Had a day off
Yep, yesterday the diet went to pot in the evening. The convention was great fun but alas, all they served was horrible greasy looking muck so ended up having two Go Lower bars so come dinner time I was really hungry so ate way too much. I admit I make the choice to eat. I really fancied a splurge as I was feeling rather sullen at the through of yet another caesar salad. Figure if I only permit these odd moments, then that's not so bad. The next splurge is likely to be my 40th birthday which is in September so it won't be happening every week.
Back on track today though
Hope you all had a good weekend.

Itchy rash
I'm so hoping it is just the humidity but my face is so itchy. It started with a lumpy itchy chin and has worked up my face to my cheeks. Not visible although my cheeks are red (not that unnormal) but it's very irritating and my skin feels sore. Going to put it down to the humidity rather than a change in diet.
Another good day yesterday. I was really tired but forced myself to cook for me and the hubby. Glad I did as I really enjoyed my dinner of meatballs and spaghetti. I really must learn to make my own meatballs in tomato sauce - any recipes greatly appreciated
This is likely to be my last post until Sunday and Monday. Tomorrow, early, we are going to Birmingham to Auto Assembly which is the European Transformers Convention (the cartoon not the electricity variety hehe). Shall try and be good as I am on a roll here. I've familiarised myself with the hotel restaurant menu and they do my fallback chicken caesar salad. I've got in some nut bars as snacks and shall take some fruit. Just have to avoid falling into temptation.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Grapefruit
Well since a few people have asked - I just eat the one grapefruit in the evening - I eat it like an orange. Not tried the tinned segments in juice yet but may do as I guess they will be less messy. According to some of the research I've read, grapefruit juice works too but nothing beats the fibre of the whole fruit. Yep, I'm of the opinion that fruit juice is evil stuff
I'd be curious to see if it works for anyone else - it's hard to say how much psychology plays a part in these things.
Shall keep this post short. Only problem with posting daily is that my life just isn't exciting enough, not that I'm looking for adventure. I've read the books - I wish for adventure and next thing I know there'll be too much adventure. Yep, I'm in a silly and cheerful mood - back up again, woohoo!
Hope you all have an excellent day. Party on

Feeling Mellow
Not down in the pit, just firmly on the ground mellow. Watched Spiderman 3 last night and that brought me down the final step - got me feeling really sad and yes, I know its fiction
I'm kind of glad I'm mellow to be honest. Whilst not being diagnosed with bipolar, my moods do swing back and forth and I'm enjoying the unusual numbness I'm feeling at the mo. So this is a positive as far as I am concerned.
14 days - that's how long I have stuck to the diet without a single deviation
Miracles do happen hehe Or should I say we can all make miracles happen. I do not think I have ever stuck solidly and strictly to a diet for that long ever. Seriously, a few days, cheat, a few more days, cheat - that's my normal diet plan. What do I put my miracle down to? Well, that's hard but:-
1. The holiday incentive - got to be thinner by 31 October.
2. Support from my fellow EPers, not just those who comment, but those whose blogs I have read. Thank you.
3. Grapefruit - seriously, being the sceptic I thought this was going to be a load of rubbish, but it has worked for me big time. I don't get cravings - I don't want pizza. What is wrong with me haha I am truly shocked over this effect that grapefruit has on me. Having spent time and money on Acomplia, Reductil, etc. I never would have thought the humble grapefruit would have been far superior. Whether this works for anyone else, I do not know, but I will no longer be without a bag of grapefruit in the fridge.
4. Hotel Chocolat Turkish Delight - it's sickly, gooey and sweet, sweet, sweet. Just 4 pieces hits my sugar spot. Another item I shall always keep in the cupboard.
5. Head - my head is with it and whilst it is, I'm going to ride the wave for as long as possible.
Hope you all have a good day

Review of Month One on EP
Well, it's been up and down but at the moment I am on the up up up (that being down down down on the scales).
Can't believe a month has flown by already.
So what's changed:-
1. 7.75lbs gone for good.
2. No gallstone pain - a big bonus to be honest.
3. No acid reflux - the major biggie for me.
4. I feel lighter.
Can't say I'm fitter yet but to be honest, I'm not putting that much effort into the exercise yet.
What have I got planned for next month. Hmm, guess:-
1. Diet to stay the same - I'm happy with it and it is working.
2. Need to get consistent with the exercise even if it means just doing 10 mins a day.
3. Carry on blogging everyday as it really keeps my focused.
So, here's to another month with EP. Cheers to you all

It's Monday - woohoo!
Yes, I'm trying to be positive. Okay, I admit it, I really am glad it's Monday. Last night I got a hit of the cravings, but did not give in, and I won't tell you my dream last night but think Hansel and Gretel with pizza haha! I'm surprised I didn't wake up ravenous enough to eat the bed.
Scales - I have now lost 7lbs
The graph is looking flat but I had taken a water tablet before my last log of weight so that makes a big difference.
Phew, it's hot! I didn't get to sleep until 0230ish this morning due to tossing and turning. I'm hoping it is cooler tonight.

Holiday booked
Went to see mum today and we booked the holiday - got to lose lots of weight for 31 October
Mother was very supportive of my diet today - no forcing of cake or food. She's obviously been thinking about dad and that has perhaps brought back into her mind what he said, when he was seriously ill in hospital, about forcing/offering me food when I did not want it..
I had 12 raw Irish Rock Oysters for lunch with lime. I love oysters but have to admit, even as a main course 12 is too many. I can't believe how filling they are and for so few calories! Only thing is that they had a bit of the shell in which was annoying. My mother kept saying I'll get food poisoning, but hopefully not - would think the chef in a specialist seafood restaurant would know a bad oyster when he saw one! Think I would to be honest.
Had to replace my Tassimo coffee machine after spilling brown rice all over my other one this morning. It got in the mechanism and the filter. Still, the new one is able to take the new style drink discs to chai latte here I come hehe!
Hope you all had a good day. Thank you so much for your support. I genuinely, hand on heart, appreciate you all and consider you my buddies. Thank you

Had a fantastic day yesterday
The sun was shining, I stuck to the diet and I did 10 mins of step on the Wii.
It's another beautiful day today and it definitely helps. Also think eating a grapefruit before dinner seems to help but not sure why - psychological maybe? Who knows.
Okay, thanks to txlass (www.extrapounds.com/blog/meltaweigh/) I have decided to set up a motivation board, two in fact, one for the bedroom and one smaller one for the kitchen. Not sure what I will put on it yet but shall add to it as and when I feel something has inspired me.
It's Friday - yeah

A target date
Well, my mum has given me a target date and something to aim for. She wants us to go on holiday to Tenerife will her at the beginning of November and wants to book the holiday on Saturday. The gives me approx. 3 months to get some weight off so I don't get those heart palpitations as I approach the check-in desk, followed by the near heart attack of finding out the seatbelt doesn't fit - nooooooooooooooooooo!
Well that is one big incentive. When I feel like stuffing, I shall just picture a thin, good looking air hostess smirking whilst asking me if I need the extender. *Shivers*

Any excuse
Okay, I'm back on track re the food - woohoo :D
What I have lost myself over is the exercise on the Wii. It's not so much that I don't have the time, but when I finish work I'm not in the mood anymore and the hubby is playing his Xbox on the one and only TV. Oh, he would stop and let me Wii if I asked, but I'm content to sit there and stroke the kitties whilst watching him shoot up some terrorists hehe
I think once this busy week is over I shall be able to get back into the routine of exercising at 1700 hours, then going to make dinner, before maybe carrying on with work.
I definitely need to do some time planning
