Dinner
As much as I wanted Lasagna, I went with my original plan.
Chicken with rice and peas. Mmm. I was actually so hungry that ANYTHING sounded good.
Workout went really well today. Bumped my rope-jumping up to 30 minutes instead of 15...makes a huge difference. I was TIRED when I was finished.
Going to bake a carrot cake now, I think. I'm missing a cake pan. : /
Edit:
Ate too much. Too much. Oh dear. Don't /make/ more than you want to eat, and you wont eat too much.
I freaking hate cooking for one. I end up throwing so much away. Or eating it. Dangit!

Silly Work-Out Tips
As I've been puttering around waiting for the gym to open, I've though of some of the things I do to remain motivated about working out.
Here's my silly list:
- Love your workout! Find something that you actually enjoy doing so you don't dread the grind. (I like to do circuit training, stationary bike, jump-rope, and BALLET!)
- Try to go at the same time every day. You'll get comfortable with the people that are there around the same time as you, as well as knowing your routines and machines. This goes for aerobics class and home as well. If you always watch Divorce Court on the tread mill, you'll always want to when it comes on.
- Get some great shoes!!! I love my Puma's. I don't think big, clunky cross-trainers are better. If you dont NEED the support, find something light and comfy. (And cute!)
- Drink water well before you go. Hydrate early, and you wont be so thirsty while you're actually doing your activity. You'll be less likely to stop and refill.
- Brush your teeth! Don't ask, just try it. For some reason, I always feel better about my workout when I've got a clean mouth. I literally can't go to the gym without it anymore.
- Go out and buy a great workout outfit. There's nothing worse than wanting to go to the gym, but feeling like you don't look good enough. Buy an outfit that FITS your body, makes you feel good, and you'll want to go wear it!
- Get some great music. An iPod, a CD player, or a radio. Sometimes your thoughts are the only thing that bring you down...and if you're jamming away to some crazy tunes, you might be less likely to call it quits.
- Smile at the people around you! They think you're looking at them for the same reason you think they're looking at you. Let them know you're there because you want to be. A big smile might just make their day.
- Find a work out buddy. There is no greater motivation than knowing someone is waiting for you, counting on you to be there, and using you as THEIR motivation too. Help eachother, spot and encourage. You can reach your goals together, and then celebrate.
Hope that perhaps some of these can work for you as well as they work for me. :)
I miss my work out buddy. : /

I guess.
Staying the same is better than going up, no?
Doesn't feel as good as going down. But I've got time, and motivation, and the means to do it right, so it will get done.
Gym doesn't open until 1 today, so I'm going to putter around until then. Would you like to tell me why I get up at 7:00 am on a Sunday when I have nothing to do? I guess it's because that's what I do.
Going to bake a carrot cake today to bring to the hospital. Not going to eat ANY of it. Not even a taste. I have that much will power.

First Setback.
I suppose, if I'm willing to write about all of my successes here, I should also be willing to write about my failures.
Although, it is good to remember that if you don't allow yourself some wiggle room, you're more likely to quit all-together.
So I went to a movie, and got a small popcorn (no butter) and a box of Whoppers. I didn't need the chocolate...but I needed the chocolate. And even though I felt guilty, I felt good knowing that I wouldn't need any tomorrow. Or the rest of the week. Even with this extra, I still didn't break 1400 calories for the day. So I'm not going to beat myself up...I'm just going to keep on going good. :)
I'm also going to go to the gym tomorrow to do Cardio even though it's normally my day off. I can work off the extra calories I ate today, and it fills a whole hour of my lonely day. Plus, I really do love my cardio days.
Hopefully, my competition had a slip up this weekend too. My fingers are crossed!

Sigh.
Days without work are too damn long.
It's only 4:15, and I've done everything I wanted to do today. Now, there's nothing. Only boredom, and that stupid lonliness.
I ate some tuna on crackers. I am SERIOUSLY craving something sweet right now, so I'm going to go have a nap instead.
I like winning.

Saturday Workout
Spectacular workout today. :-D
Did weights. I feel really strong. I've gone up on everything now. Even doing 20 lbs for my triceps. My form isn't perfect because I have no spotter, but I do the best that I can!
After my circuit, I jumped rope for 4 quick minutes to make sure my blood was really flowing, and then stretched. I've been doing my ballet stretches after every single workout. It takes an extra 10 minutes, but it's worth it. I went from totally losing my splits less than a week ago to almost having them back already - all three ways. Once I do have them back, I'm keeping them!
Ok. Had a protein shake and half a banana when I got home. Why only half, you ask? Because I realized not that long ago that if I stop eating something when I'm not hungry anymore instead of full, I don't eat nearly as much...and I'm still satisfied.
10 almonds, for the junk in them to make my cramps go away.
(BTW, I think grocery shopping should count as a work out!)

Good Morning World!
I am losing weight! And holy shit, it feels wonderful!
Up on a Saturday morning half an hour before my alarm goes off to let my dog out. AND HE GOES. Those that know me know this is an accomplisment.
My Saturday is off to a great start. I would love to keep it that way. Want a wonderful workout, then to get some groceries on the way home, clean my house, and then go in to work for as many hours as I can stand! Then come home, watch a movie, call my mom, and call it a night.
Had a Pria bar for energy. Have energy. Excellent!

Dinner Tonight
I went to the gym to work out, and found out unexpectedly that it closes at 8:00. I managed to get in 20 minutes of jump-rope, and two ab workouts before then, so I'm probably ok. But I'll be doing weights tomorrow!
I had a power bar before I went to the gym, and a double shot of protein shake when I got home (because I didn't have any yesterday.)
That's about good for today! Bring on the weight loss!

Quick Lunch Post!
Had a small chicken caesar salad for lunch! Ended up not having a protein shake for breakfast. Going to go work out after work tonight.
Things going well!
Edit---
Added to the banned foods list:
- Hospital Chicken Fingers
- Soda (Diet or Regular)

Morning Sans Workout
Was up too late with my friend Rex lastnight. Didn't get up early enough to go to the gym. That means no Sunday off. :)
Only having a protein shake this morning. Surprisingly, I feel really good, despite having only a few hours of sleep. I hope my accomplice can say the same : /
To get to 115, I have to lose about .28 pounds a day. That is pretty consistent right now. To get to 110, I'd have to lose about .4 a day. Might be a little unrealistic.
But the terms were not who reached their goal, it was who lost more in the 6 week period. So I'm going to win. <shrugs> No contest. ;)
