TGIF!!

I know…I’ve been a bad blogger. This has been the world’s longest week. I saw Tara on Tuesday and she proceeded to kick my butt – or mostly my abs, because they haven’t recovered yet! I guess that’s what happens when you don’t see your trainer for 3 weeks. 

I also haven’t been feeling very well – I don’t think my body likes Bactrim. Went home from work early on Tuesday and took Wednesday off. Just really glad today is Friday.

Even better – next week we’re headed to Las Vegas for a few days! We leave on Wednesday, and my wonderful travel director at work asked his SO to see if he could get us upgraded, and he did! We’re flying First to LAS, and then he was able to put us into the bulkhead row on the return. So awesome!! We feel pretty lucky since so much is going on with the airlines right now. We’re going to give them a really nice bottle of wine.

Tomorrow is a day of beauty. I’m getting a mani/pedi – I have to make sure she doesn’t play around too much with one of my toenails, because it’s going to fall off. I want to keep it as long as I can so the new nail can grow underneath some more. Sounds great, doesn’t it?

I’m also getting my hair cut & colored. I’m a little early but my hair has to look good in Vegas!

On Sunday I’m running in the Newton 10K. Jerel and I drove the course last weekend – let’s just say I won’t be getting a PR. It’s pretty hilly, and considering I haven’t really run since the half, well, I’ll be lucky to finish in under an hour and half.

Hope you’re all doing well – the boss is out today so I’m going to stop by and visit once I finish processing expense report!!

Good luck on your 10k. Hills suck.  Literally!  They suck the life right out of me.  Even if I was feeling great right before the ascension.  I'll work on that.

Your beauty day sounds fun and relaxing.  I hope the toenail stays intact.

Oh, and I got your little note.  You know you didn't have to send that, right?  But I appreciate the art of thank you notes.  So many people have abandoned it.  I still write them and am now making Tatum write them too.  Okay, so she mostly just signs her name.  She's FOUR!

I got my note too, and I was so happy.  Dh brought it in yesterday, and said "who do you know in Boston?"  I looked at the name and knew right away!!  (from your e-mail)  I just got a big smile on my face and said... "I got mail from the blogs!  Real live mail from the blogs!!"  How cool was that?    Of course, you really didn't have to do that, but I LOVED IT!! 

Thank you for the thank you!!! 

I love to send notes too, mailnly because I love how it feels to get mail, and I want others to feel that way too. 

You are going to do great with the run, and I'm so happy that your support is rising. 

You look beautiful in your new picture, and Jerel's uncle Allen looks pretty spiffy too.  What a handsome fella!!

and i must say - thank you for the thank you note - i too thought it was very cool to get actual mail from one of my internet friends! and thank you for all the kind thoughts you sent my way - i think it really helped me yesterday - DH wanted to go out to dinner last night to celebrate her life... but i said no - because i was getting weighed and measured today for my boot camp class i finished - so i said we had to wait until today - and then we got to celebrate two thing... my mom's life and..... read my blog to find out!

PR or no, just getting up and doing that 10K puts you waaay ahead of where you were this time last year.   Besides, hills or no hills, you'll probably do better than you think.  

Have a great time in Vegas next week!   Umm... and be sure to do plenty of things that need to stay in Vegas.

I'm such a bad blog friend, I know! I miss you, too. I love your new picture from the party!! You look amazing!! Love the dress!! Hey, you rocked the half marathon and ran another 10K yesterday! Wow, you're doing so well.

I don't have On-Demand, but my Jackie Warner DVD came today. I'll have to try it out tomorrow when no one is home to laugh at me! :)

I just wanted to be sure and stop by real quick to wish you a wonderful trip in Vegas!! I wish I could go  back again...I had so much fun!! So, I know you have lots of plans and dinner reservations, but be sure to stay in the moment and have a blast!
