back to ww
So, Monday I went back to ww with my hubby in tow. He did great. I had to laugh at him though, because I told him that he didn't have to do anything at meetings just listen and only say something if he wants to. Then the first thing the leader does is a group activity. She asks us all to find someone that we don't know and ask a couple of question. I gave him a "sorry" look which was returned with a "not what I want to do" look, but it all turned out okay.
So, I am fatter than ever. Nice! And now I can say that I need to lose 100 pounds. so that's great. I have to lose more than I have ever lost before just to get to my 10% goal.
So, our first official day on program my mil had surgery. It was pretty stressful, but she is fine now, and I did great staying on points. DH ate a cheeseburger and fries for lunch, but compensated by having no dinner so I guess that is okay. I got a salad instead of french fries and I am so proud of myself. I have noticed that I eat out of boredom a lot. I am way full, but was still looking for something to eat. At least I can recognize it though. So that's a step. I am going to take my measurements tonight. My sweet hubby has a business trip this weekend so I won't be there to tell him what to eat. I am nervous for him.

Hi Amber
When I saw 'WW' in your post I had to have a peep. I'm in the UK and I am also following the WW plan. I used to go to Slimming World and swore by it, but needed a change, because I guess I 'thought' I knew the diet so well.
Well, I have found WW so much easier, and like you I joined a gym. I bought the WW exercise DVD and did it most mornings before work. I have stopped doing it so often now though, because I was getting bored with it to be honest. But I still try to go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week.
I think the exercise thing is the hardest to get used to. You can eat pretty much anything on WW, so long as it's in moderation, but to make yourself exercise when you don't really want to is hard.
I reckon you should only do exercise perhaps 3 times a week, and really put the effort in for a good session when you have over indulged on a night out.
If you push yourself to exercise alot, your body will get used to it. When you give in and stop, your body will miss it and the weight will start to come on again. So, stay with steady exercise that you enjoy, that way you aren't so likely to give in.
It is so good to hear your hubby is joining you. So many are difficult to convince that is will be good for them too ! We have a husband & wife at our meeting too, and they are doing so well 
You shouldn't worry too much about him whilst he is away, he is a big boy, he knows what he shouldn't do, just like you.
You focus on yourself, and if he does start to drag behind, your achievements will inspire him even more.
Come, 2008 is here now, you should make the most of the new year, ready for the new you. Make a note of the clothes you wore this christmas, keep them handy, then next christmas take a photo of yourself wearing them, and if you have been good to yourself they will be falling off you !!

But I love Vegas and plan to come over in 2010 (my 5th wedding anniversary) so you never know, we could meet in the end !!
So, remember how IMPORTANT your goal is to YOU and your life style, get focused and ACHIEVE that photo next christmas !!
