Travel Girl is Feeling Awesome

Today was a great day - I recognized a couple of behaviors that may have been the reason why the scale hasn't moved lately.

I used to always go out and get my salad at 11:30 to beat the lunch rush, but when I was eating the Think Thin bars I wasn't hungry, and if I had work to do then I wouldn't go get my salad.  Around 1:00 pm I would be hungry, so I would eat some almonds because the microwave is in high demand until 1:30 or so.  Today I made sure to go and get my salad at 11:30 even though I had to stop working on a presentation.  (I put the almonds in my desk drawer so I wouldn't be tempted to eat them.)

I also had regular coffee with some half & half rather than my usual nonfat latte.  I made sure to check off what I had eaten during the day on my JC menu, as well as track everything at The Daily Plate.

Tonight I did 30 minutes of strength training before my BURN running class.  When I got home Jerel already had some brussel sprouts roasting to have with dinner.  I'm getting ready to have my last snack of the day and then head to bed.

By the way...I don't think I've mentioned that TOM is 3 weeks late as of Wednesday.  As some of you know my cycle has been crazy the last few months - showing up a week early or a week late.  Well, this is the latest it has ever been - and when I say ever, I do mean ever!  I think menopause has arrived.  If it doesn't show up in the next couple of weeks I will ask my doctor for a blood test to check my hormone levels.  (And no...I don't think I'm pregnant either!)

Hope everyone has had a great day!!

haha.. that was my thought too!  i'm proud of you for recognizing what was happening with your lunch schedule and getting that salad on time today.  if i wait too long to eat, i generally overeat the next meal as well.

i too have been tracking my food on the daily plate and am lovin' it!  i'm a bit of a geek and i love all the different types of charts, graphs, and statistics you can track.

it's the little

things that sneak up on you!  I know now that you are being more vigilant...the scale will start moving.

Missed you!

Hiya!  I just looked at your new AFTER pic - wow!  Quite the hottie, aren't you?  I'm glad you enjoyed your trip.  Welcome back!

Hey girl!

Good ot hear from you!  It's nice to get some answers as to why you were "maintaining".  Now you can move forward!  Yay!

Interesting..

It's amazing how those little things in our daily routines can really make a difference!   I'm sure now that you've identified a few things that could be throwing off the caloric deficit that you need to lose weight, you're going to see some changes on that scale.  Although, I have to say, you're lookin' pretty darn good and nobody'd ever guess you were still in the 190's!

By the way, Andie said you had found a 5K to do... today?!  If I got my facts straight, how did it go????  Do tell!
