No Scale Monday! (Dejavu anyone?)

Here we are again, my second week of not weighing in. And feeling good!

Had a busy weekend: had a VERY late night on Saturday drinking home-made alcoholic punch and didn't get much sleep. Did I hear someone say once that Vodka is a good drink to have that is low-cal? My punch had tropical juice, diet lemonade and vodka in it. I drank a fair bit, though. (So worth it. Yummo! Also made me a Sing Star legend.)

Yesterday's dinner was pretty average too, but you know what? I ordered it, ate it, resisted dessert and felt pretty darned good. I don't want to spend every waking minute regretting the things that I put into my mouth. I think making the choices I'm starting to make is a great first step - if I start denying myself anything, I'll fall off that dreaded bandwagon and end up right back where I started. Yesterday I ate weetbix, one sausage on a roll for lunch, 2x bega stringer cheesesticks (YUM) and a steak sandwich with fries for dinner.

Today was back at work - which equals back into routine. I like routine. Routine is my friend. I was hungry ALL DAY TODAY. Maybe because I have my friend 'TOM' visiting, but really.. even after my usual cereal brekky and a cuppa, my stomach was still gurgling! I need to start drinking more water/cordial I think. That might fill me up.

Food eaten today - Weetbix, cup of tea, green apple, diet strawberry yoghurt, cheese stick, banana sandwich, cheese stick (I'm a trifle addicted, lucky they are only about 80cals). Dinner was a piece of grilled chicken & veggies. Snack was Cheese & Crackers and a cuppa.

Exercise done today: 30 mins // 3.7kms total. I did a 20 minute run (2.7kms, yay! Made it through without even stopping once today, struggled in the last couple of minutes though) followed by a 10 minute walk (1km).

Choice

Being able to make the right choices is huge, as is balancing what you really crave (be it a steak sandwich, fries or superfabulous punch) with healthy choices at other times.  Sounds like you're really figuring it out!

Thanks for checking up on me over the weekend - I'm okayish, which is not too bad.

Yeah, TOM stopped by my place too, and, like you, I am so hungry!  I can feel full and still want something else to eat!

Good job on resisting dessert though.  I'm still working on that one!
