and I appreciate all the internet cheering I can get!!

You go, girl!

Wishing you all the best on your race...I know you'll do fine starting with the regular pack, although that 5:30am pack would be about my speed right now!

Look forward to your race report after the race, and will be cheering you on from TN!

the rest of my cheer didn't show up?

Good luck!

Good luck!  I'm rooting for ya!

YAY!

Can't wait to hear how it goes. Remember, pain is temporary, pride is forever! That doesn't mean you'll be in pain, but there will inevitably be a point where you will think "it doesn't matter - I just want to finish," and you'll ease up. KEEP PUSHING! You will be so proud of yourself later :) I'm already proud of you!

:)

I can't wait to hear all about it!! GL girl!!

GOOD LUCK!!

Hey Andrea!
Haven't heard from you in a while, but anyway, I assume you're just really busy.  Wanted to wish you all the best for your marathon tomorrow!  Take care!
